the first drawing was made with the intention of making gwizdo suffer because i LOVE to see my favorite characters suffer but then i started to feel bad for him. sorry if his nose is too small 馃槰馃槰 i'm still learning how to draw him
Remember when Cartoon Network had a show about glorified exterminators? Dragon Hunters is one of my favorite series and I just rewatched the movie so here鈥檚 some sketches I did for fun
Going to write the reboot I swear, and then find someone crazy enough to fund it
gwizdo from dragon hunters is such a relatable character bc i too didn't choose to be small and poor and ugly and mean but here i am
and i also would scam rich people bc eat the rich they are not frequentable people and i also would adopt a kid and live in a farm with sheeps and my friend with whom i have a weirdly homoerotic relationship
I got sucked into Danny Phantom again lately thanks to some angsty fics and also randomly felt like drawing my favorite character from Dragon Hunters again, so here they are
I'm really happy with how they turned out, considering I've struggled with drawing either of them in the past
I'm rewatching Dragon Hunters and I'll never get over the fact that Lian-chu can't read but HECTOR can
like how did that happen? Obviously on Lian-chu's part he either just didn't care enough to bother, since it's not THAT important in this universe, or he just likes Gwizdo reading to him or something similar
but like
why DOES Hector know???
Did GWIZDO teach him? Did he teach himself? Did he just hang around Gwizdo and his contracts that he picked it up???
The fact that Hector can read is just the funniest thing(which is probably the point, to be fair)
So my sister and I were talking about what Dragon Hunters might look like if it were modernized/updated to fit today鈥檚 animation standard before Christmas aaaand for fun, I did some rough sketches of the main four! Which kinda blossomed into me doing designs for *all* the recurring characters.
I don鈥檛 typically redesign things 馃槀 I just learn the style and mimick it the best I can so this was definitely outside my comfort zone AND super fun. I want to try some new things this year, I hope you all enjoy!
