TW/CW: Death Mention
Tumblr media
With Giovanni heading into his mid-fifties soon, he wanted to spend every precious moment he could with his young daughter before he couldn't maintain that level of activity anymore.
Tumblr media
It soon came to a point where Giulia couldn't hide her pregnancy any longer. She found it a bit funny that with Orsolina she had been flaunting her state but now she was scared of being too expectant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though as days and weeks passed with nothing to show for her fears but an ever growing stomach, Giulia decided that it was no use ignoring it because of her worries and spent more of her time giving Orsolina extra attention since the new baby would divide her time. Though Giulia wondered if Orsolina would really mind a less attentive mother given her destructive habits.
Tumblr media
By the end of Giulia's pregnancy she was feeling much larger than she had with Orsolina, or maybe she was just remembering wrong since she was more tired this time around now that there was a toddler around. Still, she was excited.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was early in the morning on July 8th when Giulia delivered her second child into the world, a daughter she named after her late sister, Osana.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just as he fell in love with Orsolina, Osana's little fingers might have wrapped against his, Giovanni's heart was deeply entangled by his little girl.
Tumblr media
Orsolina wasn't sure about the new development of having a baby sister but her Mama and Papa had no intention of letting her go without her share of attention so it hardly mattered that there was a screaming thing in the house.
Tumblr media
Though he adored his daughters and understood that they truly needed time with two children in the home before actively trying for a third, Giovanni was starting to build a resentment towards Giulia for not trying hard enough to produce a son to carry on their name and tend the farm especially with Giovanni getting on in years.
Tumblr media
Osana grew up with her mother's hair which surprised Giulia as often times lighter hair tended to be overpowered by dark hair. Still, Giulia felt that as an infant, her youngest resembled Giovanni more.
Tumblr media
That September Giovanni celebrated his 53rd birthday with his wife and daughters. Age was definitely taking its toll but it was more evident when he grew out his facial hair.
Tumblr media
Seeing her husband, Giulia couldn't help but wonder how her father looked now, if he had more lines on his face from age or if he had drunken himself into a stupor and died in a ditch someplace. It didn't matter much to her given the way they parted but sometimes the thoughts of his whereabouts crossed her mind.
Tumblr media
Even growing older, Giovanni still made time for Orsolina who was more and more evidently a daddy's girl to his delight. If Giovanni was home, he would have a little shadow following his every movement and he was more than happy with that.
Tumblr media
Giulia was fine with her husband entertaining their eldest since their baby was a ray of sunny joy in the wake of learning that Giulia's Uncle Ramon died at the end of October while visiting the churches in Windenburg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wasn't as if Osana was against her father's affections either, Giovanni could almost swear that Osana felt more fragile than Orsolina but Giulia noted that it was actually Osana who was born a bit stronger. Their younger daughter simply had a more peaceful demeanor than their older one who seemed to reject the idea of staying still from birth.
Tumblr media
Family life at the Morosini household was a controlled chaos as they learned to manage being a family of four from a family of three. It had been ten long years since marrying Giovanni but Giulia could say that she was happy with her life as it was for the moment. She didn't dare say it out loud but she hoped that for the time being she would be spared any more additions to the family for at least a few years despite Giovanni's hopes for a son.

One small step for man…. “Space Oddity" by David Bowie was first released on July 11, 1969 as a 7-inch single, then as the opening track of his second studio album David Bowie.
After the commercial failure of his self-titled debut album in 1967, Bowie's manager Kenneth Pitt commissioned Love You till Tuesday, a promotional film that was intended to introduce Bowie to a larger audience. For the film, Bowie wrote "Space Oddity", a tale about a fictional astronaut named Major Tom; its title and subject matter were partly inspired by Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) and Bowie's feelings of alienation at that point in his career. Musically, "Space Oddity" was one of the most complex songs Bowie had written up to that point.
"Space Oddity" was demoed in early 1969 while the Love You till Tuesday version was recorded that February, and the film includes a promotional clip of the song. After signing with Mercury Records, a new album version was recorded in June 1969 at Trident Studios in London. The track was recorded ahead of the album because the label wanted to release the single before the upcoming Apollo 11 Moon landing. After Tony Visconti declined to produce the track, seeing it as a novelty record, production was passed to engineer Gus Dudgeon, who meticulously planned the process. The recording features use of Mellotron, which was played by future Yes member Rick Wakeman, and Stylophone. The song was mixed in both mono and stereo formats, and the single's sleeve included an image, a rarity for radio singles at the time.
The single was rush-released ahead of the Moon landing; it received praise from music critics and the BBC used it as background music during its coverage of the landing. The single, however, initially sold poorly in the United Kingdom and was banned by radio stations in the United States. After it reached number 48 in the UK by September, Bowie performed the song on the British television program Top of the Pops in early October. The broadcast helped "Space Oddity" climb to number five, becoming Bowie's first and only chart hit for another three years. Following the commercial breakthrough of Ziggy Stardust (1972), RCA Records reissued "Space Oddity" as a single in the US, where it peaked at number 15, becoming Bowie's first US hit. The label also reissued David Bowie (1969) as Space Oddity; this release was promoted with a new music video that was filmed by Mick Rock. RCA again reissued the song in 1975 as part of a maxi-single, which became Bowie's first UK number-one single.

Happy 53rd Birthday Scottish actor Rory McCann, born 24th April 1969 in Glasgow.
Rory had a number of jobs before finding fame, one of them included painting the Forth Bridge, a job that, at one time said to be never ending, although  I’m not sure if it is THE Forth Bridge, or the Road Bridge as both have been mentioned in biographies on Rory, he has also worked as a landscape gardener and carpenter, before entering the world of acting in 1988 at The Actor’s Workshop, Glasgow.
Rory first came to notice in a television commercial for Scotts’ Porage Oats, in which he appeared as a scantily-clad hunk in a vest and kilt and little else wandering snowbound streets but warmed by the inner glow of the porridge. He claims that as a consequence he was often approached by people demanding that he “lift his kilt.” I have posted a video montage with the full tune “Aye” by Michael Bennet, you can find it on Youtube.
Rory appeared in the 2002 TV comedy-drama ‘The Book Group’ playing a wheelchair-bound lifeguard, a part for which he won a Scottish BAFTA award for the best television performance that year. Since then he has taken television roles as Peter the Great and a priest in 'Shameless’. He made his Hollywood debut in Oliver Stone’s 'Alexander’. Rory has never been in Taggart but did appear in another well known Scottish show, Monarch of the Glen.
Of course the role he is most famous for is, apart from the porage ads, that of Sandor “The Hound” Clegane in the popular Game of Thrones.
Film role have included, Beowulf & Grendel, Hot Fuzz and xXx: Return of Xander Cage
Rory used to be the frontman of a defunct band called Thundersoup in the early 90s. In 2017 he made a musical appearance as the drummer of Texas, a Scottish rock band, in their music video of Tell That Girl. He also plays the piano, banjo, guitar, and Mandolin. He has also shown up in the movie Jumanji: The Next Level, with fellow Scot Karen Gillan.
Since GOT ended Rory appeared a couple of episodes of the show,  The Irregulars and voiced a character in four episodes of the animated series  The Legend of Vox Machina.
Although not the most prolific of our actors Rory is in demand across the globe and often does voiceover work for adverts abroad, including  Australian beer brand James Squire, look out for it with the title  ‘Ordinary Be Damned’
Imdb  have nothing new on the horizon for him, but I did find out he is lined up to play  Edinburgh polisman  DCI Jim Daley in an eight-part drama.
Rory divides his time between homes in London and Glencoe, eh hates technology and loves being cut off and is known for living a solitary, transient lifestyle, he describes himself as such “I’m a man’s man. I go out climbing and live outdoors.” He used to solo rock climb and broke multiple bones in a near-fatal rock climbing accident in Yorkshire when he was 21. And ladies he is single, he says “I don’t have a mortgage, I don’t have a wife and I don’t have kids, so I’m quite happy bumbling along.”

Birthday
“Okay Doc me and Ryan were thinking we’d coordinate this year on gifts for Yaz’s birthday, wanna let us know what you got her?” Graham suggests over breakfast one morning as Yaz is out on her shift.
“Excellent plan, still can’t believe we all got her the same necklace last year.” The Doctor claps, remembering Yaz’s utter confusion at the table.
Ryan shrugs, whipping out his phone to show they both a picture, it’s a Polaroid camera and a few boxes of film. Graham nods in approvement as the Doctor purses her lips, that’s a great gift she thinks, they don’t have a ton of photos together.
“What about you Graham?” The Doctor asks, dogging into her fried egg sandwich as Graham asks Ryan to find the link on his phone, it’s a gorgeous charm bracelet with some additional charms he’s bought her. It’s cute, fatherly and ever so Graham. She flashes him a wide smile before swallowing, her tummy turning a little with anxiety.
“So what’s your gift?” Ryan asks, shovelling in another spoonful of cornflakes as Graham sips his tea looking over at her, a dribble of egg yolk on the corner of her mouth.
“Um well it’s in the concept stage right now.” The Doctor mumbles, inspecting her sandwich closely as she tries to hide behind her mug of tea. Graham knits his eyebrows together before shaking his head and flashing her a smile.
Later that day
Ryan and Graham had bolted off for some family time together leaving the Doctor aboard the Tardis with every catalogue she had open on the console floor. But nothing was screaming out to her for Yaz’s gift, so she gave up and decided on a market instead. First an 18th century German market where aside from an excellent draft beer she also found a beautiful brooch. But soon the Doctor began to feel restless, it wasn’t the perfect gift, she wanted Yaz to be over the moon when she saw it.
Between a 28th century telepathic journal that would record itself and a leather jacket from the 53rd century that was both bulletproof and water proof the Doctor sighed, chewing in her lip as she landed back in Sheffield. When she heard a key in the door she nearly jumped out of her skin as Yaz walked through whistling.
“Heya, my shift finished early, look what the guys at work got me!” Yaz said cheerful,y brandishing a new pair of sunglasses. “Matt said I should look the part since I’m always off doing undercover work.” Yaz chuckles, looking up to see the Doctor spread out over the console clearly trying to hide something.
“They look fab.” The Doctor breathes, attempting to fan her coat out over the presents. Yaz arches an eyebrow, approaching the Console, leaning in for a kiss, distracting the Doctor easily as she lifted the edge of her coat up.
“Presents! You didn’t have too Doctor!” Yaz cheered as the Doctor hastily tries to cover them back up with her coat.
“No no, I don’t think they’re any good, Ryan and Graham’s are great, I feel bad.” The Doctor sighed, pouting hard as Yaz smiles sweetly, kissing her cheek once more.
“You know what the best present is.” Yaz starts, watching as the Doctor’s eyes light up and she focuses intently. Yaz takes the red bow off her sunglasses and presses it onto the Doctor’s lapel grinning.
“You.” Yaz whispers sweetly, watching as the Doctor rolls her eyes, kicking her legs petulantly.
“Yes well you have me Yaz I can’t regift myself can I.” The Doctor tuts, jumping off the console to reveal the presents. “I hope you find some of them useful at least.”
Yaz leans in, cuddling into her embrace murmuring a thank you as the Doctor grins, a second later they hear the telltale shutter of a Polaroid camera as a grinning Ryan behind it.
“Caught you guys in your natural habitat, being smushy.” Ryan jokes, airing out the developed photo as he hands over the camera to Yaz with a quick happy birthday.

Do you miss it?
Based on a prompt by @nb-demon in which Jim is “fixed” via a stone that allows him to shift forms like a changeling....except uh probably not exactly what you had in mind because hoo boy do I stand by the idea that troll!Jim does not need to be “fixed” whoop ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ao3 link
--
Jim turned the smooth stone over in his hand. It shimmered lightly in a way not unlike the sheen of the blue stone in his amulet. The amulet that had changed his life forever when it called out his name nearly forty years ago.
“I’ve been…researching transformation magic,” Douxie the wizard had told him when he presented the stone. “Because of the way Merlin’s potion worked, it can never be truly reversed…but this should allow you to take a human appearance at your leisure. Like a changeling without the need for a familiar. In case…in case you miss it.”
“O-oh,” Jim had stammered as he accepted the gift, pocketing it gently. Whatever he had been expecting, it wasn’t this. “T…thanks. That’s…really thoughtful of you.”
Douxie nodded. “I thought it was only fair. It took a long time to develop, but…I figured you should have the chance to choose the form in which you live without the threat of evil breathing down you neck. Let me know if you have any problems.”
And with that he simply left, off to take care of whatever business wizards do. Jim, too, had duties to tend to, and for the next few hours left the stone in the back of his pocket and mind.
That had been this morning. Now Jim was sitting alone in his home, perched on the lip of his bathtub as he carefully examined the magical stone.
Did he miss being human? He wasn’t sure. Sure, there were days—the particularly tough days that trollhunting lent itself to—when he yearned for the nostalgic days of his human childhood, racing bikes with Toby and eating dinner with his mom. But those days were so far behind him. So much had changed. He had changed—and not just in the obvious ‘I’m partially a different species’ way. He’d grown up, made new memories and experiences.
Jim glanced up into the mirror across the floor, studying his face. His features were a bit more mature—jaw stronger, shoulders broader, scruff thicker—but despite fast-approaching his 53rd birthday, he looked remarkably similar to how he had the day he defeated Gunmar. He supposed his troll half was responsible for that. Trolls, after all, generally lived for many centuries. He hadn’t asked many ages, but he knew that Blinky, at least, was over 600. Whether he would make it as long as a full-fledged troll, only time would tell—but it certainly seemed he’d outlive most humans.
Claire, too, no longer looked her age. When she began officially training in sorcery she had gained a wizard’s longevity. Though she certainly appeared more mature than the teenager she’d been when she first began to dabble in the magical world, no one would guess just by looking at her that she was really in her early 50s. In fact, when they were alone together, a part of Jim almost genuinely forgot their true ages.
Of the original trio, only Toby showed the true passage of time. He’d kept remarkably upbeat and positive as his ginger-brown hair grayed and his face wrinkled, but while their friendship remained true, Jim knew that this gap would continue to widen until one day it would reach a length he could not cross.
Jim’s brows furrowed. His heart ached to think of loosing his lifelong best friend to human age when he, as a half-troll, still had so much life left to live.
He glanced back down at the smooth stone in his hands. Did he miss being human?
Had he been presented with this opportunity before, he would have leaped at it. He had made the choice to go half-troll—with the imminent threat of Gunmar and Morgana, it had felt necessary. And, indeed, the improved strength, speed, and stamina he gained from it certainly helped win the battle.
But once the battle had been won? Well, there had been a lot to get used to. After a lifetime of barely even noticing whether or not the sun was out, suddenly needing to avoid it was a jarring adjustment. His entire palate and nutritional needs changed and his body both felt and looked so strange, so foreign. With the need for trollish strength and speed over, it would have been so much easier, so much more comfortable and familiar to revert to a human form, had it been possible.
But…
It had actually been years since Jim had to worry about the sun. As the Trollhunter he had access to a variety of stones he could add to his amulet to grant special abilities, including one that immunized him to the trollish sunlight weakness. It was still wise to be careful, and limit his time in the sun if and when possible, but nonetheless the workaround had been effective.
While he was no longer found enjoyment in some of his old favorite foods, he’s found new favorites. It had taken a fair while of experimenting to find the balance of his new palate, and now he couldn’t imagine not being able to eat his spiced metal-mouse stew that had taken Trollmarket by storm.
And his body…well, it had taken adjustments, but after a while he had come to accept it as it was. Claire had helped a lot with that.
Claire. Her love for him had not wavered for an instant, no matter what he looked like. In fact, he recalled her bashfully admitting not long after beginning their exodus to New Jersey, she rather liked his new appearance. Yes, she’d insisted, even the horns and the teeth and the blue skin.
This year would be their 35th wedding anniversary.
They’d even had children together, all four of whom had now grown and left the nest, but still visited frequently. They had been fully bracing themselves for the thought that this would not be possible—would a half-troll still be able to have a baby with a human, or would he be like a mule, unable to breed?
Finding out Claire was pregnant for the first time was one of the most exciting moments of his life…though even that could not compare to the day their daughter was born nine months later, looking surprisingly normal save for unusual pinkish coloration that never quite went away and the two tiny bumps on her little head that would later grow into stubby horns.
Jim turned the stone over in his hands again and again. His life had turned out pretty well, all things considered. Would it have been better if he were human?
This should allow you to take a human appearance at your leisure, Douxie had said. Like a changeling without the need for a familiar.
Like a changeling…so nothing permanent. He’d be able to switch back if he changed his mind. So what could be the harm in…trying?
Jim closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he focused on the magic in the stone. He felt himself shifting…
…and opened his eyes to see an older, startlingly human man staring back at him in the mirror.
Jim examined the appearance in shock. He hadn’t seen himself as a human since he was sixteen years old. Of course this form would look different now. Even still, seeing it for real…
He was about half a foot shorter than he’d been before, his dark hair grayed. He’d lost his scruff but kept his sideburns, as well a shadow of hair around his mouth and chin that suggested he ought to shave (unless he wanted to start growing the beard). His skin, though wrinkled, was soft and decidedly not blue.
He was surprised how strange and fragile he felt in this body. In fact, it almost felt as strange as that day he’d woken up on his mother’s couch as a half-troll for the first time…
With a start, Jim suddenly realized that at this point in his life, he’d spent more time as a half-troll than he had as a human. Being half-troll was more normal to him than being human.
“Jim!” a familiar call came from the front door as Claire walked into the underground house. “Are you home? Laura’s here to visit!”
Jim grinned, shaking his head lightly as he reached out to the magic in the stone, re-assuming his half-troll appearance.
“In here, I’ll be out in a minute,” he called back, leaving the stone on the sink as he left to greet his wife and youngest daughter.
No, his life had not been perfect. He’d gone through more than his share of hardships, both before and after finding the amulet, before and after turning half-troll. But it wasn’t without the happy times, either. Throughout all his challenges, he’d been surrounded by friends and family, love and support. Each obstacle he’d faced and overcome helped shape him into who he was today.
Despite the hardships, in the end, he was happy. His life didn’t need fixing. It merely needed living.
And if he could go back, he would’t change a thing.

Year 1674 - Part 1
TW/CW: Child Death
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The start of the year was largely uneventful until Sarah went into labor and delivered a healthy son on January 22nd who was named Clement, much to his parent's relief.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just a few days shy of her 26th birthday on February 10th, Orelia delivered her daughter who she named Orsetta after her late twin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in Tartosa things were going well for the Morosini triplets as they outgrew infancy and became delightful little children. Baldissere was a charming child who loved being social when he and his family would stroll through town while Bastiano tried to be independent though there was little he could do much to his displeasure since he was still a small child. Borthola preferred to stay by her parents side as she was a rather shy child now that she her intense moods had softened.
Tumblr media
Clement grew fast definitely taking quite a bit after his father though it was still unclear if that was just for his infancy.
Tumblr media
Orsetta also grew into a sweet girl and it was such a relief for Orelia that her daughter was growing better than Pasqueta had.
Tumblr media
Still, with the little one's health doing well, Orelia was starting to feel stifled in Henford as she contemplated what would come next in her life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On his parent's recommendation, Alessandro decided to remarry and given the close ties his late wife's family had with the Taroni family he decided that he would marry Gabriella's ward and niece, Shayna. Shayna knew that an offer to marry a wealthy merchant like Alessandro would not come around for her often being that she was an illegitimate child which was reason enough to take up the marriage offer but also, raising her status from illegitimate to a merchant's wife would also be beneficial for her younger sister so by early June the two were wed. That said Alba and Marina weren't too interested in what the adults were doing and spent most of their time together chatting about far more important things like toys and games.
Tumblr media
Later that June on the 17th, Salvador Ludovici was born a healthy child.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Morosini children started to drift apart as they grew older, for whatever reason toddlerhood made it so that Bastiano and Borthola could hardly get along with each other becoming more difficult to manage by the day but at least both of them were on wonderful terms with their older triplet brother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the little ones old enough to cause mischief, it was hard for Giovanni Cesare to get much attention but Giulia did her best to make time for her young son especially as his thirteenth birthday approached. She couldn't believe how fast time was flying by when she was reminded that her brother had turned thirty-five that July.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, while the Morosini couple had hoped to avoid another child so soon, by September Ashley was quite certain that there would be a new addition to the family soon. Ashley did admit that she was nervous about having four young children so close together especially as her younger two currently did not get along but Giulia did her best to comfort her that they would manage it.
Tumblr media
Sadly with no warning on October 7th, Baldissere went down for his nap and simply never awakened.
Tumblr media
Ashley took the loss hard as she felt that her complaining about having four young children had triggered the Watcher's wrath and took her oldest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Giovanni Cesare and Giulia decided to focus their grief into Giovanni Cesare's lessons and he was happy to distract his niece and nephew so that his brother and sister-in-law could grieve with the knowledge he gained. While Giulia's 53rd birthday was a milestone that November, she made no fuss about it given the loss of her grandson and sadly news came in that Antonio's oldest daughter, Tess, passed away from a snow storm on November 27th.

I really needed to clear my mind. I woke up super early from pain so sat outside and watched the sunrise. I decided even though I cannot go for an actual hike or long walk (damn pinched nerve) I could go to one of my favorite places and walk to the bench. I love how this tiny little walk gives so much beauty. I took a PB&J and sat and just enjoyed. As I was going back to my car I spied a deer looking at me❤️
I am learning to listen to my body to not get caught up in what I used to do. A tiny gentle walk is beneficial in clearing my mind, loosening up my muscles that hurt so bad I can barely move. While it makes other areas hurt a bit more it is needed.
My body is at this crossroad, an odd difficult balancing act that is constantly changing. What helps one area hurts another. What is the norm to try to heal one area is actually NOT good for another. It is not as simple as just stretching or walking or exercises.
I love my doctors as they have not given up on me, they listen, suggest, scratch their heads in confusion and look up ways to help me. They let me cry in frustration and pain. They do not minimize or make my issue seem minimal.
I learned a lot from the first 11 months and although I lost 120 pounds and cured my diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a host of other issues, I also lost sight of why I was doing it. It was never about massive weight loss but rather about taking back my life. Losing weight was part of it but mostly I just wanted to eliminate the amount of meds and to lose the emotional baggage that I have carried for 35 plus years.
I quickly lost sight of that and became obsessed with losing the weight, how many miles a day I could hike and how fast I could do it in and the next day repeating it and trying to beat what I did the day before. I was talking to my friend about it and she said she and others worried about my obsession. It was unhealthy. I can remember getting to my car and being in so much pain I could barely get in it and then once I would get home I would eat and go for another one. I weighed myself several times a day. Addictive personalities can be so hard to keep in check and mine was out of control. Those walks also helped clear my mind but so does a smaller one. I was not seeing things around me only my fitbit and how many miles and how fast. I have learned to slow down and man there is so much beauty to be seen if you just slow down.
So here I am 80 pounds heavier, more pain than I have ever been in, depressed for so many reasons, many I cannot talk about, frustrated beyond measure and yet… I have so much hope. Tuesday is my 53rd birthday and I am nowhere near where I had envisioned I would be 3 years ago when I started this. This year for my birthday I am gifting myself permission to listen to ME, to use the wisdom I have gained over the last 3 years. To not feel bad about doing it my way. I know what works for me and what will not. Permission to cry, scream, be lazy, be busy, jump for joy…ok that hurts my back but whatevs!!!
I cannot travel much as driving and sitting are brutal pain wise so I have filled my summer with so many dog sitting and house sitting jobs it is crazy. It fills me with joy and fills in some of the emptiness of not having some people in my life. For the first time I went on a trip by myself. It was blissful and amazing and empowering. It was a short drive and the days were spent wandering the beach and trails.
I don’t want to be known as Theresa the rape victim, yes it is a part of me but I have let it be all of me. I feel like I am disrespecting survivors by letting go and I know that does not make sense but it is one of the most difficult things to not feel guilty about letting go of, it feels like pretending it did not happen. I do not want to be Theresa who complains endlessly of her back pain but reality is that is me… maybe I can help someone else or they can help me. I want to be Theresa the lady who moved on, who although she is not pretending those things did not happen, she let it go and finds happy again. I want to be Theresa who does not feel guilty about every little thing she says or does.
Me I really needed to clear my mind. I woke up super early from pain so sat outside and watched the sunrise.
