Even with the crackling radio static buzzing around him it was obvious he was in pain, voice strained by it despite how much he tried to mask it. -- ❝I was tasked with keeping Adam busy, killing him if possible. I suppose I may have tried to show off- make an example of him and that was my mistake.❞ How that had backfired. All that showboating had been for naught when he'd taken the hits, ones that he wouldn't have taken had he geared himself up with as many Angelic weapons as the others. He'd landed hits himself, if those had been armed right then there was every chance this could have been avoided. That Adam would have been dead at HIS hands instead of little Niffty's. His brows scrunched, fingers reaching for his cane but- that was gone too. Instead they curled into tight fists at his sides. -- ❝I'm sure it will heal with enough time, do try not to worry about me, my dear- I don't intend on going anywhere anytime soon.❞

this isn’t me hating “just cuz” but i also hate watched (🏴‍☠️) hazbeen hotel and i must say i don’t think the songs/soundtrack are even all that.. they sound kinda generic and more like someone took an ok other song and filled in the lyrics to be fitting to the show. It’s such a weird specific feeling. The only one I’d say was musically more engaging was Loser Baby.. and maybe poison if it was without the… context 😬.

to be clear they’re not grating again i just think it’s a bit sad to have the “best part” of the show feel like word fills of OTHER generic songs with not really any good “musical twists” on stuff

Take this all with a grain of salt since I’m not “musically educated” or anything so i can’t phrase it well

to solve this issue, i asked a well-informed neutral party (aka my friend (aka musical fan)) to listen to some songs. her opinion: "the music was serviceable, and the rhymes/lyrics were boring. it sounded like beetlejuice"

Starter for @the-hazbeens (Alastor) from Lux!

Lux was bored, like supremely bored. So they decided to check out the new hotel. They had heard a lot about it and didn't think that they would mind someone visiting just to look around. Even if that particular person couldn't get redeemed. Not in the eyes of heaven at least. Well- they didn't think so at least....

Suddenly they were uncertain if they were in fact able to end up going back to heaven or not. They didn't want to unless they got answers... hmmm - either way it didn't matter not right now.

They knocked on the door and waited a moment, expecting the princess of hell to open the door - so they stood there in their full fallen angel glory. Letting their freckles give them their more innocent appearance, eyes widen and pink. Wings tucked behind them and demonic tail flicking back and forth. Giving their best impersonation of an innocent little angel who'd fallen.

Luxury had no intention of keeping up the gig, they just thought it would make for a good first impression.
