Arlecchino is confirmed to be cursed and we know hilichurls are cursed humans. Caterpie had similar cursed arms and legs. Not saying they have same curse but it seems to be implied it's similar. Considering her real name, Peruere, is eeringly similar to Perinheri from the latest book, I think Arlecchino's ties to Khaenri'ah are possible.
What is still left to be explained is, why does she glitch so much in her idles (as per the update trailer), what's up with the girl who looks like her dead friend Clevrie's child look, and how does Freminet fit into all this. He said he knew the previous Knave. And we know how the switch happened now. Was Freminet conveniently away at the time? Do Lyney and Lynette get adopted to the orphanage shortly afterwards?
I hope we learn these next week.

Awkward creator reader drabbles
This is based off a previous post about the reader being an awkward creator.
(warning, this all based off of chaotic ideas me and a friend had while on call, and this is not beta read, so I apologize for any bad spelling or grammar)
Imagine, just, having tea with Zhongli, and he's just talking about wine or something boring idk, and he notices that you look a little zoned out, like, eyes glazed over, mind clearly elsewhere. While he’s worrying about The Creator not liking him or whatever, you are just trying to figure out how to process being in another world, with all these people that you know everything about, but at the same time, don’t know anything at all.
When you notice him looking at you weird and not talking anymore, you worry that you may have missed something important. So you just blurt out the first thing that came to mind, to fill the silence.
“It's kinda funny that you're working under Hu Tao. She’s like, a billion years younger than you. Also, you should cool it on the adventuring, you might throw your back out gramps.”
And then, realizing what you said, you just grab your now lukewarm  (yes, he was talking for that long) cup of tea (or whatever else you want if you don’t drink tea)  and take a long sip, trying to hide your red face.
(Bonus, you choked on your tea)
Imagine going to Fontaine, and just gawking at the scenery there. Imagine, in order to find out about where in the timeline you are (and because you want to see some of your favorite characters) you decide to go to the opera house, and see if there's a trial going on, where you can ask Furina or Neuvillette about the wellbeing of Fontaine. Instead, you find a flier for Lyney and Lynette's magic show at a nearby theater. Deciding to go, you pay the ticket master, who looks in slight shock as the creator buys back row seats like a normal person (you were too scared to ask for a better seat while paying, so you just asked for the cheapest one)
Sitting down, you wait nervously for the show to start, all being completely ignorant of the panic and rumors backstage.
“The creators here! At our show!?”
“Calm down, it's fine, we don’t even know if it’s true.”
And, just to stir the pot, a tall lady sits next to you. You feel like you should know her from somewhere, she just seems so… familiar.
Realizing you had been staring for quite a while, you turn your head back to the stage, waiting for the show to start. About midway through the show, you realize who it is you are sitting next to.
The knave, fourth of the Fatui harbingers.
At the end of the performance, you shift in your seat, suddenly wayyyyyy more self-conscious than you were at the beginning of the show.  Wanting to say everything and nothing at the same time, you decide it's best to shut your mouth for the time being. It’s probably not even her, why worry-
“Excuse my rudeness, would you happen to be the creator?”
She knew you were of course, hence why she chose to sit next to you, instead of the front row seat that was reserved for her, as it always was at one of her children's performances.
“I.. am… but you can call me y/n! I don’t really like fancy titles or anything! Would you be the Knave? Or do you prefer Arlecchino? ack-wait , sorry. I’ll shut up now, let's start fresh, what do you think of the show?”
You half say-half shout, flailing your hands around, and then shrinking in your seat, trying to become as small as possible. Arlecchino chuckles.
“I think it was a lovely performance, as they always are. My children are very talented, you know.”
“Y-yeah! They're really great! I have to go! Great meeting you miss-Arlecchino-Knave-ma’am”
You say as you bolt out of the room, the embarrassment and social awkwardness you naturally possess driving your feet.
(Bouns, you tripped over your own feet and wanted the floor to swallow you whole)

okay okay arlecchino story quest thoughts
overall i liked it but mainly the whole duel sequence which was fucking awesome but some points that bugged me:
the release of arlecchino's animated short basically spoiling the entire story quest
mentioned in the tags of my previous post but yeah i think the story quest would have been a lot more... idk interesting? revealing? if the animated short had been released after this patch/story quest. you basically spend the entire first half of the story quest already knowing the "twist" and have to watch literally everyone else figure it out which is never really engaging nor fun story telling.
like you KNOWWW arlecchino is not "that evil" and you KNOWWWWW all these atrocities were from the previous knave so seeing literally everybody go through these theatrics is a little. sigh. idk. like i was just waiting to get to the boss fight bc i knew the corresponding cutscenes would be awesome (and they were) and getting random fatui insider knowledge was fun i enjoyed having what was effectively seeing arlecchino and childe in the office break room but we didn't really learn anything we didn't already know
also. arlecchino is hardly the first but it really is just kinda. sigh when you basically get a whole scene of the character explaining their OWN tragic backstory. once again genshin fails to show not tell
freminet
i know a lot of people are upset about the freminet timeline. honestly idc at this point i'll suspend my belief whatever yadda yadda but i do think it was a cop out for freminet to have like. not at least been SUSPICIOUS that clervie was possibly talking about the previous knave just because crucabena "didn't talk about it and all the experiments ended" by the time he joined the house
like he spent a significant time with clervie (half a month right?) trying to help her out and even if clervie was "a child stuck in the past" she wasn't exactly trying to hide anything and they ALL knew she was some sort of ghost or maybe something tied to memories/leylines. and he KNEW crucabena so i'm just like. a little aghast he didn't have any damn idea like at least make him suspicious right so he and the traveler can join heads and be like "hmmmmmmm something is not right here HMMMMMMMMM" like if you are SO sure arlecchino isn't "that kind of person" (ig this was more lyney saying this but still) wouldn't you consider maaaaaaaaaaaybe the previous knaves were?
there was a single moment when they were at the table sharing intel that freminet was "lost in thought" and i think that would have been a fantastic moment for freminet to be the star and voice his suspicious but we got literally nothing from that.
honestly just disappointed freminet didn't do more in the story tbh. the trailer was really hyping him up to literally change the game lol
the results of the duel
i mean we saw it coming we knew she was gonna spare those children somehow. idrk how to describe it like on one hand yes would be nice to have more morally fucked up characters and its a little disappointing that arlecchino isn't "that bad" she's actually super normal all things considering (childe fucking LIED) on the other hand i don't necessarily hate this is the way they made her character? but the result of the duel still felt like a huge cop out lmao like it was basically an indirect "your resolve towards family impressed me so i'll let them live" which was exactly how i didn't want this to be resolved but also don't know how they would have done it otherwise
arlecchino's curse/flames/????????
GIRL CAN YOU ELABORATE PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i know it has to do with her being part of some khaenrian (?) bloodline or something but lajdksfldjflads can you elaborate what do you mean your flames can be extracted and burn memories we're just all gonna take that and run with it huh
anyways.
regardless i loved the main battle cutscene in her boss form. loved that bit where she blocked freminet and lynette's dual attack and was like "sorry for what? this pitiful excuse for an attack?" i was banging my fist on the table i loved that bit sooooooooooo fucking much dear god
ending cutscene was expected and bittersweet but i liked it a lot as well. really the graphics and me just really liking arlecchino saved this quest for me LOL i think it has a lot of plot holes compared to other story quests but also a much more interesting story (bar is in hell) although you're guaranteed to get some sort of lore with a weekly boss but anyways it averages out to being a pretty okay but not spectacular story quest 👍 maybe like a 6/10, would have rated it higher if the animated short didn't spoil everything

Of Being Ladybug 10
A short one this time. The one after this we will finally see some action. I wonder if any of you have guessed about the new villain?

The cons of falling for family
<(**)>
Marinette stared at the sewing machine on her desk. Alfred had bought it for her to welcome her home. Bruce had bought expensive sketch pads and pencils. One of Bruce’s other kids (not her brother, even if Bruce called him her brother Dick) had sent an expensive Indian fabric. Gifts to welcome her to their family.
Bruce had spent the entire day with her, giving her a proper tour, asking questions about what she liked, if she wanted a different colour for her walls, what she wanted to do with her life… It had been overwhelming to say the least. Marinette had made up her mind at a young age and always knew what she wanted to do. When Diana told her, she couldn’t be anything Marinette had been, she had been lost. And now Bruce was telling her to be herself. To be Marinette again. To do with her life as she pleased, and he promised to be there to help her pick up the pieces if it all fell apart.
Her brand new Wayne phone dinged with a message on her desk. Marinette stared. She hadn’t received a text in a year. Unlocking the screen, the pre-programmed number and name of Timothy Drake-Wayne lit up her screen.
‘Hey, little sister! I have some people that want to say hi!’
Attached was a picture of the Miracle Team. Oh!
She hit video call. With every unanswered ring her anxiety spiked. She was about to hit end when the call was answered by a pretty blonde woman with blue eyes.
“Tim! The new sister is calling!” the blonde turned and shouted off camera. Before Tim could move to get the phone Vipereon was there.
“Marinette?” his voice was calm, but inside he felt anything but. A year of radio silence. A year!
“Luka?” her voice is just above a whisper, cracking as she is filled with emotions again.
She cries silently as Luka takes in her face. She’d lost weight. Her was cut. And gone was the pink.
“My melody, are you okay?” Luka asked finally. Screw all of Paris. If she needed him, he would be there.
“I’m okay. I…” she couldn’t talk. She just took in the image of Vipereon on her screen, listened to the shouting happening off to the side of the other’s. Kwami how she missed them. Luka smiled in understanding.
“We’re not going anywhere, Marinette. Take your time.”
And so she broke down. She told Luka everything. Everything she couldn’t trust herself to tell Bruce.
And Luka listened, never interrupting. And when she was done, he told her how amazing she was. How after everything that had happened, she could still keep going. And that she would figure out what to do, but if she really needed time, to just ask for it. He promised to use the Zeta tubes as soon as possible to visit as well.
And for the first time in a year, Marinette truly smiled.
< ( ^ ^ ) >
Bruce woke up early the next morning, to see if he could convince Marinette to go to a fabric store with him. When he got to the kitchen however his whole body froze. Alfred as standing by the counter, relaxed and quiet as Marinette dashed around the kitchen in her pajamas. She had a big grin on her face as waffles and eggs and bacon and fruits all came to perfection under her practiced hands.
“Alfred…”
“She insisted that my pancakes were dry and bland. She challenged me. I did not have the heart to deny her” Alfred stated simply. A smile tugged at his lips, and Bruce knew. Alfred did this to help Marinette come back to the surface.
_ -
After a delicious breakfast, Bruce was shocked when Marinette enthusiastically showed him her sketchpad. The page was filled with a super-hero costume, mostly white and pink, with black accents and a black hood. (Similar to Gwen Stacy from the Spider-Verse movie, but reverse colours.)
In the car, Marinette also asked about modern and contemporary dance. Bruce smiled. They made a stop at the Gotham Dance Studio. When Marinette watched the different styles of dancing, her face lit up. Bruce signed the check and promised to get her the proper footwear.
In the fabric store, you would have thought that Christmas and Easter happened all at once. Marinette’s eyes were filled with glee. She was picky with her fabrics. While her back was turned, Bruce ordered some Dress Forms and ribbons, and the fabrics she liked he got in every colour they had. When she looked at Bruce, happy with a single 2 yard roll of fabric, Bruce smiled back.
When they got her school uniform, only to be worn on exam days, Marinette also got a tour of the facility. The school was massive, with three buildings denoting the different school levels. The tech was also out of the world amazing, with teachers using holo-screens instead of whiteboards, or blackboards like in Europe. Kids walked around with school approved and funded pads. Marinette felt very backwater hill-Billy right then.
When they got back, Alfred showed them a new room, set up while they were out. Bruce rubbed the back of his neck when Marinette balked at the dress forms and fabric. It was next to Damien’s art room, filled to the brim with paints and brushes. It was above Dick’s gymnastic training room. Marinette could only stare.
-_
The rest of the week went by in a similar manner. Bruce took the time to personally show Marinette around Gotham, talking about the history of the city, and it’s criminals. He took her to the office, introduced himself to her boss. Lucius Fox showed her, her new costume.
And finally, on Friday night, Batman patrolled with Knave at his side.
Marinette went to bed that morning with a big smile on her face. In her hand was her phone, a guitar melody floating quietly through the room.
In Germany, Jason groggily opened his eyes.

In fair Verona, our tale begins with PAVEL LAM, who is TWENTY-FIVE years old. He is often called PUCK and is NEUTRAL. They use HE/THEY pronouns.
Tumblr media
There were too many gold-hearted knaves in Verona, too many rogues who would surrender their mind, independence, and soul at the slightest show of softness from a pretty face. But what one never was, never knew, and never craved couldn’t be responsible for their DOWNFALL. Softness never helped make living off of table scraps any easier, it didn’t make his dirty rags of clothes any more comfortable. It didn’t bring back his mangy, sorry excuse for a father who’d been found wasted away with his equally shabby mistress behind some alleyway, it didn’t wake his mother from her drug-addled stupor to feed her only son.
The gods seemed intent on making a JOKE out of Pavel’s life, and so he resolved to beat them to the punchline. Armed with nothing but a dastardly sense of humor tinted dark with the dirt and tar in which he was raised, he bid his mother a goodbye and a merry “thanks for nothing!” and went on his way to carve a path with his nails and teeth. He swindled to survive, delighting in his own antics, only ever eating food stolen from another’s plate. He impersonated tour guides and stole unsuspecting tourists’ wallets as they cooed over street markets, he drank the wine of richer men as he distracted them with slight of hand. Odd jobs sustained him as he grew from child to teenager, though he was always sure to emphasize he took “dishonest jobs only. I didn’t eat dirt for the first eight years of my life just so I could wipe it off your floor.” He helped expose cheating spouses for a pretty coin and lost count of how many weddings he’d been hired to ordain. Not one job asked of him ever made him pause, none except for ONE. In hindsight, he should have asked for far more than what was offered, but Pavel was just as desperate as the client, who very clearly wasn’t as wealthy as he was vengeful. The job was simple. Kill the man’s previous supervisor who let him go. The target flaunted his wealth and was too easy to spot from the way his face contorted in disgust at Pavel’s tattered clothes. Killing him had been easy, albeit messy (as first kills often are), and to Pavel’s annoyance, his hands shook and his voice quivered when he reported back to the client of his success. “Are you alright?” they asked. What a LOADED question.
The rest was, as less interesting people would say, history. The killing was a thrill, yes, but it paid well, and the better he became the more people were willing to offer. Meager scraps became opulent feasts, he traded in his ratty clothes for fine leather and replaced his little hovel in Saint Petersburg with a studio apartment in the heart of Verona where the weather was milder. Some things, though, never changed, and though he could afford a sniper rifle or any other weapon that made his job easier and stealthier, he preferred his knives and revolver - call it VANITY for wanting to prove he could be a top-tier assassin who still relied on close combat. Clients and targets ranged from politicians to CEOs to diplomats, but he likes to think despite his CHANGE in fortune, he’s still the “same ol’ fun-loving curmudgeon” he always was.
He evades and escapes from the law, from loyalties, from his own conscience like TAR, slick as it slips through one’s fingers, eager to stain and ruin. His laugh rings louder than the cathedral bells, mirthful and dark, and it boasts of a man with no stake in vengeance nor sympathies, UNTOUCHABLE, walking the cobblestone streets as if they’re his own clouds upon Mount Olympus. One could argue there is no real malice behind his intentions, for that would insinuate anything beyond strict neutrality, and they’d be right. It was his oldest excuse in his almanac, that he couldn’t possibly give enough fucks to worry about anyone besides himself. He kills for anyone with enough coin, though no amount so far has been able to buy his loyalties. Assassinating was an ugly business, certainly, but mobs, permanence, consequences - well, there were FEW things that could make a jester CRY.
Tumblr media
ORPHEUS AHULANI: Past admiration. Pavel had only been a teenager when he first became acquainted with Orpheus, believing to have found a kindred spirit in him, a fellow anarchist and reveler. The admiration has since cooled into resentment and disappointment since Orpheus joined leagues with the Capulets - “Orphy, really, you’ve sold out! This is very not punk of you.” - and, sure, the guy was promised his own underground kingdom, but how much longer would it be until the Capulets decided they’d have no more use for either old Orpheus or his castle built from sand and shit?  Pavel’s always quick to remind Orpheus of how fickle organized crime can be, that if someone declares you ruler of an underground kingdom, they’d be just as willing to bury you alive beneath it.
NIKOLAI BORISOV: Unwitting victim. Pavel didn’t mean to ruin the man’s good word and reputation, really. It was an accident, a hilarious one, but sheer coincidence, and a collision was bound to happen considering their professions. Nikolai liked his explosions and dynamite and bombs (perhaps a bit too much in his opinion, but that was neither here nor there) and Pavel was running late to a spot where he knew his target would be and perhaps tripped over a wire or something and set it off some meters and meters away. Prematurely. Three hours prematurely, apparently. Strange how Nikolai can’t seem to get over it.
ALVA FAE: Showoff. Pavel gets it. He’s not the only one in Verona who can shoot a gun, but ever since Alva’s come to town all he hears about is how good a shot the opera singer is, how they could shoot the button off a suit and it’d somehow retail for higher than it was bought. The fact that they’re so reluctant to prove their finesse and insist that it’s all behind them irks Pavel further, and he makes it a game to see how far he can push them, goading them constantly into indignation (though never into blatant exasperation or violence, unfortunately). He’s convinced their saccharine demeanor is a front and delights in watching it flicker, just for him.
HUGO KIM: Vermin. It’s not often anyone earns Pavel’s genuine hostility– that would imply he cares enough to let them crawl under his skin in the first place. Oh, but he doesn’t care about Hugo - doesn’t really even know the guy, so it’s nothing personal. It’s just the man’s utter hypocrisy, preaching goodness and holiness and nonviolence when the priest is in cahoots with the fucking mafia that offends Pavel’s delicate sensibilities. Besides, God never thought to have mercy on a boy who had to crawl his way out of the gutter - if He had mercy on a bunch of mobsters, well, it’d be the least shocking thing Pavel’s ever seen.
Pavel is portrayed by JACKSON WANG and was written by EM. He is currently OPEN.

The Hook Siblings
Harriet:
So Harriet is canon as the oldest sibling of the three Hook children, however, it has never been said what the age of her is.
If the Villains were placed on the Isle twenty years ago, we can only assume that it would have taken the villians a year or so to get the Isle running well enough to live on and then maybe another year or so to actually settle enough to get into a routine, plus even villains would probably have hopes of getting off the Isle so maybe after being sent there it could take an initial three years of losing that hope.
So Harriet (as the first legitimate Hook child) is most likely either eighteen or seventeen.
As a pirate, many can assume that Captain Hook has a number of mistresses, but given his background as well as his story then there is a high chance that James Hook is actually rather faithful to his lovers and would take a new one after cutting ties with the former one or after they met their end.
Harriets mother is an interesting concept, I have heard of one idea that Harriets mother is a mermaid/siren which is perfection due to Hooks love of the sea and the mermaids were one group who didn’t wish to kill him on Neverland; it can also explain why Harry was born, if Harriets mother needed to go back the other side of the barrier or to the sea then she would have to leave her daughter with her father to be raised as another sea lover and a strong warrior. However, it is also likely that Harriets mother is a wench from land who either visited the pirates or Hooks bait shop and stayed with her daughter while Hook was too busy for his first born.
Harry:
Harry is the middle child of the Hook siblings, his age is canon as seventeen given the estimated age of Harriet, Harry is two/three years younger.
In my previous analysis, Hook may despise his son due to him being a boy and the link to the Lost Boys within Hooks mind.
But, there is also another reasoning for Hooks possible indifference to his only son; Harry’s mother.
Captain Hook was portrayed as a knave and a scoundrel so it would be a common perception that the siblings all have different mothers which could also explain why they are distant in the books, a reason for Hook dismissing his son could be because of the loss of his mother during birth.
With the conditions of the Isle, it is rather safe to say that one in ten births could result in either the death of the child, the mother or both during childbirth. There are also odds that in the years that the villains were living upon the Isle then they would find at least one love rather than a fling.
Harry’s mother was that love for Hook, she was the sails to his ship, the love of his life and when Hook found out that he was to be a parent again he was overjoyed, but the worst day of his life was the day that he lost his wife in a premature birth and gained a son who could mean his own death as well.
Harry was born early and many would have assumed that he would meet his end during the first few months as many children did when they were born before their time, but he proved everyone wrong when he beat the odds and became stronger with every passing day.
Calista Jane (CJ):
CJ is the youngest and the last of the Hook siblings (once again there is no age given) and while Harriet was never described to the audience we can only assume that she is of similar appearance to Hook and Harry, whereas CJ is pale, petite and blonde, she is the opposite to the other two Hook siblings who took after their father.
CJ is close to the age of her brother, so the theory above is relevant when thinking about the Hook siblings; with the death of his love, Hook may have found comfort in the arms of one of the women that worked in Gastons tavern which resulted in his youngest and last child.
CJ being another girl made it more bearable for the Captain and he named her after the woman he loved as well as the woman who comforted him in his time of distress.
The Siblings Relationships.
Okay so as stated, Harriet is the oldest, probably by two years, maximum of three years.
Harriet had her mother by her side for a number of her years, she was raised by her mother until being away from the sea and her home got too much and she was forced to leave her daughter with the father that she didn’t truly trust; by this point, Harry had already been born.
Harriets mother and Harriet are the reasons that Harry survived the length of time that he did, they both took him in and kept him warm and fed so that he could become strong and face the harsh climates and conditions of the Isle and because of that Harriet became Harry’s protector; she was both sister and mother to the male Hook.
The Hook Siblings can be compared to the Darling children from the same story.
Harriet is Wendy, she is the protector of her siblings either from a far or right by their sides, she looks after them and makes sure that they are keeping themselves safe on the Isle; but she is also the complete opposite of Wendy, she doesn’t mollycoddle her siblings, she makes sure that they know how to survive the Isle and what may face them outside of the barrier and also looks out for herself too.
The moment she was able to get away from her father and Captain her own ship, she took it; but she always kept an eye on her idiot siblings.
Harry is like a big child, he never truly understood how to show some of the emotions that he feels, he only knew negative feelings from his father and glares sent his way because of something that happened outside of his control. The only love he ever had in his life was from his older sister who he perceived as what a mother would be like but she left when he was fourteen and was stuck with his father and the hate for two years while trying to hide what Harriets leaving did to him.
CJ is the youngest, but she is also the only Hook child that still has both parents on the Isle, and due to that, she’s distant from her siblings.
She knows they exist and acknowledges them whenever she sees them (or when she knows they did something sneakily to help her with a project or a situation she was struggling with), but she isn’t as close to either of them and is more the apple of her fathers eye than any of the others so she is set to inherit the ruins of the Jolly Roger when the time comes for the barrier to fall and for them to escape.
