I’m considering starting my own tournament. Do you have any advice? How do you get so many people to take part in the tournament? What did you use to make the tournament bracket?

i honestly am just rawdogging this but if i had any advice it would be the choose recognizable characters and a category a lot of people understand. people will vote even if theyre not super passionate about the topic as long as they understand whats goin' on.

additionally, try to even out your matchups (dont pull a me and do a jeff vs. howl) so its fair, do stuff inbetween brackets to keep folks engaged (i do the badges and asks and commentary and stuffs), and make sure to add whatever relevant tags you can when first starting

for the bracket i just looked up "blank 32 team bracket" and found what i needed

I'm sorry you're feeling the same way I hope it didn't make you feel too bad!! Truthfully I think it's secretly a very human experience, but not many people might admit to it <3 it's interesting how despite how I know I sometimes succeed at social interactions I still often feel this way! Maybe it's something that will always be there; just know that what you feel on the inside is very often not how other people perceive you! It's a hard thing to internalise for sure; it's a challenge to accept that the people you're close with really do like you for who you truly are, including the times you might not feel like you belong.

It's ingrained in our dumbass human brains to feel like we should fit in at all times (something with us not getting kicked out of our prehistoric clans so that we're not alone and subjected to danger!) but in practice it's OK not to match with everyone... to not be a Proper Human all the time. When I'm outside and think "ah strangers think I'm weird rn 😀" I remind myself that I'll probably not see them again soon and they'll likely have forgotten about me after five minutes ahhaha and if not that's probably more their problem than mine!
