“mi corazón es tuyo” (means “my heart is yours” it’s jus extremely cheesy it makes me giggle)

“todo es para ti” (means “everything (i) do is for you” makes me giggle 2)

“me vuelves loco mi amor” (so silly “you drive me crazy” like awe shucks.)

“cuanto te quiero”/“te amo con todo mi corazón” (1. “how much i love you” 2. “i love you with all my heart”. there’s a diff between “quiero” and “amo” btw. generally depends on the context and WHO the person is speaking to.)

“eres mi sol, mi luna y las estrellas. eres mi cielo” (so cute. means “you’re my sun, my moon and all the stars. you’re the entire sky to me.” ok but fr? “mi cielo” is hard to translate.)

“deme que eres mía/mío” (cheesy and possessive !! “tell me you’re mine.”)

This was the best episode of a TV show I’ve ever seen

Oh my goodness where do I even begin. The entire two hours I felt every emotion possible. I had a feeling someone was going to die, but I wasn’t expecting Gabriel. I actually cried when it happened. Rafael’s acting when Carlos was grieving was so touching that I felt it in my soul. Everyone did such a great job in this episode and I actually enjoyed watching Owen Strand today. Someone get Rafael Silva an award he is doing such a spectacular job! His anger and frustration felt so real. I connect to his character even more than I already did. I literally have no negative things to say about this show. They really brought it all together in the end of the season. Someone give this entire cast an award for bringing the house down in this last episode!!!! Oh man “Being Alive” hit so hard. I absolutely love that song! I am so impressed by this cast and crew! The writers and actors really put their all into this episode and I couldn’t be happier! I am however going to need many weeks to recover after all that angst they put me through. Cant wait for the next season!!!

Thoughts on Jack Ryan as a whole....

So with season 4, Jack Ryan comes to an end. In the end, the show has always struck me as a competent, enjoyable, espionage thriller with likable characters, but fairly by the numbers in terms of execution. There has never been anything that has stuck me as 'wow' about it, but I have always enjoyed it. I think Season 1 was probably still my favorite. I think Season 1 and Season 3 were the best seasons. Season 4 was good, but due to reduced episode count, it felt less fleshed out than previous seasons. I didn't quite completely understand the various intricacies of the criminal organization. Season 2 was the weakest because I think it fell into the tropes of Jack Ryan seeking revenge, and in general the story was the least interesting. I think the show benefited by a likable group of actors in key roles. John Krasinski was consistently strong. He is very innately likable and doesn't come off as a superhero. Wendell Pierce as Jack Greer was excellent throughout. Michael Kelly as Mike November was a standout for me. Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright lent a formidable presence in the last 2 seasons. Michael Pena was a big boost for the show in the final season, as Domingo Chavez. Abbie Cornish had a relatively thankless role as Cathy Mueller but she also leaves a mark and she has good chemistry with John Krasinski and was able to be seamless reintegrated into the show, after being absent for seasons 2 and 3. All in all, I quite liked the show. I am glad it didn't overstretch its welcome, even though I would have enjoyed another season.

3x12 Negative Space

The scene in Owen's dining room with Owen, Catherine, Mateo, and Gabriel is one of my favorite opening scenes of season 3.

-Gabriel's expressions each time he learns of another person who had met Owen's fist is golden. It honestly reminds me of a lot of Carlos' expressions when he is presented with the Strand men.

-I love any scenes with Mateo and Owen, they are always hilarious. I love them as roommates.

-I really like Catherine and love the way she calls Owen out on his issues.
