so the basic thought that sparked my latest AU is the fact that Grian was in favor of changing the mycelium to grass until he decided "actually fuck that" and started the resistance

we all know this is because Grian is "Stick It To The Man" personified but it got me thinking

what if getting rid of the mycelium pissed off the local fae (it's the destruction of a natural habitat after all, and it's not for nothing that the fae are often associated with mushrooms)

and the fae decide to exact revenge by possessing/influencing Grian to fight against the terraforming of the shopping district (hence his change of heart regarding the mycelium) and leading to the emergence of Mother Spore

anyway that's pretty much the basis of the AU and it's been inhabiting my brain for the past several days

vent/rant post once again using this blog because the person im talking about follows my main but

in the chat me and all my irl friends are in one person (cis) was talking about how she was obsessed with the wizarding world and a couple others (trans) shared how they were kind of iffy on it and hated jk rowling for obvious reasons

then this girl goes on to say that she still respects the bitch because her stories were good and that it’s not the fans’ responsibility what she does with her money, it’s hers, and that it’s not her place to judge what rowling says or does . and like . what the fuck is wrong with you

like im sorry if you like the stories but you can’t fucking defend her like this when she wants to kill our friends.

what makes it worse is that very recently this friend did a Very Shitty Thing by faking being hacked and telling us all to kill ourselves . which most of us seemed unaffected by if not for the fact that she said some brutally transphobic shit to a non-binary friend . she admitted what she’d done the next day and said she deeply regretted it and when confronted about the transphobia she said because that friend was actively talking back to them unlike the rest of us she didn’t know what to say and the friend affected seemed to let it go . but like . that has always seemed iffy to me you don’t just say that shit (especially when you think you’re safe because you’re hiding behind a different persona)

and then a couple days later she vents to me about how she felt so so guilty about the whole thing . and now this .

i have known this girl since daycare. yet ever since we’ve become friends i have disagreed with her opinions and gotten irritated because of her beliefs and things she said more than anyone else ive ever met. ive thought in depth of if i ever had the courage to stand up to her and not being friends with her and .

i don’t think i can in good conscience be friends with her anymore. im not putting effort in anymore unless she actively shows she has changed . fuck this
