I hate Falmer dungeons. I cannot stand Charus. I hate tiny poorly lit corridors full of poison and torment. I, sincerely, cannot stand them. But this? Jesus christ. What a fuckign dungeon. Short and sweet so it doesn’t drag out, a riveting story, absolutely brilliant staging. And the pacing? Absolutely delectable.
Not an overt amount of loot, but the +10% restoration buff upon completion is real good if you’re doing a mage or paladin build, or just for every day utility. Let’s be real, who hasn’t popped out Healing Hands or Healing when your favorite follower starts to crumple?
My only minor complaint is just how easy it is to miss the smaller details of the story, like the son and daughter if you’re not thinking about it. I know I’ve done so a couple times. But what really stops it from being a 10/10 has to be location. Not a lot of people are aimlessly wandering out around the tundra flats, methinks, and it’s just more grey stone accentuated with snow.
I can’t recommend this dungeon if you don’t like bugs. Can’t find a good ‘replace charus’ mod anywhere.
To save myself some time and sanity, I’ve decided to simplify my plans for the Glass Gown in order to wear it to an event next year. So instead of making a silk dupioni underskirt and a beaded organza overskirt, I’m making just one skirt!
With 8 panels and a shaped waistband. Out of silk velvet.
Which came in a very pretty, very blue teal:
After a dunk in some yellow dye it came out a lovely shade of emerald, and here is the pile of scrap that results from not being able to top and tail the skirt panels:
Four yards of velvet resulting in about 2 yards of scrap, none of which will go to waste. I’ll be using these for smaller projects like pieced tops or accessories, or as appliqué material for some texture.
yeah yeah i predate this with my “when i first played skyrim i was kinda young and pretty stupid” statement, but of all the miscellaneous quests, the one with Frostflow Lighthouse was so fucking enrapturing to me for some reason. there was so much wonder and fear playing through that simple “investigate the murders in frostflow lighthouse” quest. while i preach on how i can replay skyrim over and over again and never get tired of replaying it, that’s probably the one quest i wish i could replay for the first time all over again.
While I may not be allowing myself to post spiraling upwards spoilers, I see no issue with posting art of a bunch of folks who are dead before the story starts and one Conetalon who isn't
