I will never be normal about how zoro can't seem to take his eyes off his captain like even though luffy is stronger than him?? Like i've talked about this many many times before (probably) but the way he keeps an eye on luffy, making sure that luffy is okay??? Zoro and his luffy-oriented brain i swear... like how he is always trying to make sure that his captain is fine 24/7, i'm just-

Like for example, when he is waiting/looking out for luffy's arrival in jaya arc. (Also happened in adventure of nebulandia!)

Or him keeping an eye on luffy in punk hazard. Watching his captain from a perfect & safe distance.

Or it's also about how zoro likes to check on his captain. Voicing his concern, making sure that nothing is wrong with his captain by directly asking luffy about it (if he notices anything unusual from luffy)

Also thinking about zoro and his priority when it comes to luffy (luffy aka his number one priority, really)

Zoro and his worry wart side when it comes to his 'idiot' captain (tbh if i have to put all the panels (from the manga) for every time zoro worries about his beloved captain here, i don't think i can, cause it's zoro)

Like i just think it is crazy how much he cares for his captain, like yeah every single one of the strawhats are like that too, but with zoro it is very visible every. single. time. Like oda really shoved it into our face?? like yeah, zolu my absolute beloved<333

Y’all maybe I am just the biggest Sanji apologist (simp) out there but I finished the Fishman Island Arc and…he wasn’t that bad??

Maybe everyone just made it seem so horribly unbearable that I was bracing myself for even worse.

Was he out of pocket? Cringey? A little pathetic, even? Yes. But isn’t that what we kind of like about Sanji? I mean, I personally like him for all those reasons and because I think he’s just a heart-eyed little dork.

A lot of what happens to Sanji, especially in the beginning of the arc, sets up plot points for the rest of arc. And to be fair to him, those mermaids kind of were into him too tbh.

Did I roll my eyes more times than I can count? Yes. Is it my favorite arc for Sanji? No. But it wasn’t so terrible either. Idk, maybe I’m just here to support Sanji rights and Sanji wrongs lol.

this is insane! zoro wasn't even at the first discussion where luffy said he doesn't want to be a hero, with his whole "heroes had to share their food" analogy, yet later he repeated almost the same words.

at that time zoro was locked in the ryugu castle in the cage dangling above water with usopp and brook, when luffy and jimbei had this discussion (chapter 634):

and then at the end of fishman island arc, as they're leaving (escaping), zoro explaing in almost the same words to princess shirahoshi why that thought of being a hero makes him feel sick, bc that'd mean he had to share his drinks (chapter 649):

Just a fun little idea I had: What if Luffy grew little tusks after the blood transfusion?

I know that's not really how it works since fishman and humans have the same blood but it's a fun little idea. After Jinbei gave Luffy some of his blood so he wouldn't die it'd be fun if he grew little tusks. I think Luffy would be a little freaked out at first and then absolutely love it because he can tear into meat more viciously with them.

Luffy: *feels better about his tusks because they help him tear into meat more*

His crew: That's Luffy 🙄

Wanted to get down some thoughts about Fishman Island and Wano, a country of the Sun and a country of the Moon, and how they are strongly interconnected in many ways. Thematically, narratively, the casts of each arc, and more.

Luffy goes to destroy the Noah/Onigashima, Shirahoshi/Momo use their abilities to prevent that in their own ways.

Joy Boy is first mentioned during Fishman Island, and Luffy awakens his devil fruit in Wano Both countries have an ancient weapon.

The characters wear kimonos in both places. Jinbei's Sun Pirate tattoo is on his chest, the Kozuki Clan have their tattoos on their backs.

From Fishman Island to Wano, Jinbei and Kin'emon/Momo are never in the same place until Act 3, always switching back and forth who is in arcs.

Luffy saying this reminds me of him telling Kin'emon that he will put Wano on his back and fight for them. Would Luffy feel that he failed to protect the samurai?
