@raffaelbader In Raffael Bader’s paintings, which are largely characterized by landscape, he considers his view of a world full of tensions while these hold the world together. He pursues a nature that consists of structures that strive for harmony on a chaotic breeding ground; in the same way he understands us humans and our social interactions. In the process of creating an image, he looks for what presents itself to him as core elements of this nature. He finds this in landscapes and their colors, shapes and lines, which awaken longings in us while simultaneously containing the subtle presence of danger. Images emerge that originate from reality. However, not the one that is currently being experienced, but the reality that forms in himself over time, manifesting itself in his paintings. The forms found, move between strong abstraction and familiar structures. Because of his understanding of the allegory between nature and social behavior, he subtly treats his own social interactions in his painting. Artist, Künstler SEAK Claus Winkler: Für mich ist alles malen, egal welches Medium, welche Technik ich nutze. Was mir beim malen gefällt, mir gefällt ganz viel beim malen, ist das im Sessel sitzen und malen. Wenn es für meinen Prozess optimaler wäre im Atelier zu stehen, würde mir das gefallen. Ich mag was mir was nützt. Seit ein paar Jahren besitzt mich mein Arbeits Schaffens Prozess, meine Mal Rotation. Ich muss um die Gemälde zu einem guten Abschluss zuführen, und in Meisterwerke zu verwandeln immer detaillierter malen. Ich male meine Details mit Sprühpistole, und dann mit ganz feinen Pinseln. Ich lebe mittlerweile in der Akzeptanz das dieser Teil des Mal Prozess ein lange dauert. Um mein
malen, das lange sitzen beim malen auszuhalten mache Ich mittlerweile viel Sport. Mein Anspruch ist meine Bilder selber Zunamen, und das man sieht das die Gemälde von mir selbst gemalt sind. Jeder Arbeitschritt. Dadurch entsteht bei meiner Malerei, meinem Ouevre eine natürliche Rarität und Limitierung. Je optimaler das Bild, das Gemälde ist, je optimaler sind meine Gefühle, und Gedanken. Oft mag Ich meine Gemälde auch wenn Sie nach meinen hohen Maßstäben Meisterwerke sind nicht. Maurice Prendergast (American, 1858 – 1924) Beach at St. Malo ca. 1907 Oil on canvas, 36.8 x 44.5 cm Carmen Thyssen Collection • #Repost @paintings_i_love № 3205 Prendergast, who enjoyed swimming, depicted the seashore in countless paintings from Revere Beach or Gloucester in Massachusetts to St. Malo in France. Prendergast loved the sea, and at times, as he was attempting a water cure to alleviate his deafness, his pleasure in bathing took on an almost hedonistic quality. "To take off one's clothes and lay full stretched on the sand exposed to the wind and the sun is the finest sensation I know on a spring day. Even in cold days in March one little realizes the penetrating force of the sun on the body." Although Prendergast had visited St. Malo during his 1891-1894 stay in Paris and also in 1914, it was his two-month summer visit in 1907 that inspired most of his canvases. St. Malo, situated on the Brittany Coast, had at the time a little more than ten thousand inhabitants. Prendergast was obviously attracted by the coastal town with "its high tides and ramparts, " where he painted such landmarks as the lighthouse and Chateaubriand's Tomb, but it was the fine sandy beach with its colourful bathing tents that attracted him the most.
