(Took me long enough to post something for the new year).
Almost done watching Ah! My Goddess, but not without drawing crossovers. Obviously, Skuld!Keroberos is just everything I need right now in a crossover. Urd!Gomechan, on the other hand, was an afterthought.*
*Urd's seiyuu, Yumi Touma, originally voiced Gomechan in the 1991 anime adaptation of Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken.
Believe me, if I went any further with Gomechan, I'd end up with an army of school idol Gomechan variations (I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO DRAW 30+ SCHOOL IDOLS FFS).

I am super behind in my prep for CONvergence so here’s hoping I can get all my printing done this weekend like the terrible procrastinator I am.

Finished Ah! My Goddess!
What a wild ride of a show. You can call it a harem anime if you like, but it's definitely got more of a Wacky Roommates Sitcom vibe imo. A happy-go-luckless dude who likes rebuilding motorcycles accidentally calls up heaven one day (as you do) and casually sweet talks a goddess into contractually staying with him on earth forever, then slowly but surely all her goddess friends (and enemies!) start popping by to add to the chaos. It's not a plot heavy show, it's just a series of ordinary misadventures with a slight supernatural/divine bent.
And that's exactly what it needs to be! What makes it fun is the fact that the stakes are ultimately low (ish), but treated as if they are life and death. For a college student on the brink of financial ruin, even the slightest upset might as well be the end of the world, right? Simple, fun, and light-hearted!
I know there are some spin-offs, movies, and other media related to this series, but I think I'm good stopping here with season 2 of the 2005 anime. Sometimes you don't need to dive whole hog into an entire franchise to enjoy it, y'know?
Anyway, that's one more for the To-Watch List done and dusted! Now to finish up some other loose ends...
