French naturalisation test questions
as shared by someone else in a fb group I'm in
Hi, everbody !
Here are some questions you may have during the interview for the naturalisation. I put the answers but you can change them according to you.
Motivation
1. Pourquoi voulez-vous devenir français(e) ?
Vous pouvez citer :
· Les valeurs de la France auxquelles vous adhérez :

Intro post!
(if you're looking for the breast cancer awareness post it is here)
HII!!
My name on the internet is Dandelion, but you can call me whatever you like honestly. It's so hard to find a good name around here, the fae keep stealing them
I use any pronouns, online people default to they/them, IRL people default to she/her, you can use whatever you feel like!
I'm aroace 🧡💛🤍🩵💙 and my gender is up to interpretation lol
I'm 16 and I live in France but I have both French and American citizenship
I have both scoliosis (diagnosed, 45°) and probably dyslexia (not officially diagnosed but all the internet tests I did were screaming at me to go get an official diagnosis) and those two really hate each other who deCIDED SCOLISOIS SHOULD BE SPELLED THE WAY IT IS (if i spell it correctly be aware that either I copied it from somewhere, or i thought about it for WAY too long, or it was a monkeys on keyboards thing)
I created a blog just for reblogging shit (aptly named @dandelionflowery-reblogs) but even with that I can't promise to tag stuff correctly on either...
I'm not often super active on here, at least not regularly, mostly because I have way too many classes but sometimes I go absolutely insane and spend like an entire day on here (oops)
~~☆~~
I like:
- Harry Potter (Drarry, Deamus, Romione, Linny are my main ships but there's a decent chance you could get me to like a specific portrayal of just about any pairing lol) [also fuck jkr]
- The Marauders (WOLFSTARRR! Also Jily and aroace Peter and maybe Remadora. Same thing as before: open to other pairings [I know of and appreciate the ships with the girls but usually I'll lean towards the first ones mentioned actually I'll lean towards wolfstar with background Jily and aa battery Peter)
- Reading and books in general
- Fanfics, fanart!! (Both writing/drawing them and reading/simping for them)
Speaking of which, I have a side blog that's actually technically marauders themed! @mybrain-fanficedition
- Interactions on here!!
- there's probably some other stuff I like but I can't think of anything rn
~~☆~~
I don't like:
- Following from above, I said I was open to pretty much any pairing, ... I lied lol
I don't really like adult/child pairings (especially not snarry) but I am still open to at least trying it, but it is much much harder to convince me about that
- That said, irl adult/child is very bad and dni if you think it should be a thing in real life, fanfic is fiction do not attempt
- Also the usual list of if you're homophobic transphobic uh racist or just a generally mean person
~~☆~~
I like talking to people even if you don't know what to say just say hi!
Also I have other social media, come find me if you want!
@/flowerydandelion, @/dandelionfloweryart and @/wands.swords.and.books on Instagram!
On Ao3 I'm like 90% sure it's DandelionFlowery and uh probably similar usernames on Discord and Reddit [though I'm not often active on there]
Wait if I link my ao3 that means i need to actually post my fics lol
Leave comments if you read my fics, I love feedback!! (or just leave kudos, it makes me irrationally happy lol)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/12/06/germany-israel-citizenship-requirement/
BERLIN — A commitment in writing for the “right of the State of Israel to exist” is now a requirement to become a German citizen in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt, a local official announced.
Regional Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang said Tuesday that the decree was issued at the end of November, underlining that Israel’s “right to exist” is a “raison d'état” for Germany. The French term, meaning a fundamental principle of state, was first used by then-Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Knesset in 2008, and repeated by leading politicians since Oct. 7, to describe Germany’s historical responsibility for the Holocaust, in which 6 million Jews were murdered.
Any applicant who fails to submit the declaration should be denied naturalization, the decree reads. Zieschang said attention should also be paid to whether an applicant shows “indications that antisemitic attitudes are present.”
The letter sent to local authorities adds that naturalization should be denied if an applicant pursues “activities that are against the liberal democratic basic order,” as described in Germany’s constitution. This also includes “antisemitic offenses or the denial of Israel’s right to exist,” the letter states.
While limited to the state of Saxony-Anhalt for now, the new requirement reflects a wider debate in Germany over the country’s planned citizenship revision that is expected within a matter of months.
The biggest parliamentary opposition group, the conservative CDU/CSU, has also called for a signed statement confirming “Israel’s right to exist” as a prerequisite for citizenship.
The conservative draft law also proposes that non-German nationals convicted of a crime deemed to have had “antisemitic” motives should result in the “loss of humanitarian protection in Germany,” which would usually result in deportation, while dual German nationals should lose their German citizenship if they receive a prison sentence of at least one year for a crime judged to have had “antisemitic” motives.
The three governing parties, the Social Democrats, the Greens and the business-friendly Free Democrats, want to stipulate that “antisemitic attitudes or actions” rule out naturalization.
Following a crackdown on pro-Palestinian voices in Germany in recent weeks, concerns are growing that Germany’s federal citizenship revision will target voices critical of the Israeli government and naturalization could be denied to anyone who has expressed support for Palestinians.
As the nationality law currently stands, applicants for naturalization are required to score at least 50 percent on a 33-question citizenship test, show proficiency in at least intermediate German, provide proof of independent financial support and have resided in Germany for eight years — in some cases less.
The revision plans could see the residency requirement slashed to five years, or in some cases three, and also enable dual citizenship for non-European Union citizens, which for now is only possible in exceptional cases.

A New Beginning —
Tonight we have the New moon, a time meant for letting go of what no longer serves us, new beginnings, manifesting and so on. So, I thought what better time when now to share this, especially with how everything’s been happening in such perfect synchronicities! 🧘🏾♀️
A year and a few months ago, I manifested my then-dream job. I dreamt to work a place with low levels of stress. A place that embodied calmness, class and luxury. So, when I saw one of the prettiest buildings I had seen in a long time, I pointed at it during my short explanation of what I wanted (as I was looking for a job); “A place like that! It's so pretty, it could be cool to work a place that beautiful". When i'd returned home, I searched it up and saw it was a luxury hotel and they were looking for a Wellness Receptionist and applied. I didn't even really research well before doing so, or before going to the interview. I later found out I was the second applicant and was chosen during my first interview against 50+ others.
It was great in the begining; New surroundings, my second day was a bit hectic but I was given a large tip and even gifted a bag later that week by a French woman, who was beyond greatful someone could translate everything - making her more comfortable then she had been most of her stay. We spoke for about an hour, and I remember how at the end she asked how long I’d been working there — to her surprise, it had only been a few days. And to my surprise, she said I was too good for that place. Now looking back I take this as a small omen / for-shadowing.
A year later, I finally decided to study to become a massage therapist and this Tuesday I graduated (thank you for all the congratulations 🍾) At this point, that job had become a place I knew would soon be in my past, even long before I graduated. The beautiful facade seemed to have faded after seven or so months in, especially when I started to experience what I now feel could be considered warnings; Being yelled at by therapists. My asked opinions, help and idea's being ignored and put off. Being mislead, promised certain things with rejections at the end, where any reference to past conversation were treated as if I had misunderstood. My last straw was being lied on. I tried to handle myself with the utmost grace and class, because no place is worth going ham on.
At the end, I was ready to leave but I was beat to the punch and asked to step down with compensation. I took this as the universe giving me a gentle out and I took it. I’ve now spent the past few days simply enjoying my newfound 'freedom'. I went to write in my journal, pouring out my feelings and words I wanted to say but knew would gain me nothing but momentary gratification but little to no changed behavior, and I realized that I was at the last page of my journal; The same journal where I manifested this Blog and all 3.5K of you. The same journal where I predicted countless of outcomes, wished and dreamed things I now have. From my diploma to passing my citizenship test, that I had been failing 5 times depsite growing up in this country & most of the subjects falling under my wheelhouse of knowledge. I haven't returned to it for long, I usually write, release and put it away. But seeing all of my words, my hopes and my dreams sparked so much joy within me.
[ A picture of the old journal; I choose it because it looked like something that should contain important words. And at the end, it did. ]
I Went out buying a new one, starting a new journey and I of course had to pick a book that felt powerful because I know what I am going to creat and do next will need something to match that energy!
A lot of new things are happening, I’m exited and wanted to share— especially the last message;
Never stop believing in your vision, your dreams, your desires. Listen to your heart, intuition and remember that good things are all around. Allow yourself to flow freely and let the universe take you wherever you're meant to go. And whenever times get rough, remind yourself, however you can, of why you are on your path.
Happy Friday to you all 🤎

pi nora rose | character sheet
Reason or meaning of name:
English: Nora - “shining light”, Lin - “forest, jade”.
Cantonese: Ying - “clever”, Xiu - “outstanding”, Zhang - “to draw a bow; archer”
Full name: Nora Lin Rose / Zhang Ying Xiu (she/her)
Birth date: 7th January 1992
Appearance: 5 '6, light brown complexion, has short choppy black hair, with a scar across her left eyelid, has a hunched back situation going on; button-up shirt with a brown corduroy jacket, clip-on earrings and trousers.
Background: Asian-American (Han Chinese by ethnicity, American by citizenship)
Occupation: Private eye
LI: Trystan Thorne
━ childhood:
Before what she calls “The Shitshow” happened, Nora had a pretty supportive upbringing. Her parents were both immigrants from Hong Kong who settled in Manhattan. Her mom, Alison, worked as a professor and her dad, Jimmy, was a police officer.
Alison passed away when Nora was 9 after a battle with a chronic illness, caught and misdiagnosed by healthcare professionals. Jimmy, as per canon, was murdered on active duty when she was 13. This led to Nora developing a lot of distrust for the healthcare industry.
She was what you’d call a “troubled kid” at school and sometimes her trauma manifested in the form of panic attacks, anger issues and so on. Nora had to regularly switch schools to find one that accommodated her. Uncle Tommy, being her primary guardian, had tons to sort out, besides coping with his own loss.
Nora didn’t have the drive to get into medicine, so she decided to go with the next certain plan which was applying to be a police officer (since it was a tried and tested field) right after college.
Most of her career-defining decisions were made like darts thrown at a board. She was consumed entirely by the loss of her parents, it felt like she had no choice. She wanted something to do, she had no idea and she couldn’t give two shits about therapy.
Education: She did a B.A in Criminal Law and a minor in theoretical physics from the University of Buffalo.
━ nypd years:
Nora was pretty good at solving puzzles mostly because she knew where to look for answers. A disadvantage when one day, she takes upon the case of Aneesa Wang privately, after the latter approaches her about a criminal gang using her as a fall guy.
This kind of leads to Nora learning a crap ton of stuff about her fellow coworkers and being able to sniff out dirty cops. Aneesa had to leave the country entirely, halting her postgrad dreams likely forever, which was the catalyst that made Nora submit her finding and quit the force.
━ the ginovesi agency:
Nora secures a position thanks to Mafalda learning about the breakthrough she’d made on the police department. She offers her a temp job to get to know her and ensure she is properly ready to earn her license.
She started out doing desk jobs but quickly earned Mafalda’s respect which allowed her to work on some high-profile cases as her assistant. After obtaining her license, she works on a massive embezzlement case that kind of becomes her magnum opus.
Her forte usually lies in corporate fraud, infidelity and missing persons cases.
━ thoughts on trystan:
Nora and Trystan are both “one falls first, other falls harder” and give off big divorced energy at the same time.
She sees him as a client at first, then a contributor and a friend which becomes a relationship. They will never get certain parts of each other but aren’t afraid to show unabashed empathy without holding back.
━ misc:
She’s somewhat fluent in Cantonese, knows English and picked up some French in school.
Had she not gotten into medicine or detective work, she would have likely been a soccer player.
She’s bisexual and also on the ace spectrum (likely sex-indifferent) mostly because she’s exhausted and doesn’t have fucks to give.
favourite puzzles of hers: sudoku, tetris, solitaire, rubik’s cubes, minesweeper - literally any card game. She swears by the “takes a second to learn, a lifetime to master” rule of thumb.
useless skills: throwing things with a bang-on aim, able to cook dinner in under five minutes, can recognize any ABBA song from the first five seconds.

Day Seventy-Six
Today I discovered that Mr. C is the most cautious driver ever. Usually, he gets to work way before I do, but this morning he was right in front of me, doing ten under the speed limit on the road up to the high school. Did I tease him for it as we were walking into the building? Yes.
I mean, it made me late for the holiday breakfast!
One of the excellent traditions at my school is that, on the last Thursday before winter vacation, we spend the time we'd ordinarily spend in PLC meetings having a delicious, celebratory meal. The advanced culinary class prepares it, our admins serve it, it's always great. My Cacophonous friends and I spent the hour chatting over coffee, quiche, stuffed french toast, and other delicious foods. We also got to vote in the department "holiday card" contest, and we'll see if social studies pulls off a win!
Also, Ms. A and I had an interesting chat about the fact that I almost never do something fluffy or non-academic before a vacation. Now, I don't care what anyone else does- it's up to each teacher to figure out what works best for them and their students- but my own thinking is that my students will only take my class seriously if I do. So I take it very, very seriously. I mean, I respond to their complaints with jokes about being a Grinch, but then I do my teaching.
My APGOV students finished a test, which went pretty well. My Global Studies students started a little group project. They have to find out the answers to 10-15 of the questions (depending on their group's size) on the Citizenship Test, and put together some form of presentation to share that information with their classmates. They'll finish the work tomorrow, share after we come back. It's good research and citation practice, it gets them thinking about their own government, and it's knowledge they'll need next year in American Studies (when they actually take the test for real).
And! I had a lot of students say they liked this assignment, and even one or two say they were glad I wasn't showing a movie.
So that's a win!
What else? Today's spirit theme was "storm vs warm," so students and staff were dressed in a hilarious mix of winter gear, tropical shirts, etc... And, yes, there were kids who committed to wearing shorts even though it was barely cracking double digits this morning. North country kids are immune to the cold, obviously.

𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑 . 𝒃𝒊𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒚
google's definition of a nepotism baby , born to a freshly married and in love couple of gabriel sawyer ; famous executive producer , often credited on the top of billboard's albums , as well as collaborated with multiple top artists , from mariah carey to ariana grande , dua lipa or olivia rodrigo , and sabrina sawyer , former high fashion model loved by top designers such as versace , dior , mugler etc . and currently one of the best professional dance choreographers , highly desired by the music industry to work with . vinnie had his entire life secured the moment first pictures of sabrina with baby bump leaked .
saying he was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth is a disgrace as they'd be most likely seen wearing golden diapers if possible . spoiled left and right from their parents , family and family's friends and as vinnie grew up , he quickly became people's magazine and tmz's most loved . despite being raised in circumstances that everyone else would be rotten spoiled , vinnie was everything but that . always polite , always making a conversation with everyone and never left without wishing you a good day . days spent on playground only to come back when the evening came closer , all muddy and bruised with his perfectly curled hair now wet from the sweat but his face was always red , biggest smile glowing up his face from the happiness after the entire day . when their younger sister was born , she became absolutely everything to vinnie ; probably a bigger apple of the eye for him than their parents .
the sawyers moved out of france when gabriel was offered to start his own record label . it only made sense that vinnie would start showing their interest and an incredible talent in singing , songwriting and had a golden touch with different instruments when they barely turned eleven . it wouldn't take long for their parents to put them on voice lessons , piano and guitar playing lessons , songwriting camps and they would even be casted in ads for kids and growing up , managed to book his disney cameos in a few episodes of different shows .
at sixteen , he goes viral as his sister posts a short video of him covering ‘ drops of jupiter ’ . it was easy – after all , they are a sawyer . the record deals were coming left and right , booking vinnie would bring an immediate success to any label that was lucky enough to get their attention . a nepo baby coming back to the spotlight with his own thing , separating himself from his parents and making a name out for himself . loyalty being first thing vinnie was ever taught , he signed a deal with his father's freshly debuted record label . it was a successful decision ; the label received a big clout as vinnie was announced as the first artist and their fame was growing with each day passing . they didn't need a feature , neither a scandal ( however , was unable to avoid them ; especially when you're suddenly raising towards the fame ) . they released their first single ‘ secret ’ on february 14th 2018 ; the song talking about his ex girlfriend cheating on him , a break up the entire internet was going through as well which turned out to take a successful toll on his career .
career wise , they have been releasing multiple eps while working on his debut album since their first single dropped . vinnie recently came back from world tour where he was performing as one of the supporting acts alongside muse 2i , which was also what tested his two year long relationship on basically every platform possible ; not only with the difficulty of timezones but having to deal with more and more rumors forming , one of them suggesting an affair between vinnie and muse 2i after their duet song was released , ‘ we both know ’ right as vinnie lands in new york after six months of absence . the tour has definitely helped their career a lot more ; their following and streams growing up each day , the duet song currently spending its fifth week on the first place at billboard hot 100s .
𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 . 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚
he was always raised well despite the luxuries he lived in . often mixed in problematic rumors which are quickly to be exposed as lies as they never fit what vinnie really is like . a short description would be as your book definiton of golden retriever energy and a social butterfly . takes romantic relationships very easily ; he watched his parents in love their entire life , their little secret desire is to have what they do yet often gets his heart broken which helped him learn how to be cautious . vinnie is a very private person , the only way he ever exposes himself is through his music . not a single truthful interview in their entire career has ever been made as he often dodges a question or is able to come up with a lie on spot as they believe the less they shows to the public , the better . also , pro at dad jokes , always has them up his sleeve .
𝐒𝐈𝐗 . 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔
– known for making instagram lives where he’s teasing new songs in the middle of the night which his fans hate him for !
– often goes on tweet / dm sprees on twitter where he notices his fans . think like , ariana grande before she dipped . this is how close he is with his fanbase !
– always wearing his airpods & is never seen without his skateboard !
– came back with BOXES of fun skateboards from tour & even had custom made vans from his vans which he luvs very much & is often seen wearing <333 !
– is the worst at dancing which is ironic bc his mother is known for being probably the best dancer on the planet . he held a q&a at his last tour & almost broke his ankle when tease argued with a fan about having two left feet !
– overshares . a lot . especially with his fans . it's often "vinnie just tweeted" & it's deleted five seconds later too jfdkdks !
– he's the face of prada !
– owns two dogs , one is a three year old australian shepard called howie and a seven months old doberman puppy , ricky !
– when secret was released , it brought a lot of jokes and memes inside his fanbase , often referring to tweets such as ‘ remember when vinnie ended his ex on valentine’s day ’
𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 . 𝒂𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔
making up random stories during interviews to confuse the audience , leaving not a single article piece to be true ; a batch of ripped papers on his bed & broken pencils as a result of songwriting for seven hours , a collection of limited edition skateboards hanging on his bedroom wall , missed calls from his ex , fan letters from tour hidden in his desk drawer that he comes back to every once in a while , multi colored vans & converse , skating everywhere & probably driving you insane , salt & vinegar crisps , a vinyl collection ( especially limited editions ) , two left feet while dancing , getting a store bought pie only to layer it with icing & write apologies on it .

the post i just reblogged reminded me how i used to love learning languages... aside from hebrew (my native language), the languages i learnt in my life:
english - at school, then i lived in nyc in 8th grade, and have been on social media & read books so i would say i'm very fluent in it.
spanish - i mentioned it in the tags of the post that inspired this one but I'll tldr - when i was young i was obsessed with argentinian telenovelas and learnt the language through watching them. i used to be semi fluent but because i haven't used it in so long i forgot 🥲
french - learnt it in high school, then forgot about it for many years, and went back to it about a year or so ago through duolingo. i'm planning to learn it officially to become fluent because my husband has french citizenship (through his grandfather and mom, he never lived there) so i can get one too but I'll have to pass a very difficult test. i would also need a third language if I'll do a master's degree so i would go with that (especially since i have a slight obsession with french feminists so it would be the most beneficial for my degree)
german - i learnt it for like a year maybe less lol mostly because of tokio hotel 😂
japanese - back in my jpop days (which weren't that long but i did enjoy learning the language)
korean - i took classes for a while, then stopped, many years later i studied through duolingo but quit. i wouldn't say i know much atm
chinese (mandarin) - back in 2013 i started a degree in east asia studies and the language i learnt was chinese but it was SO difficult and i generally didn't like my degree (and also had depression) so i quit that degree
arabic - i tried a few times tbh, once just spoken and once written/literary but never got the time to actually learn properly. which is a shame, because i think i should.
sign language - i did like two courses in it but i forgot everything

An important part of your permanent residence visa application is to make sure you meet the criteria for approval. Generally, you must prove that you can become economically established in Canada. This means demonstrating that:

It is important to make sure that all the required documents are submitted with your application so that it can be processed in a timely manner. Applicants may be asked for additional documentation as part of their application process.
Choose a Canada Immigration Program
Once you decide that you want to make Canada your permanent home, the first step is to choose the right immigration program. Canada has a number of immigration programs that offer different pathways to permanent residence. You need to research each one and find the one that best fits your goals and qualifications.
Here are some of the most popular programs:
Express Entry: The Express Entry system allows skilled workers from around the world to immigrate to Canada with their families in as little as six months. This system is points-based and applicants are selected based on their skills, education, work experience, language proficiency and other factors.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Each Canadian province and territory has its own PNP program. These allow provinces and territories to select skilled workers for immigration based on their own criteria.
Family Sponsorship: Canadian citizens or permanent residents can sponsor family members who would like to live in Canada permanently.
Take some time to research each program and determine which one is right for you. Once you have chosen a program and assessed your eligibility, you can start the application process!

You'll need to have all the documents ready in order to proceed with your application for a Canada permanent residence visa. To make sure you have everything ready, here's a checklist of the documents you'll need:

Language Ability
You need to prove language ability — either English or French — by providing an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test report or CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) test report, issued within two years of your application.
Education Credential Assessment
The Education Credential Assessment (ECA) is necessary if you’re applying under the Federal Skilled Worker Program or Canadian Experience Class programs. The assessment compares your foreign educational credentials to those earned in Canada and must be issued by one of three organizations approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Police Certificate
If you’re 18 years old or over, you need a police certificate from any country where you’ve lived for more than six months since turning 18 years old. You may also be asked to provide police certificates from other countries where you've lived since turning 18 years old even if it was for less than six months. These certificates show that you don't have a criminal record and must be up-to-date — issued within six months before submitting an application — and if not available, IRCC may accept older certificates as long as

At the end of the interview, the visa officer will make a decision on your PR Visa application. Your decision could be one of three outcomes:
Approved – if approved, you will get a letter in the mail that outlines when and how you should arrive in Canada as a Permanent Resident.
Refused – if refused, you will receive a letter in the mail that outlines why your application was denied and what steps you can take if you wish to appeal your decision.
Put on hold – if put on hold, it means that the visa officer needs more time to review your application before they make their final decision. In this case, they may request additional documents or further clarification before making their final decision.
No matter what outcome is reached at the end of your interview, it's important to remember that applying for a Canada Permanent Residence Visa can be a long process but with proper preparation and understanding of requirements it can be done successfully!

The most popular program, Express Entry, requires a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency.
Step 2: Get Your Educational Credentials Assessed
You must have your educational credentials assessed by a designated organization to ensure they are equivalent to Canadian standards. The most common organizations for Indian applicants are:
- World Education Services (WES)
- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS)
- Comparative Education Service (CES)
Step 3: Take a Language Proficiency Test
Proficiency in English or French is a critical component of the Express Entry system. You need to take an approved language test such as:
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) for English
- CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) for English
- TEF Canada (Test d'évaluation de français) for French
Ensure you achieve the required Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores to maximize your CRS points.
Step 4: Create an Express Entry Profile
Once you have your educational credential assessment and language test results, you can create an Express Entry profile. This profile will require detailed information about your:
- Personal details
- Education
- Work experience
- Language proficiency
- Other relevant information
Your profile will be scored based on the CRS, and if your score meets the cutoff for a particular draw, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR.
Step 5: Gather Supporting Documents
After receiving an ITA, you need to gather and submit various supporting documents, including:
- Valid passport
- Educational credential assessment report
- Language test results
- Proof of work experience (reference letters, employment contracts)
- Proof of funds
- Police clearance certificates
- Medical examination results
Ensure all documents are accurate and translated into English or French if necessary.
Step 6: Submit Your PR Application
Submit your complete application through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) portal. Pay the application fees, which include processing fees and the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF).
Step 7: Wait for Processing and Decision
The processing time for PR applications can vary, but it generally takes around six months for Express Entry applications. During this period, IRCC may request additional information or documents.
Step 8: Receive Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR)
If your application is approved, you will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a PR visa (if applicable). You will need these documents to complete your landing in Canada.
Step 9: Landing in Canada
Upon arrival in Canada, you must present your COPR and PR visa to the immigration officer at the port of entry. Once processed, you will officially become a Canadian permanent resident.
Tips for a Successful Application
- Ensure Accuracy: Double-check all information and documents to avoid errors or omissions.
- Meet Deadlines: Adhere to all deadlines for submitting documents and responding to IRCC requests.
- Stay Updated: Keep informed about any changes in immigration policies or procedures.
