#he/him pronouns for aziraphale

Note
do you happen to know any fics with fem dressing aziraphale, but hes still male? dont get me wrong i love ineffable wives, and fem aziraphale but im dying to see aziraphale in fem clothing as male presenting in a fic!! :))
Here are some fics with fem he/him Aziraphale...
In The Eye Of The Beholder by Puerinrotis (G)
Aziraphale didn’t like presenting as a woman. He hadn’t done it in a hundred years, at least, and he would’ve been content to never do it again. Yet, when Crowley came to him, saying that he got an invite to Wimbledon and he needed a lady to bring along, the angel agreed to go.
Four Times Crowley Went Too Far and One Time Aziraphale Went Too Far by Mitch_D_Punk (T)
Throughout all of human history, the rogue Demon and not so good Angel kept running into each other. No matter where they were, the other always seemed to be there. This is just a fluffy four + one of extra scenarios through out human history with Aziraphale and Crowley just generally making a mess of things and enjoying human life.
The Serpent and the Lady by summerofspock (T)
Aziraphale was thankful Crowley was nowhere to be seen. He would never let Aziraphale live this down. Bestowing a kiss upon the winner of a tourney? Crowley would surely mock him for years to come.
An Arrangement of Convenience by Blue_Sparkle (E)
Aziraphale works to purchase a bookshop space, but currently being a woman-shaped creature has its drawbacks when faced with rude property owners. The most obvious solution is to get Crowley to act as his husband and deal with all that nonsense, of course.
Miss Cosmos Beauty Pageant - The Winner Takes it All by DreamsOfAlexandria (T)
“It was all for the greater good,” adds Gabriel. “I really don’t know what the two of you like about Earth so much, but I think we ALL can agree that we do not want to fight another war. Right, sunshine?” Aziraphale nods weakly and Crowley slowly sits down again, still looking furious. The room is silent for a moment. “So,” Crowley finally asks, “What is the Great Plan?” “Oh, it’s quite clever. The two of you will enter the Miss Cosmos Beauty Pageant, make it to the final round and a jury of humans will announce a winner. The winning side get’s to rule over Earth and Heaven and Hell both will acknowledge the outcome. There will be no war for the rest of eternity.” Gabriel smiles cheerfully at Aziraphale and Crowley. “Right, good one,” Crowley snorts. “So, what’s the real plan?”
Time Flies (When You're Having Fun) by Mussimm (E)
Versailles, 1769 - Aziraphale has a blessing to perform at a masquerade ball and it's important that he gets this one right. So important, in fact, that he can't seem to leave until he does. But with a fancy dress, an attentive demon and an endless supply of champagne, it's a little challenging to stay on mission.

vampire AU but it's Aziraphale who is the vampire and Crowley is a very, very tired college student with a filing job in hell a corporate office and just happy that the hot vampire who occasionally stops by to politely ask for a sip apparently loves doing the dishes and folding laundry

Listen, I do take issue w people using different pronouns for the ineffable husbands. It was never explicitly stated that they use all pronouns (pls lmk if I'm wrong here). Just because they're technically genderless beings doesn't mean they don't have a pronoun preference. I am aware that when they are fem presenting people use she/her for them, and I am open to the possibility of them not minding or liking all pronouns.
It just feels like misgendering to call either of them she/her when no one else is. It makes me uncomfortable. Take Muriel, everyone uses they/them for them, which is great! People don't tend to misgender them in fandom, and when they do they usually correct themselves. Why is it different when Crowley is currently using he/him? Why is using she/her ok then? Because he used she/her at one point? Genderfluidity does not necessarily mean that any pronouns are ok at any point, they can concretely change, it's not an open pass to use any.
Tldr: it feels like misgendering to use she/her for the ineffable husbands when they are clearly using he/him.
Also, absolutely headcannon characters as trans, I love and support this!! I just don't like non gendered beings with clear pronouns given to refer to them being referred to by other pronouns.
I know this isn't a big deal, I just don't like it (and wanted to express that).

Thinking about how Crowley and Aziraphale are nearly always cis men in AU fanfics...
Which, to be clear, I am fine with. I've seen people ranting a bit about it being transphobic or erasure etc. to ignore the nonbinary nature of them. But consider: throughout history, the two of them, even Crowley, have most often chosen man-shaped bodies with male-gendered presentations. And I don't think it's transphobic to honor that preference.
The topic coming up in Or Be Nice in particular got me thinking about it. I loved Aziraphale not making gender-assumptions for Crowley and thinking in they/them pronouns for a huge chunk of the fic. Then, when Crowley finally confirmed the he/him, honestly I loved that too. By all means let's normalize cis-men being allowed to engage in gender-fuckery without having to sacrifice any of their cis-ness.
But it did get me thinking, that it would also be nice to see a nuanced non-binary take sometime.
What if, in that conversation, instead of saying he's "a plain old bloke," Crowley explains a more subtle situation, that he's not exactly male, though most often male-adjacent, and he/him suits best most of the time, if that makes any sense. And then Aziraphale could take a moment to digest this, perhaps even have a tiny revelation himself, and say he knows exactly what he means.
Because you can be nonbinary and still use binary pronouns. :)

In all seriousness, the non binary representation in this season is probably the best nonbinary representation I have ever seen in media.
Starting from Aziraphale not assuming Muriels pronouns and referring to them with they/them like it's the most normal thing in the world.
To Crowley (and Shax) using Beelzebubs pronouns so so so effortlessly.
No major talks like "What do you mean they?""I'm not a he/she I'm a they.""Huh? A what?" "Mom, dad *major inhale with tears streaming down their face* I'm non binary"
No "I'm non binary and it is so so so difficult whatever will I do with my life."
Beelzebub not needing to correct or remind anyone of their pronouns.
Misgendering being completely defenestrated
Non binary people being in the background and also being in the spotlight
Non binary people actually having personalities, feelings, thoughts and their own problems and not just being there for the character progression of cis people. (Or as a cash grab)
Just non binary people naturally existing. It's beautiful.
Edit: ALSO one of the two main characters (the two BOTH being actually non binary, like dafuq? You don't have that ANYWHERE else) outwardly stating they're non binary in a very casual and not at all heavy way
And the different types of non binary being recognised. He/him Crowley and Aziraphale, they/them Beels, Saraqael and the magic shopkeepers' spouse (both of whom are polyamorous!), she/they God, he/they Satan etc.

Good Omens season 2 wins because it’s such a safe haven.
Beelzebub and Muriel are non binary.
Maggie and Nina, two women, are a primary love interest story that feel free of stereotypes.
Nina’s partner Lindsay is never given pronouns so it’s left up to the imagination if Lindsay is a she/he/they.
The magic shop’s partner is only referred to as “spouse”, and at the ball they present as trans/non binary.
There were the two male presenting people in the graveyard who referenced Grindr.
Ms. Sandwich’s character shows support of sex work without shame.
While Aziraphale and Crowley are male presenting and use he/him pronouns, they could be gay/bi/ace/fill in your orientation here. Crowley even rejects being referred to as a lad.
I just love it so so much.
A lot of queer representation in tv/film feels forced, so small it’s hardly a blip, or it’s meant to give a laugh and be comic relief.
With Good Omens I feel safe. I’m watching something where I truly feel with my people.

Honestly, the discourse surrounding Good Omens about gender and sexuality is giving 2012 and not in a good way. So many views that people have are so rigid and unyielding that it feels they not only miss the point entirely, but also try and cram this story and it’s characters in to labeled boxes that have no place.
I am asexual, aromantic, non-binary, and in a queer platonic relationship. I see myself in many ways on screen in ways I almost never have before. Just thinking about how special this series is to me gets me all choked up. So watching people being vindictive over characterization is overboard for me.
Yes, it’s okay to see Crowley and Aziraphale as gay men. It’s okay to characterize them as non-binary/gender-fluid/agender and queer. It’s okay to see them as asexual. It’s okay to assume their relationship will turn sexual at some point. It’s okay to use strictly he/him pronouns for both. It’s okay to use any and all pronouns for them no matter what their presentation is. It’s okay to see them as trans. It’s okay to classify them as queer platonic, or romantic and sexual. I could literally go on all night.
Instead of celebrating the elaborate nature of them and the story, we’re infighting talking “yOuR StEALiNG aCe RepREsEnTatiOn”, “tHoSE aRe ThE wRoNG pRoNOuNs FoR cROWLeY”. Please just stop and let this unite us for once.

I am incredibly curious how people in the fandom see Crowley and Aziraphale/their dynamic, and what flavour of non-straight they tend to default to.
This poll is about the way you generally refer to them, what terminology you use, how they exist in your head, what fanfiction dynamic you most often seek out, and/or everything else!
It can also include what you default to due to fandom culture reasons. Any headcanons for their orientation are included in all of the options, so e.g., if you see them as asexual and gay or as aroace but tend to default to he/him pronouns and describing them as male-presenting that would be option #1.
The usual 'reblog for sample size' and also feel free to explain your choice if you want to.
Any attempts at queerphobic or general discourse will be blocked and—if possible—deleted.
