Day 6 of @rumicworldweek -Favourite scene or quote (from Maison Ikkoku): This scene from the chapter, 'Under the Sakura'!!

Words cannot describe how much I love this scene, I mean it's literally one of my favorite moments in the entirety of the rumic world. This scene where Godai talks to Soichiro about how he knows that he can't replace him in Kyoko's heart is just such a powerful moment, a moment where Godai proved to the readers that he does in fact deserve to marry Kyoko. It's crazy to see that this is the same Godai from the first couple volumes, the same Godai who vowed to be better than Soichiro and make Kyoko forget him entirely, not once thinking about Kyoko's side of things despite being desperately in love with her. I loved Godai even back then, but I could still tell that he didn't properly deserve Kyoko because he never thought about her feelings... until this chapter.

This chapter shows Godai accepting Soichiro as a part of Kyoko and that he can't ever make her forget him after seeing how much it hurt her. He was finally able to understand how she felt and that was when it felt like he finally deserved her. Honestly it's just so satisfying to see Godai grow like this, In my opinion, it was handled perfectly... 🌸

Here are some of my favorite pictures from these last couple of days in the EBC Trekking!

I honestly don’t even know what to write anymore. I’ve been on this trek for 9 days now and I wake up every morning cold, nauseous, and with a headache caused by the altitude but every morning I also wake up so incredibly happy and I can’t wait to start the next adventure.

This is one of the most magical experience I’ve ever had the privilege to take part of and I never want it to end.

A lot of people have asked me what the training for this trek has looked like and how I have prepared myself physically for this trek and the honest answer is that I haven’t, at all haha. I’m probably in the “worst” shape of my life at this moment and I’ve climbed mountains higher than I’ve ever done before. I’ve pushed myself beyond what I thought was possible for me and I’ve done it all to prove to myself that what I have been taught to consider as “strong” or “fit” isn’t it.

I’ve spent all of last year unlearning toxic thought patterns about how I view my body and the way I view myself and I’ve committed to being less critical, more kind and having patience with myself.

Strong comes in different shapes and sizes and I’m happy to reshape the mold, one mountain at a time 🤍
