the sandhill cranes are back! I got to see some mating displays, which apparently involve tossing things in the air and hopping around (｡>ヮ< )

#my photography!#bird photography #birding #birds #sandhill crane #I went at sunset instead of dawn for the first time (with my camera) and it was so great #the light wasn't great for my old camera but all the people cleared out and it was so serene #and the frogs! gosh after the sun went down they immediately got louder #and their ribbiting echoed off the water and it was wonderful all around me #and when the sun was setting all the swallows got one last meal in #and once it was too dark for me to see for the most part I saw the bats ( ♡∇♡ )#I could hear them sort of fluttering around me #and I could hear geese flying around even though I couldn't see them #it was amazing I'm excited to go again

Not gonna say I have much going on but I definitely am cooking up something with the mystery au idea I thought of November last year.

So yea, Dead Air Transmission au, a small-town mystery au of the DCA where y/n is a new cop moving into the town of Glamour Rock.

Originally, I made it so that Sun and Moon were radio hosts of the place, but I later decided to have Sun be the only radio host of the two and Moon be a police officer. (so that one of them would be around y/n because of work and the other while y/n is off-duty or on their way to work)

I also changed it so that Sun and Moon are separate animatronics.

(sketch dump below)

Not gonna make a comic, but maybe art here and there. (If I'm brave enough, I might post the written prologue of it)

I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish the entire thing, but I definitely don't wanna keep it hidden in the machinations of my mind until I die.

If you guys have tips for writing a fanfic(or posting your first fanfic), please share them. That would be helpful. ;u;

Also @starriegalaxy's Fear Factor au basically gave me ideas to post this so check her fic out ^^

Okay. So, with that out of the way, why did I said in the poster that if your Ghost get too humanized you should seek help before your inevitable death?

I had 2 reasons but you might have your own interpretation:

If your Ghost becomes (or remembers that it was) "human", it will forget how to be a Ghost. Simply put, it forgets how to revive or even heal you. Not exactly a good news for a Guardian.

Above reason, but after realizing that it doesn't have arms or legs or even a body and is just a ball floating in the air, its mental health deteriorates. And...let's just say you wouldn't even know how you died.

Take care of your Ghosts and don't let them touch the guard frames.

All "proper" Dark Matter, as members of a collective, communicate using "we." They no longer possess the concept of "I" or any form of personal identity. Dark Matter Swordsman is...struggling to find the word to express the idea of "self" tugging at the back of his mind since encountering the girl in the forest, landing on "Eye."

Gooey, curiously, has none of these problems, using "I" as if born to it. Which is probably why the other Dark Matter despise and fear him.
