Things you can do for fanfic writers that cost no money:
1. Reblog their work
I seriously cannot stress this enough… REBLOG YOUR FAVOURITE FICS!
It’s so disheartening putting so much time and effort into writing for it to barely get any reblogs when it’s getting a decent amount of likes. And sure, likes help me know that you like it, of course they do, but they do nothing to help share the piece with others who might also enjoy it too.
So all I’m asking (and other fic writers would ask this of you too) is that if you enjoy something, please consider reblogging it
This doesn’t apply to nsfw pieces as I understand some people don’t like to share that sort of stuff, but if it’s sfw, please take a second to reblog, it’s such a big help and it’s greatly appreciated🧡
I think growing up is a lie
I don't think anyone actually becomes an adult
I refuse to believe there's a magical age, a magical stage, in life where people suddenly know what to do
Where they aren't afraid
No longer in need of a kind voice, a gentle hug
To be given a guiding hand, to be told "it's alright"
You can learn, improve, gain better rationality
(there's no monsters under the bed)
But no one "grows up", do they?
We're told to "grow up" over the simple things, like interests
(toys? at your age?)
Yet no one bats an eye when someone handles tough situations level-headedly
As that's expected of us
Even children need to be like the "big kids" for praise.
Good, like a "grown up"
Kids need taught how to walk and talk.
So needing to learn communication, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation's a simple no-brainer, right?
Then why are adults the ones who bring pain? The ones who fail at words and compromise?
Never growing where it counts
Why do those who never could, lecture those to do so?
It's a scam
A filthy sham
No one "grows up"
As the meaning's been spoiled
We grow within.
And no age, no word we assign, will ever make those who haven't, an "adult"
I really love the last episode of the 6th season, "Robert Diaz".
There are just so many great things happening there, things that I love and would like to see more of (Liz devising and successfully putting into work a whole badass plan of how to get her friends out of the Post Office and the whole team – by which I mean both Cooper, Ressler, Aram and Liz and Red, Chuck and Morgan because they're on one team, even though they do not always see it – having a nice little family breakfast while discussing their plans for the day the details of their technically illegal but for-the-good-cause plan, to list off my absolute favorite things from this ep... not to mention the glorious return of Dembe, the Shoot-Out and Cynthia Panabaker, my love, helping Red and Cooper to meet with the First Lady)...
...but the last couple of scenes (namely, the one where Agnes comes home and doesn't recognize Red - because that's just unbelievable considering how big of a part he played in her life and that he spent with her at least as much time as Liz did - and the one with the blonde Kate, which was a huge mood damper for me just as much as for many other fans)?
