it's such a minor detail but it shows how much roche cares for her and wants to keep her safe at all costs, because ves isn't just a soldier to him, she's his only family...his little sister/daughter that he loves so much.

I think that Geralt is someone that Roche feels a particular sort of kinship with. While it's true that most of the time they work together it's not personal as much as it is having roughly aligning goals, Roche does seem to at least enjoy Geralt's company. Regardless, the relationship is mostly transactional and tends towards being professional.

But I think that there's something in Geralt which Roche is able to identify very strongly with. Childhood abandonment, difficult upbringings, adopting and nurturing young girls in violence bc it's the only way they know how (Geralt with Ciri and in the books, Angoulême, and Roche with Ves and Anaïs.) In the case of Ciri and Anaïs in particular there are quite a few more parallels (last heir to a dying throne, valued for the ability to legitimize a claim to a throne more than who they are) which I think Geralt and Roche would both be at least passively aware of.

Geralt is one of the few people Roche will just drop everything for. He's a friend, and we know Roche views people he's close with strongly. Foltest was a father figure, Ves and the Blue Stripes are his family, etc. I have no doubts Geralt is in there too, in some complicated category which Roche won't ever name.

Like...I see one dude doing "cinematic" stuff, and like, bro. This is a tool you could very easily use to make essentially Power Star tier stuff on the fly.

Make some unbalanced characters and go balls to the walls man, people going "unbalanced and not fun to fight" in the comments on cool looking shit, like on god, On God, you play this? Unironically? When you can be Creating? ...Oookay...

I've been experimenting with characters, and how to make shit cinematic and not just a mess of slaps you can barely make out, it's hard, but you absolutely could do it, especially if characters were being made specifically FOR such a concept. Because of the way the game works, you can basically animate on 2s and 3s. Not actually but, you'll kinda see a "gaming" format of such a concept that does work, better on like...6s and 9s honestly.

Some more editing tools, better UI please dear god it's so bad, a better camera, being able to adjust it's position for replays and make replays essentially little editing project files you can adjust and play on the fly, and send to other people to play on their own computer (You're seeing the potential right?), possibly even just slowing down shit at times, would exponentially make this a format people would devote alot of time too. Straight up I don't even see a point in anything but making replays, so, expand upon that, there's a real marketable part here that's actually good for people with the modding community, someone, anyone, how is not one other soul than me and some dude on YT seeing the potential man.

I guess if you were to argue against it, it'd be "cheap" compared to the sprite fight animations of today and yesterday, but I don't care. Throw some Sonic Sprites and OCs n shit in there, have them slap each other, pause for dialogue occasionally, and literally just make something that looks flashy and cool.

Idunno it's just bizarre, one of the few, possibly only times I can really say "Nah man, you're playing this game the right way, and you should be the wrong way"

That's not to say "abandon everything for my idea" just, it's pretty, pretty damn close dude, it's almost perfect in so many ways. Just expand on some creative tools and I assure you this game will absolutely blow the fuck up with everyone.

You cannot look me, in the Fucking, the God Damn Eyes, and tell me, that a majority of people, would not want to make Power Star tier fights On the God Damn Fly.

And it's right there. It's just...not being...fucking expanded on! How?!?!? How do people play this unironically?!?!? Everyone should've gone "Hold up, you made, you made a game, out of this, you made an On The Fly, Sprite Fight Animation Tool, and made it a Fucking Game???"

sometimes i’ll just be minding my own business running roulettes for gil in the most inefficient manner possible and out of fucking nowhere the game will remind me that drk’s aoe and ranged attacks are spells, not skills

and this isn’t so much a complaint so much as a ‘god this class is a janky pos i love it and i hope it never changes’ like. every other tank? their aoes and ranged attacks are skills, which means they benefit from sks gear and melds, and won’t be abruptly ripped away from the tank if they get silenced by someone else fucking up a mech

(pacifism is a problematic debuff all its own but i never see it outside of like potd) (to be honest i kind of wish they’d add it to fuckups in savage, it might actually be a harsher punishment than the dreaded dmg down, but this is by the by)

but unleash/stalwart/unmend being spells means that they are not affected by sks, which is bitterly ironic since drk was the only tank regularly melding for high sks until the blood weapon changes. but! to add insult to injury! drk is not considered a caster. sps does about as much for it as piety, eg, fcuking nothing.

but the upshot of all this is that unleash/stalwart/unmend have a fixed gcd of 2.5, which unless you go out of your way to avoid sks gear is going to be different to your single target combo.

(for some reason, salted is an ‘ability’, not a skill or a spell, so it would benefit from neither. same for shadowbringer and flood/edge. it doesn’t make any difference afaik to their benefitting from buffs, as they are all magic damage, despite not being considered spells mechanically)

and like. again. it fits. lore wise, drk is the magic tank. it makes sense on a thematic level.

also like. my other ‘main’ class is rdm, which. you know. melee caster. i like classes which are awkward pains in the ass. neither one thing nor t’other but something difficult in between.

Prisons should be abolished, violence against oppressors is good, people need to get the fuck offline and actually talk to another human being, refugees have a fucking right to asylum it's literally in the human rights amendment and even if it wasn't people should still be allowed to flee warzones or political upheavals to seek safety in other countries, media in all forms doesn't exist in a vacuum and does affect preconceived stereotypes or notions on minority groups be it racial, neurodivergent, disabled, LGBT+ and so forth, every government is fucking evil, climate change is real and killing us especially people in countries white people colonised and exploited and give back like 2% of the resources stolen and call it fucking charity, i would absolutely go on but i am drunk and pissed off and will probably delete this later but god damn is there so much that needs to change it's exhausting.
