Something I love about the movie is that it implies Constance worked things out with her husbands? They all stand beside her/work with her whenever we see the chase at the end- as well as stick around the attic haunting their photographs and portraits.
I want to think it’s like in muppets haunted mansion where she’s so charming/has such a hold on them they’re just “hey I understand honey~ , it’s fine… do I still have a chance” while occasionally complaining about their deaths. If for anything because this is really funny.
“She was… a great wife”
“What about the husbands she murdered?”
“Slay✨💅”

yes hello i heard you asked for harper propaganda so im coming to your rescue. i am assuming the gaslighting puts you off and I UNDERSTAND even for me it was an acquired taste but here are some of their charm points that i think people dont see at a glance
1. they love you. straight up they are infatuated with you. vrel has said that theyre kylar level obsessed they just happen to be more patient. vrel has also said that they for the most part dont treat other patients the way they treat pc and that they take every opportunity possible in their busy schedule to see them.
2. ik people see them as this insidious manipulator and yeah to some degree thats true but theyre such a fucking fail when you read between the lines. cums in their pants just from touching you. harper nobody is believing that having me kiss you is legitimate therapy and it doesnt help that youre LIKE 25 and do every medical/psychological profession under the sun what degree you have to have your staff hypnotized or something. blushes when you initiate anything. blushes when you have a big dick. virginity lines are shit like "say ahh" "please try to relax, im going to administer a suppository" "its time for your prostate exam" like ok buddy sure youre still trying to pretend to be professional while youre balls deep in my ass, just admit you have a roleplay kink
3. theyre so smug and its so fucking funny "nothing good on tv i take it" when you have your second pregnancy SHUT UP LMAO
4. their favoritism of pc is so blatant bc they dont give a flying fuck about ANYONE else. that scene where they have a random med student there to help examine you. the fact that theyve forgotten the students name,, who fucking cares theyre just there to feed harpers voyeurism kink now uh student. whatever your name is help me collect this cum out of pcs holes its for research i promise
ill spare you and stop myself here but ty for reading
omfg. asylumdweller themself coming to spread harper brainrot to me??? i’m honored….
Literally no better person to convince me than you LMFAOOO. WHEN YOU PUT IT LIKE THAT …… Okay yeah, yeah, the gears r turning I see the appeal now. 🤔
BAHAHAH. Harper, I’m sorry for not giving u a fair chance 😔 It’s my Whitney situation all over again … Hated them based off of the first ick I got. (Even though I clearly would enjoy their scenes and content if I didn’t judge a book by its cover PLSNDBDNF….)
Aw :( Love an obsessive, pathetic man. Fictional insidious manipulators are fun as fuck, look at my boy Cain <3 He’s the worst and I need him so carnally. Also, cringefail loser? I see… *nodding solemnly and taking notes*
“Nothing good on tv i take it?” IS FUNNY AS FUCK STOP IAIWJDNFBFN
THANK U FOR UR TIME AND EFFORT WRITING THIS!! /gen
i have much to think about ….

Poll: Which FIVE female Resident Evil characters are most likely to accept a dare to spend a night in a haunted house?
Tumblr media
As the gang is walking around town one evening, they spot a creepy looking abandoned house. Instead of moving along like sensible people, they start daring each other to spend the following night there.
Whether it be from a disbelief in ghosts or a need to prove that they aren't scared, a handful of them seem more willing to take the dare than the others...
And welcome Rachel who is stepping in for Sheva on her final day of vacation.

Better Homes and Hauntings - Molly Harper
Synopsis
Author of the beloved Half Moon Hollow series of vampire romances (Nice Girls Don’t Have Fangs), Molly Harper has created a standalone paranormal romance in which a dilapidated haunted house could bring star-crossed lovers together—if it doesn’t kill them first!
When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate—he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in nineteenth-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”
But Nina shows no signs of being scared away, even as she experiences some unnerving apparitions herself. And as the two of them work closely together to restore the mansion’s faded glory, Deacon realizes that he’s found someone who doesn’t seem to like his fortune more than himself—while Nina may have finally found the one man she can trust with her bruised and battered heart.
But something on the island doesn’t believe in true love…and if Nina and Deacon can’t figure out how to put these angry spirits to rest, their own love doesn’t stand a ghost of a chance.
My Thoughts
This book really ticked all my boxes – paranormal romance, sass, bickering, bantering, a historical mystery, a modern mystery (ish), and ghosts. Sometimes, these all appeared at the same time. Just not all from the same character.
I really loved the multiple POV this book offered. I loved seeing the events transpire from so many different perspectives, and how the house affected everyone differently. But overall, I loved that at the heart of it all, they wanted to try to solve the mystery of who, really, killed Catherine Whitney. (For the sake of ensuring this review is spoiler-free, I’ll say no more on the matter.)
I honestly can’t say whether or not I loved one character over the other, but as a group I loved their dynamic. They were all afraid to admit to each other, and themselves, that there were some very haunted things happening around the house, but once they admitted it out loud, they worked together to find a solution.
There was no secret-keeping, or gaslighting, or trying to sweep it under the rug. There a mildly reluctant acceptance of the events that were occurring, and a team effort to find out why it was happening, and how to stop it. And they really all worked so well together.
The mysteries were by far the threads that weaved these characters together, but they were fairly secondary to the connections being built and the overall goal of renovating the historical mansion to a modern version of it’s former glory. (Did I have to google what the Gilded Age was more than once to try understand? Yes. Yes I did.)
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and it made me realize that I’ve read a couple of Molly Harper titles before, a while ago, that I also really enjoyed. Once is chance, twice is coincidence, but three times is a pattern. It’s time I explore more of Molly Harper’s universe, and her series in full.

Here's something that's been on my mind for a bit (Lucy and Linda family momentt)
So later down the road!!! Linda and Lucy have a CHILD, her name is Harper!! And Harper is NOT A FAN of horses.
They find this out when trying to introduce her, she maybe around 2-3 years old, to the Soul Steeds! Linda tries to get her to even look at Meteor but Harper won't budge.
They continue to be like "well maybe she's just too little!" "she'll grow up to like horses :))" And eventually they get over the idea that maybe their daughter will end up liking horses but everyone else around them is pretty insistent on just putting her on a horse because that'll definitely help.
But yeah, When Harper gets older she's no longer scared of horses, but she doesn't like them and never rides.
The only horse she likes even a little bit is Tin Can. Because in her words: he is a silly guy.

I can't help you with Harper. I should like Harper. Labcoat, hypnosis. I like plenty of other fictional mad scientists, who think the Hippocratic Oath is for hippos. I should get the appeal, but I don’t. I do not like Harper. Kylar is the better obsessive loser to me. Hawk anon.
I GET A NAMED ANON ?? oughh what a wonderous day. 🤭🤭‼️ <3
AND YEAH I FEEL U!! They have a lot of traits that could be appealing 2 me, i Just haven’t experienced them in-game, so it hasn’t clicked in my brain like that LOLOL
Honestly I haven’t played DOL in a hot minute, but i’ll be sure to post abt my adventures when I eventually do ^_^!!
