Sandman fic recs for Underrated Characters and Ships: Lucienne Edition (part 1)
This is a non-exhuastive list of my personal favorite Lucienne-centric and Morphienne fics and series I've found so far. If you can think of any others I've forgotten don't hesitate to add on!
Okay first off: my friend @pratchettfan87 has written a lovely fic I'm helping beta where Lucienne and her comic counterpart meet and bond and you need to go read it rn You Are The Light That Guides the Way. It's also a great exploration of the events of Sandman from the perspective of both librarians. It's not complete but it's rapidly getting put together so pls go give her encouragement and feedback so you can keep seeing more if you want! I'm gonna try to roughly go in order from most to least nsfw as we go down. Part 2 will contain other ships like Gault x Lucienne and Calliope x Lucienne.
Gen fics
And the Darkness Hummed by @navigatorwrongway - one of my all time absolute favorite Lucienne fics in this fandom, period that delves into her backstory before she even met Dream and takes you on a Journey through her life and it's. Mwah. It's art
nosso amor (our love) by marveling_under_an_open_sky is an achingly tender exploration of Lucienne's trauma and her getting comforted for once.
For Morphienne
Literally everything @cosmictapestry (aka cosmicjourney on AO3) has ever written is an instant recommend from me. Seriously. I can't think of one single thing she's written I didn't like. Heed the tags, but if you're old enough to be interacting with the NSFW stuff and it's your thing, do yourself a favor and dive into their delicious Morphienne smut drabbles on tumblr and the longer stuff on AO3. Go do it right now. It can be emotional and painful but all very well written. And his We Divinity series is heartbreaking and beautiful and with all the characters spot-on and the writing poetry like you've never seen.
and take thee up thy nurse's fee by stellerssong, a selkie!Dream au with wonderful atmosphere
It's About Old Friends by JerseyDragons is sweet and funny and a spot on take on a queerplatonic/sort of romantic version of their dynamic.
Wingmanning for Fun and Profit by unseenbox - is an absolutely adorable look at a Morphienne love confession from Matthew's POV.
Jewel by @softest-punk is super lovely and sweet, pure quality fluff.
Stellerssong's red moon series is a really interesting werewolf au of not just Morphienne but also Corintheus. It's on a slow burn but it's definitely worth it imo.
Also stellerssong's OTHER series "through endless revisions" is just a fantastic take on Daniel!Dream adjusting to his new life and everyone who knew and loved him having to do the same, but the specifically Morphienne standouts are as follows: please come back and be (just a little bit), eutropic, a pillar I am upright , room for one more taste , and for just to suffer that hurt. All of these are well worth the read, most but room for one more taste have angst and smut involved as well as sharp writing and characterization. Seriously can't recommend these enough, these are some of the best of the lot and that's saying something.
Dreams Written in Sand by cunticuss very slow burn but lovely and feels very them.
Woolgathering by sunsorbit is ANOTHER slow burn series full of wonderful characterization and pining and includes the library as an observer and character in itself which I'm always a sucker for.
How Vibrant the Color by unnecessary - unfffff. This is peak poetic emotional therapy dream sex. One of my favorites.
Gold by MDWG aka the most tender sex imaginable.
Contrapposto by stuntmuppet - pure smut. My only complaint is how short it is.

hi i got my ramen shop standee and the arcade machine keychain a while ago and they are AMAZING quality, they arrived just in time for a convention i cosplaued majima at and it was such a fun little addition to my bag. if you don't mind me asking what manufacturer do you use for all your stuff :0? they're super high quality compared to some manufacturers I've seen people recommend
I use vograce! it's not everyone's fav choice from what I gather from various other creators but my personal experiences so far (and I've ordered so much crap lol) is very good. they're a lil pricier than others too but I go to them cuz their products are good, they have a decent moq, and their customer service is very helpful/responsive
if you're interested in acrylic stuff, I would rec them. they have a ton of other products too that I haven't necessarily tried yet but they also offer sample services (sometimes free, sometimes a fee depending on what it is) so that's super helpful. and if you ask em, they'll provide proofs of items before they make em so you can check the art or whatnot (very helpful to make sure they don't make something backwards lol esp if there's text involved)
rn I'm having them test some buttons and I'll be going to them for my booby mousepads too cuz me and a friend collab'd to make some and they turned out very good

enjatoki's horse ranch stuff
I recieved a PM from Mortire over at GOS, instead of me explaining again I'll simply copy-paste the message :-)
Hej vegan_kaktus! I saw a note that enjatoki's tumblr has disappeared, so I zipped up all the files I have from them. The folder with everything where you can pick and choose is here. Here's the link to download everything in one go. Previews and swatches are included. These links include everything kestrelteen's uploaded, with more recolours, so more complete (though I cannot say if it is absolutely everything). For the ranch items, in set part 3 I have included some personal edits of some items to include subsets. I did not have most of the GTW files la fee verte uploaded, so there is minimal overlap with that reupload.
Thank you so much Mortire for re-uploading! Tagging @sims4t2bb :-)
Edit 2023-10-23: got a second message from Mortire!
Hi again. I was in a bit of a hurry earlier, so I forgot one folder of files - ep13-WellTravelledShelves. I have added them to the main download, and as a separate download in the folder. I should also have mentioned that for the four objects I've added subsets to, I have renamed the mesh files, but not the recolour files, though they were also edited to allow for the new subsets. If anyone have these items already, and just want the updated files, it is important to delete the MESH and recolour files you already have so as not to get any duplicate textures. The following information is only relevant for anyone that already have these items and just want to have versions with subsets. The updated objects are: In the folder HorseRanch-PART2: MESH-EnjaToki-4t2ep14-GrandCountryTable (has been updated and renamed to add my name)- remember to remove all files from enjatoki starting with "EnjaToki-4t2ep14-GrandCountryTable-Rec" to avoid any duplicate textures or missing subset recolours. Subset added to allow separate table and table cloth combinations. In the folder HorseRanch-PART3: MESH-EnjaToki-4t2ep14-RanchDudeHangingClothes (has been updated and renamed to add my name)- remember to remove all files from enjatoki starting with "EnjaToki-4t2ep14-RanchDudeHangingClothes-" to avoid any duplicate textures or missing subset recolours. Subset added to allow separate shelf and clothes combinations. MESH-EnjaToki-4t2ep14-RanchDudetteHangingClothes (has been updated and renamed to add my name)- remember to remove all files from enjatoki starting with "EnjaToki-4t2ep14-RanchDudetteHangingClothes-" to avoid any duplicate textures or missing subset recolours. Subset added to allow separate shelf and clothes combinations. MESH-EnjaToki-4t2ep14-TheWesternPanscape (has been updated and renamed to add my name)- remember to remove all files from enjatoki starting with "EnjaToki-4t2ep14-TheWesternPanscape-" to avoid any duplicate textures or missing subset recolours. Subset added to allow separate wooden boards and pans combinations.

I wasn't going to send anything i swearrrrr i sat on my hands for a whole half an hour and then i just... i can only apologise for my lack of self control and the apparent hold this man has on me 🤷🏻‍♀️
ANYWAY: choose your fighter (for cyclone obvs)
“Lieutenant, I recommend you get your hands off my girl.”
OR
"I swear if you don't stop picking on my man, so help me God."
Hot!Daddy or Girl!Boss
SWEETIE!!!! Please keep sending me stuff
The things you have awoken in me with these!!! I have chosen my fighter: "Lieutenant, I recommend you get your hands off my girl."
(Tw. Harassement? Borderline sexual harassement?)
So, the way I'm imagining it goes down is you've had a day, I mean nothing has gone right today. Mav shot you down within a minute of you going up, your lunch was subpar, the coffee machine broke right as you were going to get a cup and worst of all was that one of the Lieutenants they had transferred into the dagger squad just couldn't get the fucking message. I mean you had tried everything, from outright telling him you weren't interested to bending his fingers back into his hands so far that they almost broke and still Lt. Connors would not leave you alone. He'd run his hand up your thigh when no one else was looking, played with your hair in class whenever he managed to snatch the seat behind you and even went so far as to steal your lunch so you'd be forced to talk to him.
You came home cranky and grossed out and you barely even called Beau anymore, not because of anything he did or wasn't doing to help the situation, because you hadn't told him, but because you had spent so much of your day being unconsensually touched that even being consensually touched seemed like a fucking nightmare.
This was all very confusing to Beau, obviously, and he got entirely the wrong message, he thought you were INTO Lt. Connors! And let me tell you, if possessive Beau is bad and unpleasant, heartbroken Beau is worse. He was snapping, shouting, reprimanding and being extra harsh on Mav, I mean everyone noticed. So, for the sake of everyone on base, Hondo gathered up his courage and had a word with Beau.... you can imagine how that went... but it did make Admiral Simpson seek you out.
Beau walked down to the rec room where most of the dagger team had already left. You and Connors were still there, although if your expression of intense uncomfortability was anything to go by, you were not there by choice.
The Admiral felt a surge of fury wash over him, "Lieutenant, I recommend you get your hands off my girl" he spat out at the younger man, sending him a glare that would have anyone running away crying.
At first, you didn't even register what he said, you were way too grateful that he put a stop to the sheer hell you had been living in these past few weeks and a little ashamed that you hadn't managed to stop it yourself. But as he hugged you and you started to fee safe again, it slowly dawned on you that Beau had essentially made you public.
"It's part of my job to keep you safe. In the air and on the ground, baby. So if anything makes you feel uncomfortable, you come to me. I keep my girl safe, yeah?" He said, "and if I have to tell the world you're my girl to do that, than that's what I'll do."

Hi do you have any recs from where to buy affordable tools, like essential oils , crystals and other necessary stuff (for witchcraft ofc)
Tumblr media
Ah, cheapery. My third favorite hobby, beside spending money on things.
Firstly:
Essential oils are NOT necessary for witchcraft. They are medicine, have the potential to damage you severely (both immediately and in long-term damage), and are NOT better and more effective than just using the herbs they are manufactured from. You shouldn't be thinking about essential oils or considering them for your toolkit without herbalism education from a reputable school or licensed herbalist and paper research about each herb you use under your belt.
Moving on.
No physical item in witchcraft is essential. You could go into your kitchen cabinet and begin bespelling your home without paying anything. People like owning things, because sparklies are fun and we're all magpies at heart, but neither crystals nor tools are necessary to the craft- and some argue that they're not even backed by research into historic traditions and what ancient practitioners might have used. A lot of the tools people think are "essential" are specific to Wicca or introduced via the new age movement, which was only...what, 70 years ago now? There are certain paths which require certain tools, and religions and folk religions that require certain things to function, but unless you are in one and getting instructions from your teacher/mentor/godparent, you're not required to buy anything. We're Anti-capital here. Money is the enemy and dirt is our friend.
So, that being said, a few recommendations:
The thrift shop. Want an athame? Bell? Candle stand? Spoon? Find a pretty silver thing and consecrate it. Nothing in life has to be new when it gets to you, as long as you cleanse it well.
Your local kids museum will have cheap crystals at discount prices. The natural history museum told me then genuinely sell them by weight. You can't guarantee their ethical background that way (a lot of cheap rocks are mined with enslaved labor), but you can get your rocks.
If you can get to a rock and crystal show, rarer and harder to find crystals go cheap in there, but you do have to pay a flat fee to enter so it's kind of a financial wash in the end. It's fun though. They sell empanadas at my closest one.
Your local supermarket. Unless you're using bulk herbs by the bucket, which seems wasteful, you can usually get herbs and pre-packed larger quantities of herbs from the spice section in your supermarket. And this way they're guaranteed to be food grade and safe to consume or bathe with, which is never a guarantee when you pick something up from the metaphysical shop.
eBay and other secondhand sites. People leave the craft all the time, and hawk their stuff for cheap. A little Dr. Bronner's, a little sacred perfume or incense, and she's good as new.
Indian and other Asian grocery stores. When I'm down and in some trouble, I know they have my back. Thank you for carrying incense on the shelf when I needed you the most. And having bulk rice.
Local swap. Networking is everything! Sometimes local covens will host events where people get together to sell off old things or swap stuff. Good times to find a pre-loved tarot deck or altar cloth.
Your hands! *grabby hand gesture* Some stuff you can make. I have an old sewing machine, and I love her to death; I make storage pockets and altar cloths with her. I crochet altar cloths. Some people make their own candles. I know someone who learned glass-making to make their own altar pieces. Some hobbies are more expensive than others, but a crochet hook is like $3 and yarn can be like $4. Bam. Altar mat.
Speaking of candles, I forgot to mention the dollar tree and other discount stores have cheap candles: some even have the tall glass pillars you need if you're in one of the ATR diasporic traditions.
Quite frankly, my best investment in witchcraft tools I ever made was watching my mother buy an antique silver serving spoon, which I occasionally filch from her drawer and return after it's done it's job. Borrowing things from your family costs nothing.
I'm sure this wasn't what you had in mind, but (and not to be a weird adult who has a poor relationship with the internet here), sometimes you have to go out there and physically touch things before you find what's right for you. Find a thrift store. A secondhand shop. A goodwill. Browse. What could you use this in? What spells can you piggyback off of this thing you found? What use does this have in your craft? Try not to build your craft off of your tools; build your toolkit to support what you want to do with your craft. That way you won't have wasted time and money on a fun thing people said was essential to have! ...but now you never use this selenite wand you spent $30 on because you found out wands don't have a place in your practice. Blech.
Best of luck hunting! 💜✨

so, you wanna buy merch but you don't wanna give hybe money: a beginner's guide to the resale market
hi, friends! your friendly secondhand buyer/seller here to help anyone who may be participating in the hybe boycotts or just want some help navigating the merch resale markets.
(i am US-based, so hopefully people from other countries can reblog and chime in with where they buy from!)
as a general psa: none of these sites are foolproof. there is always a possibility of getting scammed and/or ripped off. i would recommend having a general baseline knowledge of what certain items are worth and what they look like, especially photocards. you do not want to pay any amount of money for a fake card. it's also helpful to get a general idea of pricing, because member pricing is absolutely a thing as well as listing items for 5x the cost just to see if someone will pay it. additionally, you do not have to and should not feel obligated to spend any amount of money on k-pop, which has a severe issue with overconsumption and is generally terrible for the environment. you are still a fan if you have no merch. you are still a fan if you don't stream. you are still a fan if you're participating in boycotts. i know it's easy to get caught up in the hype of a new merch release for your favorite group and feel like you need to buy it immediately, so this guide is here to show you there are options beyond giving hybe money the second items are announced.
mercari (us) — probably one of the most popular online marketplaces for k-pop merch. very easy to both buy and sell on here. pros: decent to good protections for both buyers and sellers, especially for items that get lost or damaged in transit (however, this depends on which shipping cost/label the seller chooses; free shipping generally comes with no insurance) and lots of options. you can also make offers on prices. cons: fees (these used to be paid for by the seller but are now paid for by the buyer) and sometimes ridiculous listing prices. see psa above.
social media (insta, reddit, facebook, etc.) — i don't buy from these places often, but they're generally popular for a reason. there are a ton of selling hashtags on insta you can look through (usually #membernamewts, #groupnamewts, etc.), and r/kpopforsale is one of the bigger communities on reddit. i do not go on facebook, so if anyone has any trusted recs pls share! pros: generally cheaper because no one has to pay any fees. lots of options. tons of GOs for overseas items to help on shipping costs. cons: check proofs for whoever you buy from! the above psa once again applies. there's no recourse if you get scammed, you're just sol.
overseas proxy sites (japan & korea) — these can seem intimidating at first, so if anyone's interested i can do a separate guide, but they're super easy to use once you get the hang of it. if you want to shop on japanese sites like mercari, rakuten, etc., there are a bunch of proxy sites that will buy and store the items for you then ship to the us: buyee & neokyo are the two i'm most familiar with. you can use delivered korea if you want to buy from a korean site like bunjang. pros: prices are generally cheaper and stuff that's rare in the us (i.e. country-exclusive merch, photocards, etc.) is easier to get your hands on. idk about the other sites, but buyee often has coupons you can apply to listing prices and/or fees. they also used to send out a free shipping coupon for first-time buyers, so hold out for that. cons: fees and shipping costs. because you're using a proxy, you will pay a service fee on top of the item cost (usually a few dollars). additionally, shipping costs are generally much higher and are based on weight and size, so what looks like an $8 photocard becomes $11 with fees and then costs $30 to ship. these sites are best used as part of group orders so shipping costs can be split, if you're ordering enough to justify higher shipping, or if the item price + shipping is still cheaper than you can find it domestically.
how do i get a general idea of price? it seems cliche to say, but just... time and experience. the more you peruse the resale markets, the better of an idea you'll get for what items are worth. if something seems high, it probably is! don't blind-buy the first listing you see, either! keep shopping around for different prices or be patient for a good deal. if you're shopping on mercari, favorite the item — if it isn't selling right away, sellers often send offers or drop the price.
just some general notes: you can truly find almost anything you're looking for out there: photocards, dvds, albums, plush toys, etc. albums are super easy to find secondhand for dirt cheap since most collectors are after the photocards. same with new-ish dvds. you're not gonna find memories of 2016 cheap, but i recently bought mems21 without the photocard for $15.
i have bought and sold a ton on mercari and buyee specifically, so please reach out if you have any questions! <3

Idk if this helps but I listened to the Tim Minear podcast. He doesn't really say much about 911 (or 911LS) (they talk about movies, music, theatre, writing generally and his other shows) (imo i would not recommend anyone waste an hour of their time...most of the stuff below is from after 50 mins in 🙃 it also didn't seem like the host was overally familiar with 911, he'd just seen s1-2).
The only things I found may be of note for those interested:
When asked what he gets sick of being asked, he said he gets sick of people "hammering" him about particular relationships they want on his shows and when they get mad at him with "why can't you put this person with this person". (....😵‍💫🥲 timestamp 58:50)
He pleads the fifth on a question about 911 spin offs. No new info on this.
They speak about how amazing Angela Basset is for a about a minute. He says that her and Gina Torres are the most wonderful people.
The host says Jennifer Love Hewitt has star power - Tim agrees.
No other actors are mentioned from 911 (or LS).
He doesn't speak about the future of the shows or anything like that, just refers to some old 911 storylines quickly (they speak about the gore and he jokes about the grossness of the tapeworm for example, and later the colostomy bag guy).
He says music licensing fees on 911 are expensive. It is not uncommon for one episode of 911/LS to have a licensing budget of $100-200k.
The host asks about the 118 firehouse and the actors having to duck the beams. He said it's dangerous to walk around the location of the firehouse rec room because the beams upstairs are so low.
The host asks if bottle episodes are a fun challenge. Tim says he thinks people have a misunderstanding of bottle episodes. Their purpose is to save money. He thinks it turns out better when you are genuinely forced to do it.
The host asks why sexual content is so censored on his shows/American television and not gore. Tim thinks pretend sex on tv is "boring" and not interesting - he likes gore and violence (though notes he's had to reel it back on the 911 shows).
The host says 911 is kinda camp. Tim agrees and says what's great about 911 is that it can go from ridiculous to heartfelt and adventurous. He says they often joke about the 118 covering every inch of LA.
Oh, thank you!!

Hii!! I’m in love with your writing!! I’m not good at navigating tumblr (it’s so confusing ╥﹏╥) I wanted to know if you have other account/story reccs similar to the ones you write? I just can’t get enough of fantasy Konig, you’ve been feeding me so well these past few days bahaha I’m greedy for more stories like that ^^;
hi! hi!! raaah thank you so very much!! <3 (it still baffles me a bit that people? enjoy? the silly little König stories that i write hehe)
and oh gosh… i do not get enough quiet time to read as much as i would like to, and there are just so many talented folks in the cod community. everyone has so many refreshing ideas and beautiful words, but please accept this (tiny) fantasy rec list!!
please please please read Kingdom Come by wordstome. the dynamic between König and reader in this is one of my absolute favorites. No spoilers, but there are so many original plot points and elements in this work. Bucca is a master at just. making you feel at home with her characters. and König in this??? i would chew through my own arm like a coyote in a trap just to get one chance to kiss him. & her nutcracker prince au?? pure whimsy.
though Fatum Nos Iungebit by kneelingshadowsalome is a historical au there are some fantasy/mythological elements there. König even calls us ‘Fee’ (fairy). i simply felt as though i found god reading this. it is so beautiful and so well put together. i can not even begin to articulate just how lovely this story is and just how every little thing holds weight. also everything in her satyr!König tag my GOD. i love him.
also i know there’s a LOT of eldritch! König stuff but I’ve yet to read any of it grr ))•:
if anyone else knows of any others please comment!!
i would like to read more too! <:•)

When I was a kid, I used to spend what felt like several hours a week at the public library. My parents took the library seriously--our town didn't actually have its own library so we had to go to the next one over and pay a fee for our household to get cards. And we went all the time, because my sister and I were homeschooled through most of elementary school so we could do that. I don't actually have any memory of what my mom did while we were there--as far as I can remember she just disappeared and let me do what I wanted as long as I was quiet.
The children's librarian was one of my favorite grownups and always had book recs for me, but my very favorite thing to do was to wander into the adult stacks and sit on the floor of the sci fi/fantasy section and take interesting books off the shelves and open them in the middle to read them for awhile and then put them back.
Keep in mind I was like, maybe in 3rd or 4th grade.
There was some weird stuff in there. Whenever I see people freaking out about what sort of reading material children can have access to (both the ones wanting to ban books at school libraries and the ones who want to ban certain types of fics on AO3) I remember all the graphic violence and rape and body horror I stumbled across as a small child loose in a public library. But also, of course, there were all the wonders of authors exploring all the different ways that people and worlds could be.
I was just remembering this because I read Shards of Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold this weekend (the fandom has some surprising overlaps with some others I'm in, so I decided to check it out) and it felt like the kind of sci fi novels I used to read on the floor of the library when I was a kid--just non stop adventure-violence-wonder-scheming-atrocities-romance etc (not necessarily in that order). It starts with two enemies trying to cooperate to survive in a hostile landscape, with the classic 'oh no he's hot' (and a good person!) and then just accelerates from there. It was so much fun, but then it also had that last chapter that reminded me of all the parts of Record of a Spaceborn Few that made me cry my eyes out. So, you know. It's got a lot going on. I liked it.
Tl;dr: kids are going to read what they want, libraries are great, but I'm a little disappointed in mine that it only has a couple volumes of Vorkosigan Saga.

hi! I have a med marijuana question if u could give any insight? If that’s okay? I’m thinking about asking a psychiatrist I’ve never been to yet if they do recs but people say never to mention drug use to them so I’m a bit afraid that it’ll have bad consequences for me. I’m unsure how else to get it that doesn’t cost a lot and I’m unable to go to my pcp about it. Speciality clinics and online stuff cost way too much .. is this a bad idea?
I personally would not ask a psych for a rec. They can completely change your treatment plan based on the "influence" of drugs on your behavior if it's in your record. This could be very risky if you're put in a position where you may have your mental status questioned and put on a hold. If you wanted to inquire, I would try to do so anonymously to protect your chart integrity and not be labeled as a drug seeker.
That being said, I have also been told many times not to mention drug use to your psych- but I am in a unique situation with my use with my GI problems being so severe that I have told my psychiatrist about it due to it being a crucial antiemetic for me. I recognize that this could be a risk in determining my mental status.
This isn't the greatest option but you may just have to save up for a specialty clinic or online consult. At least in the US, those typically have the state registration fees included.

hi, planning a trip to LA this fall for my wife and I and was wondering if you had any recs/must dos? Going to stay around Universal and spend 1 day there but still have 3 more days to fill. Hikes for sure but still trying to figure out which trails and of course there is the typical stuff (Santa Monica Pier, In n Out, etc.) but from what I read online from locals it's like, stay *away* from the tourist traps and Chinatown isn't worth it... IDK we aren't post for the gram people, but it seems like walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame would just be a nice stop?
tldr: trying to figure out what tourists traps are worth it and which hidden gems there are 😅
This is actually a great list because I've done some of these things when in LA, and it explains it better and provides additional recs that even I'd love to do next time I'm there but haven't had time yet:
I'd also like to add El Matador in Malibu as a beautiful beach spot to visit.
Cha Cha Chicken in Santa Monica is a fave food spot I like to hit when I'm in town for Caribbean food (it's own by a friend of a friend). It's near the pier so check it out if you get a chance. I've not been there in a couple years so hopefully it hasn't fallen off, haha...
Petit Ermitage is a hotel in West Hollywood that has the most amazing rooftop areas with amazing views. Not sure if it costs to get up there if you aren't staying there... I know they have a membership fee but people take meetings up there, so... maybe you can get it/up there if you call ahead to find out.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art is fun to just go stroll around, touristy or not.
I think mostly just anything in downtown Hollywood is gonna feel super touristy and like the Times Square equivalent of LA, haha. So.
Anyway, either way I hope you find lots to do and have fun!!!
P.S. Any permanent LA residents feel free to chime in!
