I want. Four to get appreciation. Because
Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured
The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal
But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff
From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them
So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)
He took care of Epona
Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her
And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance
He took care of Twilight's stuff
He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place
And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.
Also- because of his placement in this scene
I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything
And he did housekeeping!
Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn
Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in
Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn
Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn
Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious
There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future
But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way
Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things
No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?

After finishing She-Ra 2018 I'm trying to work on my unified theory for why CatDora bothers me as the endgame ship. Cause as CEO of mentally ill cartoon women, there's something about it that feels a disservice to Catra's psychology and trauma. She is genuinely such an interesting character to watch because they so clearly lay out the abusive dynamic that informs her entire character, but by the kiss, I feel like they lost steam with it.
The biggest thing to me is the simple fact that Adora is basically a trigger for her. Adora's personality as someone who is constantly self-sacrificing and forgiving is something Catra has a deep hatred for because she believes she is worthless and unforgivable, and when people try to help her she feels they're using her to look better while she fails to get better.
The fact that ADORA herself was the one in that original dynamic that traumatized the hell out of her makes me uncomfortable with how Catra eventually just... stops getting set off by things. I just can't imagine how what happened leading up to their kiss would desensitize Catra enough to that trauma response that she'd be in love with her. Like in that same season she was fucking death gripping the table at hearing Adora's name, and in seasons earlier she straight up like dissociated when people brought up her heroics. Not only the unearned healing, but the "I've loved you all along" feels a bit patronizing to her past. That all her emotionality was complicated romantic feelings, and not... having really nasty childhood trauma.

[ID: a digital owl house comic spanning three images. Panel 1: The scene header reads "in the not so distant future, post hexsquad and C.A.T.Ts reunion" and features Luz, Lilith and Steve. They're in a forest and there's a tent in the background labeled "Camilla + hexsquad camp". Luz says "okay, so "owl house" is a game where King and The Collector reenact our adventures...using the people of the boilings isles sorta like NPCs in creatures and caverns...roleplaying as people from our lives!".
Panel 2: a close-up of Luz, resting her face on her hand, looking questioningly as she continues "hmm...but if everyone on the isle's been assigned someone from our lives to play in Owl House...then who's the collector playing?"
Panel 3: a shadow descends on Luz and she tenses up as a mysterious voice asks "isn't it obvious?"
The final "panel" is a full length image of the collector, dressed in Luz's season 1 outfit, floating above her menacingly as shooting stars and crescent moons swirl around him, the ground turning into a crescent effigy. White text sits above the collector, reading "I'm you". End ID]
Okay I had to post my predictions before we get a sneak peek. What better way to convince Luz her life is worth living than to have someone literally try to steal it!!

I was watching the second video of the statehouse again yesterday, and the last part of it got me thinking :
DC helped Gov leave Pennsylvania...
Not only that but Gov apparently wouldn't have been able to get out in the first place without DC's help??
DC thinks PA's actions are an issue, Gov does not think he's "that bad" until DC has to point out something he did. It's kind of common for abuse victims to not realise how horrible their situation is/was until someone else points it out to them; then the reality hits them.
On that same thought, the shiver??? after Gov remembers what Pennsylvania did??? and that scared look??? I'm telling you it sent so many fic ideas in my brain. If I ever get around to writing one this thing is definitely coming there.

They do vulnerability with Mac so well, and in such careful doses. The soft reverence in the way she says, “They had tons of clothes” breaks my heart. So does the confidence in her mispronounciation of “chic”—a beautiful little reference to comic!Mac being a reader, often above her grade level, but feeling like she has to hide it. This kid has so many layers, and she wants so badly to keep anyone from seeing that, because in her world, every layer offers a new chance for someone to slice in deep. Prioritize tough. Prioritize cajones. Don’t let them see you’re smarter than they expect. Don’t let them see you wish you had more than your brother’s hand-me-downs. Don’t let them see you’re dreaming of getting out in a thousand tiny little ways. Let them remember only the brash outer surface, the one that can’t hurt when they don’t like it, because it isn’t really you.
Contrast this with the desperation in her voice when she thinks it’s all going to be erased. The panicked apologies. The hitch in her smile: “Let’s be honest—you couldn’t [forget me], even if you tried, right?” She knows there’s only so much road out ahead of her; she’s seen the stone in the ground. And she’s begging them—with that smile, always play-acting, just a little—to tell her again she’s more than just a tough little shit-starter. To tell her she’s worth remembering. That they will, even if she can’t stay. If I’m going, that moment says, I want it to be when you three can see who I actually am. I want friends. I want to be remembered. I want to matter. It’s all built to with such careful detail work over the season, and I am desperate to see more of it in the future.

watching hypmic stageplay videos and again consumed by despair that we'll never see that particular actor as jakurai again because they graduated the ENTIRE cast for some reason
he's just so striking in the role and his voice was perfect :(
