Do you think the Joker would ever let his light do his face paint on day? I can’t help but smile at the thought; Joker sitting still with his eyes closed like those kids who’re getting painted as a tiger at the fair, patiently waiting. Everything would be done with precision: sharp smile, blacked out eyes (don’t even think about one of the dark circles being slightly bigger/wonkier than the other- we gotta start from scratch!). I doubt he’d let his light use setting powder, eyeliner and/or lip liner before going out to wreak havoc, but oh boy- all it takes is one evening before Joker is strutting around with a glam look💃🕺

Ohhhhh but full coverage nights are your favorite. Joker lets you cleanse his face with masks and serums before pushing his hair back with a cute headband. You giggle as he sits there so patiently, almost like a kid.

That gets you moving to prime his face with only the best products on the market and you talk about which products you’re using as you create your masterpiece.

His foundation ain’t budging you hear me? Those black circles are immaculate! Symmetrical and darker than the moon. You ate that 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

And his signature red smile? Never looked better. Yes, yes he makes you smear it along the edges of his scars for that ‘sinister look’ but you get a little too carried away while kissing him I mean smudging the lipstick.

Joker doesn’t mind your odd method of applying lipstick. He loves the shade better on you anyway and he loves your lips on his even more.

You pull away to hide your flustered cheeks and tell J to close his eyes.

You go a little heavy on the setting powder but it gives him that haunting look he’s going for. No more runny makeup after two hours on the town. (See below)

Tips on what to wear/buy for Marilyn Monroe/doll like makeup? I was told I have those types of features and I’d love to enhance it or balance it out! Not sure which makeup style that would be. But soft looks/ and makeup “non makeup” type looks work best for me. Thank you~

Hi love! I would say the following makeup products can help generate/enhance this look:

Lightweight, full-coverage foundation/concealer (I love the NYX Can't Stop, Won't Stop concealer)

A light sweep of a golden-peachy blush (Nars Orgasm would be great for this look, but it depends on your skin tone)

A light champagne highlight on the tops of your cheekbones and under the arches of your brows (I recommend something like the Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick)

Brow Pomade/Powder/Pencil that matches your brow color to fill in any gaps (I love the NYX Fill N' Fluff pencil)

A shimmering champagne (lid and below the brow – I would say to go with Stila Kitten Eye Shadow) and light brown (crease – NYX's J'Adore would be perfect for this) eyeshadow

Black or dark brown eyeliner (depending on your desired look/hair and skin coloring) for a thin winged liner look. I swear by the PAT McGRATH LABS PERMA PRECISION Liquid Eyeliner

Lengthening mascara (something like e.l.f Lash N' Roll Mascara)

Red lipstick with a golden glow/undertones (Nars Immortal Red immediately comes to mind)

How do you glue down your eyebrows so well when you do drag? I’ve been wanting to get into drag, but no matter what I do, my eyebrows won’t be tamed. I don’t even have especially thick or unruly eyebrows, so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I would love to get advice from you, since you always seem to do it perfectly.

First of all this is like. The biggest compliment ever… my brows used to be a complete healthy breakfast of quaker oats and it just took a lot of trial and error over the past 3 years of practicing drag makeup. However i’ll give u tips so hopefully it won’t take u that long. I use the elmer’s glue disappearing purple gluestick like most drag queens, a spoolie (i got a 12 pack from real techniques for like 5 bucks at ulta and u can reuse) and ALCOHOL PREP PADSSSS.

Start by plucking any straggling hairs around the bulk of your brow particularly at the tail of your brow because those will be the ones that stick through your foundation. Then take the glue stick and make back and forth passing motions thru your brow, coating the hairs—with and against the grain, so to speak. Then take the spoolie and start at the head of your brow, pressing hard into the skin (not so hard it hurts, just enough to make sure you’re really laying the hairs flat) then rake the hairs at a diagonal away from the head of your brow. Do this throughout the entire brow. Once the hairs are laid, take the glue stick and, following that diagonal path that your hairs are in, lay down more glue. Let it dry, at least till your fingers don’t stick to it. Then do another layer, dry, repeat, another layer. Then take the alcohol prep pad and clean the area around the brow, then again following that diagonal (as not to disrupt the hairs) wipe the brow gently.

Lastly, if you’re comfortable doing this, lick the glue stick and lay down one more layer of glue. Let it dry but not completely. Then powder with translucent powder, wipe away. Depending on your skin tone and how deep your brow color is, use a peach (for light complexion) or orange (for deep) color corrector on top of your brow, pat it in with a blender or a brush, lightly powder with translucent powder. Do this if your brow color is brown or darker, because it will leave a blueish cast beneath the powder and foundation: orange/peach will cancel that out. Then I use a full coverage foundation (kvd lock-it). I put a pump on the back of my hand and smooth it out with a flat foundation brush or my finger and swipe it over the brow, administering the foundation in layers. Keep going until the brow is pretty much undetectable. After drawing on a brow, concealing the lid underneath, and eyeshadow, any shadow after that won’t really be detectable unless someone is real close.

#dont expect to be perfect at this it took me soooo long to even get to where i am and i am still improving each time #so much about practicing makeup is technique but specifically the pressure and finesse needed to get the tool to do what it needs to #and i promise with practice youll figure it out

okay, well, TECHNICALLY they do first meet at the ice cream shop. due a long series of vaguely related incidents and infractions, he is staying with a relative in the same neighborhood where she’s house-sitting for the summer, and on his second night there, he goes out to explore the area and stops for ice cream, and she’s having a very shitty night at work and is very snippy with him but also gives him like twice the amount of ice cream that he ordered because she thinks he’s cute and she’s mad that she’s too mad to actually flirt with him. but they ACTUALLY meet, like exchange names and numbers, a few days later when she accidentally hits him with her car while he’s skateboarding down the street (he’s fine. he has incurred one million stupid injuries in various increasingly stupid ways but he has never actually broken a bone). she is, again, mad that he is so cute and so perfectly her type (band t-shirt, tight grungy jeans, floppy dark hair, poorly applied eyeliner, looks like he should be either backstage at a show or in the pit) but they both manage to get some good flirting in.

… the first time they hang out for real, they go to the beach near the neighborhood where they’re both staying and they’re both thrilled to find out that the other person is not a full-coverage-shirt-at-the-beach kind of person. [obviously no shade to anyone who is. these two are just horny] A rolls up and sheds her crop top and shorts to reveal an eye-meltingly little fuchsia bikini that shows off her belly rolls, her soft, dimpled thighs, the faded stretch marks on her hips and sides and arms. T is instantly like, oh, so she’s not just cool with her body, she is actively flaunting it, LOVE that. he thinks she is smoking hot and also thinks it’s extremely sexy that her attitude about her body seems to be “I’m super hot and if you don’t think so you can get fucked.” T somehow forgot to pack a bathing suit for this trip but is fully willing to strip down to his boxers in the name of throwing himself in the ocean and also showing off in front of a hot girl. he has an impressive array of stretch marks himself, more fresh than hers, and she gets a fun little kick out of looking at his also-impressive array of stick and pokes and trying to figure out which ones have stretched a little. he’s very soft fat and she wants to just sink her hands into him, and her long, appreciative glances and demonstrative flirting makes him confident enough that she must think he’s hot too that he throws a little extra weight (lol) behind his own flirting game.

A LOVES that he thinks she’s hot and she also thinks it’s really refreshing because she’s had some experiences, in the community and out, of people who are into fat bodies behind closed doors but never in public, and she’s really into how upfront and unequivocal he is about it. she is comfy in her skin! A has always been fat and her family is also fat, and her experience with it at home, at least, was pretty neutral/“oh well, this is just how it is!” her immersion in feedist spaces online has also helped her find fat liberation, and she’s done the work, she has a solid foundation there, and she also has always found fat women super hot and like, figured that out early enough that she was like, wait, I’m a fat woman too, so I must also be hot?? (she and T are both bi/pan!) obviously it’s not always easy to BE a fat woman in the world but generally she feels pretty good about it and thinks of herself as a hot person, and if other people don’t agree then that’s THEIR issue, not hers. she also loves to show a little skin and wear things that were very clearly designed for thin people on pinterest boards because she gets a thrill out of it. oh, you didn’t want to see her whole VBO and a back roll in this little cutout bodycon sundress she wore to the grocery store? sucks to be you!

T’s experience is similar in that his family is also fat, except for his dad (who’s a huge asshole and the source of most of the conflict in T’s life), and he’s basically decided that in a world where being thin is the ultimate accomplishment/beauty standard, the most punk thing you can do is be unapologetically fat. so he’s fat and he’ll continue to be fat(ter) and he’s PROUD OF IT. he’s never intentionally gained in so many words but he gets stoned and stuffs himself on a very regular basis and he’s not NOT into its affects on his waistline. he treats himself to some luxury edibles whenever he goes up a size. he has a lot of insecurities about not being good enough for people (thanks dad), and despite his best efforts, his body isn’t always exempt from that, so he just tries to fake confidence until he believes it so no one will be the wiser. but generally he’s pretty comfortable with his body and has zero qualms about whipping his clothes off, so their beach date goes great.

they go for a swim, enjoy the breathless and titillating experience of slathering SUNSCREEN on each other’s SOFT PARTS, and eat a probably inadvisable amount of ice cream. they both order the same size and A eats maybe three quarters of hers, then offers the rest to T as a litmus test. “can’t finish?�� he asks, and she catches his eye, offers him a little wink. “oh, I can. What are your favorite beauty and haircare products?

oh man this is such an important question to me. i'm going to take it in order of types of product

skincare: i can't rave enough about the Paula's Choice BHA. It's done WONDERS for my skin in just the couple of weeks i've been using it. I absolutely love it. Also i just started testing the supergoop unseen sunscreen (and actually all their spf products) and i love love love them all already.

primer: milk hydrogrip. i've tried so many. but this, this, is the best.

foundation: fenty beauty hydrating foundation!!! also the make up forever ultra HD stick foundation. sooo gorgeous. buttery. incredibly easy to blend. hydrating. love love love.

concealer: i've been using the kosas concealer lately - it's solid! very natural. i think i'd have liked a bit more coverage but it blends sooo beautifully and feels amazing.

powder: laura mercier setting powder. i love her. i need her. also the fenty beauty pressed powder for touch-ups and a second setting powder.

blush: how to even express. i love blush. colourpop supershock blushes are amazing. so bouncy and delicious. RARE BEAUTY LIQUID BLUSHES i will SWEAR by these. my favorite blushes are brown and terracotta colors, and the rare beauty terracotta is soooo gorgeous. i also love the fenty beauty cream blush. i have a lovely brown/maroon color. obsessed with it.

highlighter: sorry, no one can beat the colourpop supershock highlighters. (though the rare beauty liquid illuminator is STUNNING especially paired with the blushes.)

eyeliner: even though my eyeliner is my signature, i actually don't have an eyeliner that i'm obsessed with. the closest one was the NYC (not NYX) eyeliner but that's been discontinued. i just pick up whatever and make it work. i HATE felt tip eyeliners, i much prefer brush-tip, and I don't like the really vinyl-y ones that peel off. i want them to be streaks of paint. eyeliner pencils, i love colourpop and urban decay. i really enjoy pops of color!

eyeshadow: my most used palettes are the ABH soft glam, the colourpop it's a mood mega palette, and the colourpop good sport palette. but i have...too many eyeshadow palettes and singles lol.

eyebrow products: i have naturally thick eyebrows and when they're threaded, they don't really need a whole lot. i used to use the LA Girl brow pomade but ever since i lost mine (lol) i've just been using tinted brow gel and that's enough for me to get a teensy bit more fullness and keep them set. i've been going between the essence dark brown tinted brow gel AND the colourpop dark brown tinted brow gel. my only complaint about the latter is that it's tiny so it runs out very quickly but it's my favorite.

haircare: i'm still working on figuring out exactly what works for me but i've really been enjoying the shea moisture leave in condition that's like. maracuja and fig? i think? it's really nice. also the hibiscus (hah) curling cream is really nice too!
