Utkarsh will go down in history as one of the Guests of All Time. Money moves only. Tells his life story off a notes app and then commences PVP and is almost instantly downed. Prompts a players regression into darkness. Has a shitload of magical items that he apparently never used. Asked Marisha for help when trying to kill them. The first PVP death.
She respects consent. Not just physically. But emotional consent too. She might make the most adorable blurbo every, one specifically aimed at romancing a character, but if the player isn’t into it she gives them plenty of room to back out. (based on C2 and C3, I haven’t seen C1)
Winning isn’t kissing the other player and having them accept it. Winning is having them kiss your character and mean it.

Side note, I gotta acknowledge how cute Laura’s “I know, I’m sorry!” response to Marisha’s “I made a dead lady who was unromanceable!” statement
it means that their session zero involved Laura sitting there as Marisha described their friendship and closeness and was thinking the whole time “I’m gonna make a Sapphic that is going to Pine So Hard”
And honestly I think she, as a player, would have been delighted to play the heartbreak of being rejected. To take that leap and fall flat? BAFTA award winning actress Laura Bailey not making something amazing out of that? No fuckin way.
what if when (if?) the bells hells and the crown keepers reunite aabria gets to DM at least the first half of that and for the first time in almost 10 years matt gets to be a player in a main campaign and gets to interact with his friends as a player WHAT THEN
prism telling laudna that her greatest strength was continuing to trust despite all of the pain and casting enlarge on orym because that’s how she sees him.
the Federation is scared of q!Bad omg?? telling all the employees to avoid him, “make no sudden moves,” calm the situation, and RUN if all else fails. that’s crazy??? it’s like they’re treating him as a dangerous creature that’ll snap on them (which to be fair. he kinda is) but the Federation are the ones in power here. yet they are afraid of an islander… ooohhhh.
Thank you for everyone at Critical Role for making me excited and hopeful to age.
I have always been a little weird nerd and the thought of having to grow up to be just a woman with a boring job and children, who has to be put together and honestly boring to function in society has always filled me with dread.
But these 30 to 50 year olds are having insane amounts of fun. They have beautifully creative minds and didn't let the world shove them into little boxes so they could be handled easily by everyone around them.
I am excited to age, not in the way society expects me to, but in the way I saw a group of Voice Actors and their friends age. Chaotically, creatively and beautifully.
Thank you for everything, but especially for the stories you tell. Not just fictional ones, but real ones aswell.
Sam “I don’t know how to play D&D” Riegel, I swear to god.
See, I made it all the way to “he’s MY boy,” and later Nott disguising herself as a very specifically described Halfling woman and knocking on a certain door before I realized the incredible mind he has. I fully thought up until those points that he just had a twisted sense of humor, and only wanted to be the comic relief. I had skipped campaign 1 because it was too hard to get through the technical difficulties in the first few episodes. I have since remedied that, and witnessed all of That.
And now we have this new tragedy. We all thought FCG was Pinnochio, but he was The Velveteen Rabbit. He became Real as he transcended the life he’d known, to protect the ones he loved most. Who had made him Real with their love for him.
No new episode of critical role next week BUT the following week should be a new 4 sided dive and i think if Laura and Marisha aren’t both on it together Dani Carr might start eating the furniture so we should have that to look forward to soon
