#self #fantasy costume #If I had the money for a custom tailored fantasy-ish victorian-ish suit instead of piecing together random thrift store items with like walm #rt halloween costume type jackets and stuff.. #unstoppable..... #I would actually lean more straight up historical with my wardrobe it's just that everything I own basically is thrifted aside from a very #small portion of things (like usually socks for example I get from ebay. wigs from ebay. things that it's hard to find in thrift stores. etc #) and I rarely ever find stuff like that at the bins. Your closest bet is like. hopeing that the week you come in just so happens to also be #a week that a church costume department recently donated a bunch of old stuff. but I just haven't really had much luck finding like fancy ve #sts and suit coats and cloaks or like tunics and etc. etc. #Styles like mori kei or cult party kei are pretty accessible and easy for places like the bins (where youre usually digging through piles of #curtains and fabric scraps and doilies anyway). but finding like.. a straight up tudor england costume or something is . VERY rare #Sometimes you do find halloween costumes. Or like. stuff that's clearly like cheap 'Goth' stuff from shein or aliexpress that someone has do #nated and they can be a LITTLE okay in terms of usable for costumes. But you rarely find actual good quality stuff. obviously because like #real very good quality historical costumes are expensive and most people aren't just like 'yeah dump it off to goodwill' lol #In an ideal world though I would have fancy top hats and neck ruffles and stuff .. know this ghhjbhj #Lack of that will not stop me from taking picturesin basically the same outfit 6000 times though. My one single silky black vest and #one of the two solitary ruffly neck shirts I have every been able to find. #Pointy-ish little boots that I put with everything even thogugh they look terrible up close because they're literally like over 10 yrs old #I bought them so long ago and the black fake leather lining is like peeling off of the outside #ANYWAY #he's back again... the same little generic like elf vampire ruffle shirt with vest look.. might as well be the same guy #I support him and his dumbass disintegrating shoes anyway

mmmmore fanfic of ur Healthcare au that is also soft sky stuff bc u needed something soft earlier today. I know it's probably going to happen differently when/if you ever write the part about Sky's recovery after the bleeding out thing but this was just me wanting to give u some warm fuzzies with ur boys (u can fully keep this as a private lil thing for urself if u want too)

Wind and Sky were shivering together; bundled up under the pile of scratchy medic blankets.

"It takes a bit to get used to holding your hands this way, but you've got a good start." 

Sky yawned and let his cheek rest on top of Wind's gull's nest of hair. The teen's fever warmed Sky's face, and if he were a bit more coherent and less woozy he'd be more concerned.

"And now I do that half-double-crocher whatever again?" Wind rasped.

Sky nodded and watched the boy's hands work the yarn back and forth. Undo a piece here and there to try again or to tighten up a loose spot.

Wars shook his head from the chair he sat a guardian's post from at the foot of the cot the two insisted on squishing into.

Sky yawned again, feeling a tug at his stitches. His eyes were too heavy to follow Wind's hands anymore beyond the fact they were also steadily slowing as exhaustion started to hit them both.

"Sky! Sky!" 

The pilot blinked awake. It took his head a moment to stop swimming and catch up with up with world. He stretched, carefully avoiding pulling too much at either stitches or IV.

"Hmm, wasit Wind?"

"Look-" Wind was interrupted by a short fot of coughing Sky patted his back through, "look! Wars finished the socks for you. You can wear them now!"

And so he did. Sky blinked at the misshapen, clashing striped pair of crocheted socks on his lap. He could see where the stitches changed from Wind's carefully guided, albeit inconsistent, stitches into War's slightly more practiced ones. Sky felt his heart swell with warmth and he carefully held them in trembling hands.

"I thought we were making these for you?"

"Nah, you need 'em more. You're cold all the time," Wind gave a cheeky smirk, "I only feel cold half the time, the other half I'm ready to lay on the tile floor."

He flopped back on top of the covers dramatically. Sky noticed for the first time Wind was down to his undershirt and pajama pants rolled up, with a cooling patch slapped on his forehead. He noticed War's was asleep in the chair at his side, rather than the foot of the bed, with his head knocked back and snoring softly in the dim light.

"Well," Sky yawned again, "I'll have to thank you two proper when we all can stay awake for more than twenty minutes at a time."

Wind snorted and messed up Sky's hair as the older man yanked on the freshly made socks before he snuggled down into the blankets with a shiver. Despite knowing he was cold, he still felt warm and fuzzy enough to sleep.

I found socks with my favorite flowers on them (nasturtiums!), but they literally don't match anything I own, so making an outfit with them is difficult.. just all black with the bright shoes and a random stuffed animal for accents lol

#like. this is entirly a conceot introduced to me by my roommate. my mother got maybe a single new dress or top a month #fashion and thus fast fashion makes no sense to me. i am going to buy a piece of clothing and then i am going to wear it until it is #physically indecent for me to wear in public and then i am going to mend the crotch (generally) and keep wearing it casually or as pajamas. #people who can afford to and do buy clothes more often than once or twice a year arem bizarre to me. #why. why do you need to do that. if you have clothes that fit and cover your body in a way that you are comfortable with. why... #okay okay actually i buy socks maybe 5 times a year because i LOSE THEM SO FAST ITS INSANE I FEEL DERANGED #any way. im watching a video abt fast fashion #any apparently people legitimately buy a dress to wear like. once. #insane to me. #and the only reason i buy clothes new is because shopping overwhlems me to such a degree if i try one more than like 2 pairs of clothes #i will have to leave the store with nothing. it is TOO MUCH sensory input. #so trying to buy second hand clothing is. as one may imagine as a fat man with one belt. pretty difficult. #its just so BIZARRE TO ME........... HUGE windows in my living room that let in so much light #but they also let in so. much. cold #i did not go to bed dressed for the cold. so sleeping wasnt ideal #when i got ready for work i did it all wrapped in a blanket like a child #and when i got home from trying to go to work i actually got dressed properly for cold #socks. fuzzy pajama pants. hoodie #you know its bad when im wearing socks. i hate socks. theyre sensory hell #but my friend gave me cute Christmas socks so now they're part of my apocalypse outfit #im supposed to drive to see my family today but theyre four hours away and the weather is probs worse there #and my van doesn't have traction control #idk if i want to risk it. i guess ill see if it clears up by this afternoon #wish me luck and good weather #it is so. fucking. cold here in my bed. im under two blankets. im suffering
