Like yes, rue is acting in their own self interest, but their own interest has always been to foster genuine connection and love. Everyones talking about the potential bad that their choice might have lead to without talking about the good it actually did cause, like Grabalba getting to meet fable, someone she actually likes. The goblin court was already generally disliked, rue absolving their political engagement didn't change that. And the marriage itself wasn't for the benift of the lower fey within the court. It was so the king and his heirs could consolidate more power for the sake of power. That's why Rue keeps asking Hobbs "for what?" What is the point of his obligation? What is the point of this power? Who and what are they using this power for? There are structural issues within the goblin court and Rues actions didnt worsen them but revealed them. Anyway, this is my grumpy way of saying that Rue has had some of the most revolutionary thoughts on power and heiarchy within the show and I don't think they get near enough credit for that.
Reminder to self: no matter how much you think the quiet car isn't any different from general coach. IT IS. The seats ARE slightly comfier. The people ARE less annoying. The train ride IS less bumpy. Take these truths into your hear and just get in the fucking quiet car next time.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
one of the most infuriating things about becoming an adult is when you realize that it actually is 10x easier to solve problems by making a phone call vs literally any other communication method
the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
