Taking Wing: The Rito

Floating high above Hyrule is a cluster of sky islands, or skylands. This aerial archipelago is home to the Rito, along with many species of flying-type pokémon. Some of these pokémon are found no where else in the world; and many more migrate to the skylands to breed, out of reach of most predators.

The highest skyland is the roost of Rayquaza, whom the Rito credit with granting their ancestors the power of flight. Traditionally, Rito fledgelings must journey to Rayquaza’s roost to receive the divine pokémon’s blessing, along with one of their scales, before getting their first pokémon.

I think more people (me) should stop using Ravens and other corvids to act as omen's of death when doing a symbolism and start using Pīwakawaka as omens of the death instead.

You may not like it, but this is what peak death omen looks like.

I fully can’t remember if I ever posted all of these lol, but Pokémon au designs! My v3 Pokémon au takes place in the Johto region (hence everyone’s teams being only kanto and johto Pokémon) and focuses on Maki, Shuichi, and Kaito journeying around battling rivals (Himiko and Kaede), defeating Team Rocket (Kokichi and Gonta), and taking on the gym leaders (the rest of the cast)!

Random thing I feel nostalgic about: that period of time after Sylveon was revealed but before the Fairy Type was when people couldn't figure out what the fuck Sylveon's Type was so they came up with crazy speculation/theories + the memes and fan art about it

#salamence #THIS one is a good one. someone else mentioned the chin and claimed they look like lord farquaad. and would say “why YES this is Divine” and #i didn't like how accurate that was. anyway dragon/flying 4x weakness to ice my belovèd. if anyone says ice is bad #keep in mind how much of the competitive landscape it totally nullifies. ice is like. probably my second favorite type. behind electric #even though none of this is about salamence. they've got the whole primary colors thing going on but minus yellow #red and blue. red white and blue. american pokémon? big red wings that're just Flat. i really dunno what's happening here i just know it's #supposed to be really good in competitive. and also they got a paradox form which i Guess TPC is trying to market as totally new unrelated #pokémon but i'm always going to call them “paradox hariyama” and such instead of ~iron hands~ or whatever they're supposed to be called #don't want my pokémon names to have two words in them……
