looking @ old fic i started when i was 14/15 is so funny bc im realizing once again why i never mark fics as abandoned even if its been literal years since i've touched them. specifically i was checking docs for stuff i started and either did or didn't post to ffn.

and its like. nothing is bad??? like i can see where my outside-the-box ideal of fic writing comes from. not just fics but writing in general, i'm p sure. even if it's a total cliche plot setup, there are details on each that rly make it stand out like oh yeahhhhhh i did have this great idea once upon a time.

funny too bc was it executed well in prose??? no absolutely not i wrote like shit when i was 15. would i revive an idea one day and revise it to be less cliche or cringy while still keeping the stand-out elements??? yea maybe. i might. everything i'm currently working on that i started from 2021 up to now still holds my supreme interest, but like i'm not gonna say never.

esp since i write fic first and foremost for my own need and specifically what i like to read, it makes it impossible to consider an idea i've thought extensively about "not worth writing anymore". anyway not making this too long i jus found everything interesting to consider

Adding on to this post, N is stated to be 20 in the wiki, but whether this is in BW or B2W2 is unclear (according to the interview they are citing).

My personal interpretation of the BW story is that they are 16-18. (I also believe that they get together only after B2W2) (at least 19-21 years old at that point).

I totally agree with you that anybody that ships them with the ages 14 and 20 is gross. I also believe that there are multiple interpretations of these characters, and that some dynamics don’t work romantically.

My stand on Ishhushiping is simple (it can work with Ferriswheel shiping too), canonically they have only two years of a age cap, that's nothing especially since they wouldn't see each other again after BW 2 where they would both be adult anyway, it's only a two year age gap and N has less experience of the world then Hilbert, he also has no power over him

I don't know why but I just ship it, I am very much an Anti, I don't know why you would ship a minor and an adult or people from the same family, that's just gross, and this type of fiction can affect reality, just see all the grooming in some communities where such content is normalized

So I yeah support Isshushiping

If you actually think that Hilbert is 14 and N 20, and you still ship them, I am gonna fucking maul you to death

and yeah, i try to update that post whenever more info arises because it is a concern i take very seriously, and i want people to have as much context and evidence as they can before deciding what to make of ferriswheel/isshu, and a lot of that just wasnt easily available before. especially with how rare and expensive copies of the actual games are these days!!

anyway, at the moment... i dont exactly have any finished writing i can show off, unfortunately! ive been idling away at a couple of slightly tangential pieces that take place way before (like, 3000 years) and a bit after canon that i might be able to post soon. but, i plan to commit to the bw novelization in the near future!

A random thought: I wonder what name would the original dragon from Unovan lore have? Maybe it'll be called Kyurem Complete form.

An unpopular opinion: Idk if this counts as an unpopular opinion, but I don't like Kyurem White's design. It looks like an ugly over complicated mess.

My canon OTP: There's not much in terms of canon ships. I guess Lenora and her husband is kind of cute. They both curate Nacrene City's museum together.

My non-canon OTP: Pick any of ships that I listed as my favourites lol.

Pairing I am not a fan of: Ferriswheel and Isshu. I never liked both of these pairings. In my opinion, Hilda and Hilbert have a close friendship with N. They're just friends! I also feel uncomfortable shipping teenagers with an adult.

Most Badass Character: N! I liked how in B2W2, he swooped in on his legendary dragon to stop Ghetsis and Kyurem from freezing Rosa/Nate solid.

Most Epic Villain: Ghetsis! I liked his scheme of using pokemon liberation as a facade for his intentions of ruling all of Unova.

Character I feel that the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Hugh's little sister! She doesn't even have a name or unique character sprite. There's no dialogue about how much she misses her Purrloin. I'm not invested in finding Hugh's sister's Purrloin because I don't know anything about their relationship besides the fact that Purrloin was a gift from her late grandfather.

Favourite Friendship: Hilda, Hilbert, Cheren and Bianca's friend group. Also Rosa and Nate's friendship with Hugh.

Character I most identify with: Bianca. I find her character arc very relatable.

Character I wish I could be: Idk if I want to be any of them.

Leroy of course had to set him up... asking to meet him at an amusement parc and in the end he ditched him and asked Mizuki to come instead... he knew how much Mellow had a crush on her still it kept Mellow in a constant state of worry... he did follow her to most rides but still it was hard for him to even talk to her... knowing he was lost in thought she gripped his hand firmly causing him to Blush...

"Mellow we need to stick together or else we will be lost."

His heart beat fast as he just shyly nodded...

"O-ok... I'll follow."

"Lets go to the ferriswheel... you seem a bit like you need a rest."

And so as if their hands were glued together Mellow followed after her the rest of the day not growing any less red.

Carol was reading in the gardens as Damien noticed her... trying to get the attention away from her book he looked over it at her causing her a light scare.

"Ah... don't surprise me like that... "

She packed her book away as he offered his hand..

"Well how about a little break walking through the rose garden with me... you already read enough."

She blushed a little and took his hand in hers...

"Alright I think I have time... let's leave."

And so she followed after him walking hand in hand through the rose garden together... chatting and his charm catching her off guard as usual. She soon instead wrapped her Arms around his to be closer to him.

Emma sighed... although she was assured about her decision she was still a bit nervous how her fans will accept her change... she before the concert walked around up and down still thinking what to do... Asahi noticed so he came to visit her backstage and as she sat down he leaned his hand on hers.

"You will do well... you can finally show them who you really are..."

She smiled back at him... he was right... finally she wasn't trapped by her old label and could sing what she wanted... just him assuring her gave her energy to show them what she is made off.

While I try to avoid discourse and ultimately I’m That Bitch who ships the problematic ships anyway, I’m forever thrown how IsshuShipping (and FerrisWheelS by extension) have somehow become iffy when they were The Ships when BW first came out. And also how even while playing the actual game itself, N seems older, but still roughly similar in age to the protag. Just insane to me how they somehow have been interpreted to having a dicey age gap despite not even kind of having that vibe when you play the actual games 🤦‍♀️

Festival and Ferry 🌷 🦜 🫖 ⛴ 🛋

It was after orchestra practice today, Frilly was out of her babyseat and in a waiting room. There were a myriad of soft, firm chairs with tall backs. There wasn't anything else in the room, and you couldn't see into the orchestra, from there, neither. You could seat maybe 150 people in here. So, the orchestra and singers fit.

She had on a soft, thick yellow dress. She had fancy, thick, dress shoes, not shiny, with big straps and buckles. Her sleeves were down to her elbows and poofing bigger at the bottom and with long bunched up at the end. There was a big flowing collar. It was still all the yellow. She had poofy thick pants under that gathered with big fabric bleeding out. They were white like her shoes. Her hair was swept, dipped, and tied up, most of the top, and gathered and dressed with hanging strings of white, yellow, and pink she made herself. There were clear jewels on the strings, of the same colors, white yellow, and pink. She had clear jewels of pink as a necklace and 5 bracelets on her left wrist, clear rubbery pink. Her hair was smooth and crimping a the bottom, almost to the middle of her little chest.

She didn't even have one of her big drawstring purses with her or anything. Today was Friday, and there was a festival.

Everyone took a bus to the festival, and lots of people were there and friends. Frilly got a backpack of hers.

First, she went on the bumpers, a terribly boring ride, but she was pretty good, of course.

Next, she was on the ferriswheel with some strangers, another boring one.

She went on the Tilt a Whirl with no problem.

She ate a Polish sausage, an Italian sausage, lemonade, and a funnel cake.

She paid for lots of games and put the prizes in a big drawstring bag she brought.

She "danced to the music."

The orchestra took a bus back.

Andre Rieu waited with the rest of the orchestra and then they went to stay at a hotel in a nearby town by a dock to take a ship the next day to play for a military function the following day.

They got to the hotel. They were so excited. It was a big hotel. There were potted plants all around, shops and things, different kinds of restaurants in the middle, the big grand piano, citrus water and free coffee, a breakfast lounge, a pond of fish, an aviary, a romantic swimming pool with a unique design but pretty big, a pretty big gym, a computer lab and sitting room, a stage for shows out in the middle indoors, a small waterpark, a small lazyriver, etc. They used the facilities the next morning.

Then they had there stuff ready to board, and they were waiting at the dock at the bay. Frilly had on a pink dress with much of her hair tied up and back to the side. She had her little bag of money etc. She had on long poofy sleeves that poof at the bottom and not at the top. There were other people ther etearing and holding each other and staring off into space.

They got onboard.

They were on for a long time, and Frilly did lots of things and was coming out of the chapel after praying the rosary and singing a little. Andre Rieu bent over and held to his arms and she got tired and buckled down and he cam and caught her, as he carried her around resting sleepily in him looking in him. She was bunched up to him with her legs gathered to him. He lifted her up and kissed her and talked to her for awhile. She fell asleep and he brought her down to his room. She woke up and he took care of her, bathed her, changed her, fed her some things, read to her a fairly long story as she lay in him again a little weary and work out sitting into him rather sleepily. He slept her in the bed, as he sat in a chair on his laptop alone. He stepped out, locked the door, bought something good to eat, walked around and talked to some men who weren't smoking, around 9 PM. He went back to his room with some food for his Frilly, woke her to eat at a little table with some music from the radio on from an early non pop music station, lay her against him to watch TV while he talked, let her sleep in her reclined babyseat tucked in well, turned off the light finally and fell asleep. He woke her up, fed her, bathed her, dressed her, fed her breakfast and let her exercise, as he went about his business, as well. He put her in the 2nd chair, as she leaned back and watched a cartoon she bought on a little handheld pad. She studied a little. She went out and walked around the ship.
