In the last 2 years I did few cosplays and this is 2 of my best ones. I did Gideon Graves from Scott Pilgrim and Max Fischer from Rushmore. Speaking of Max Fischer that jacket was bought the night before cosplay so cosplay was on Saturday me and my mom got it Friday night. Also to not that red in my Gideon cosplay is actually worn by Jason from Fargo season 4 I won in the auction online

The real tragedy that Torchwood Soho is only audio and not filmed is that it's harder to make an edit of Norton to Taylor Swift's Anti-Hero...

Because I'm sorry but that song IS Norton.

Not that I need to defend my point but I will:

So first off, every Norton plotline is essentially him never actually learning the full lesson from the last and I support him for that. Plus how old is he?? His timeline is so fucked up now that he could possibly be older than Jack /HJ Then for the graveyard shift it would so cool to see him working alone/sitting at his desk intertwined with him shagging Adam on some rando's grave. And yeah, homeboy has more than enough "ghosts" to really fill up the space here

As threatened, before I let myself go nuts wallowing in cosplay and art, I muft acknowledge the gifts I was given when Gideon the Ninth did not even have a publication date. My three first readers gave me an FST, and the first FST I got was from paraTactician, to whom sharp-eyed readers following along from fandom may have noticed the book was dedicated to.

TBH... This tattoo means so much to me. To see someone shamelessly rip off the idea that I thought over for so long, is EXTREMELY hurtful.

I got this tattoo back in July of 2015, the month I moved out of the apartment with my mentally and physically abusive ex of five years. SPvstW is one of my favorite comics, and the character Ramona resonated with me so much. I happened to re-read the series that summer as I battled my inner demons while I tried to find the strength to leave the man who tried to kill me, but whom I had relied upon for so many years. My friends had ostracized me, my family had stepped away from me, he was the only person I had, and he had done that on purpose. He had separated me from those that loved me, so I would solely be dependent on him.

I was stuck.

I never wanted to get stuck.

It took me four years to realize that. And another year to work up the courage to leave.

A year after my best friend called the police when I told her I didn't feel safe. A year after two police officers saw the bruises on my neck and pushed their way inside of our apartment to take you, the man I thought loved me, and put you into the back of a police cruiser. A year after I had to sit across a courtroom and watch you from behind bullet proof glass in handcuffs mouthing the words 'I'm sorry. I love you'. A year after a secret dinner behind my favorite Chinese restaurant in the grass even though there was a mandatory restraining order in place, where you told me you wanted to try and work things out and were willing to see a therapist about it (yet another lie to get me to stay). A year after your sister, with tears in her eyes outside the courthouse, begged me not to have you arrested. A year after I didn't.

After five years of self harm after each time you cheated, of eating disorders to make myself attractive enough to be worthy of your love, of emotional roller coasters where I would change my hair every time I was too upset to face the truth, of gaslighting, of isolation and dependency, I chose to stop changing for you, and start changing for myself.

I chose this quote, and the image with it, to represent this permanent change for myself. After rereading SPvstW, I realized that you were not just Gideon Graves (our first cosplay together-- Gideon and Ramona, ironic), but also Scott. To honor the original (supposed) ending of SPvstW, where O'Malley had Ramona walk through the subspace portal by herself and leave that shitty asshole Scott. I didn't abide by the love interest of the movie. I made my own path, chose my own future.

And I left.

I changed first.

"Dude... Things never were the same. Change is... It's what we get. I guess that's my problem - I'm always trying to beat the clock; outrun the universe... Like nothing can change me, as long as I change first. I feel like I'm in this river, just getting swept along... And if I hold on to anyone, if I'm holding on for dear life, I'm not getting anywhere. I'm stuck... I never wanted to get stuck."
