Filler post

I saw a picture of a cat nudging it’s head on a goldne retriever and thought it was cute. Then I drew this. Also because I wanted to draw dragons again. Also because I don’t think I’ve post what Fathen looks like.

So here he is, he’s younger than Freya by a few hundred years so he’s not really big. Then again, my dragons don’t really stop growing, so even if he is Freya’s size in the future, she’ll be a bit bigger than she was lol.

When our household was hit by Covid-19

Writing in progress….

There are 6 of us in the household.

3 adults (all vaccinated) - Ram(husband), myself, our helper

3 children - R1 (6 yrs old), R2 (5yrs old) and R3 (our baby, 3months old)

14/10 Thu PM.

I asked my helper to eat dinner with the kids and I’ll wait for Ram to have dinner together as he was working and coming home late. And I had late meeting too.

He came home past 8pm. We had dinner right away. After dinner, he said that he felt restless and felt like getting sick. As precautionary, he initiated to swab himself.

Well, he’s essential worker. So he routinary test himself as he everyday go to work. That Monday, he tested and was negative.

While I was preparing for shower, he called me showing his ART test result and said, it’s positive. Showing me 2 test kits by the way with the same results in it.

I looked at him and said, “what are you waiting for? Go and take a mask and wear it”.

He responded to me, “I’m going out and will buy a different brand of test kit”.

“Huh?! For what?” I asked.

At that point, he was in denial. 😅

We were disoriented for a while. We were not prepared and ofcourse, we didn’t expect it to happen.

So we decided the bedroom 3 (without attached bathroom) will be Ram’s isolation room as it very difficult for us if we will let him use the master’s bedroom. There are so many things to transfer for me and our baby. And it wouldn’t be that easy.

15/10 Fri AM.

Husband went for PCR .

16/10 Sat AM.

Husband PCR test confirmed as COVID-19 positive.

16/10 Sat PM.

My household were issued with HRW lastnight and we’ve collected the ART test kits. Im tested positive via ART. 😰 The rest negative. We have submitted our results to MOH. Have started isolating and last night 12mn had short cough.

17/10 Sun AM.

Today morning, aside short cough I’m having body aches. Will be going for PCR tomorrow. So far, vitals (o2, temp, pulse rate and BP) are ok.

17/10-PM

So far I’m doing good as of this time. Last night until noon today was the peak for me. The symptoms were like coming on and off in 2 hours. It was crazy. I had cough, chills, bodyache, running nose, blocked nose within 12 hours but no fever. I vomitted too.

Now, this evening so sudden no symptoms. 🙏 this afternoon i sweat after religiously hydrating and brushing off my anxiety. However, I’m still positive after taking my art test tonight.

Hopefully, that was it and no more symptoms for me. 🙏

*** I wasn’t able to get any SASH and tele-consultation today.  I was able to book an appointment at 11:30 this morning from Raffles Connect for tele-consultation but no one get back on me. 

 

I just took panadol and some meds prescribed for running nose and cough from my husband.

Tomorrow, I’ll go for PCR and maybe ask some meds too. 

18/10 Mon AM.

This morning, woke up with heavy head due to the drowsy medicines for clogged nose and 2x500mg of paracetamol I took last night.

But so far, my symptom is just the clogged nose. I’m going for PCR today.

18/10 Mon PM

PCR completed. Given stayhome notice until 20th Oct. I was informed by the doctor to expect a call from MOH if my PCR is positive. If negative, result will be sent via email.

Symptoms:

2:30 - itchy throat only

5pm - clogged nose, headache after waking up.

19/10 Tue AM

Received the PCR as positive. Today morning, woke up having bodyaches and clogged nose. At 9:15, started a bit of coughing. Received SMS from MOH asking me to upload my TT. Now aWaiting for their call.

20/10 Wed AM

Having itchy throat and cough.

When it was about time for the kids and our helper to send their Antigen result, my eldest result turns out positive.

At no time to wait, we have him in with us in the master bedroom. He had fever and cough.

Marion was tested positive. We have no choice but to bring him inside the masters with us.

He had fever and cough. Gave him paracetamol, ceterizine and cough syrup.

21/10 Thu AM

Sore throat and cough.

Fathen our helper was tested positive via ART.

10:30pm - I have called MOH and informed them of our situation and I have asked permission to take over my 2 boys. Our home recovery buddy advised us that she may need to escalate it and MOH will call me back. At that point in time, I was so anxious I have no choice so I took all the precautions to put the baby to sleep in bedroom 2. At first, me and Ram decided that I will sleep with the 2 boys. I tried. But when But my thoughts were racing.

Stressed to the max. I have asked Fathen to isolate right away and since there’s no other choice,
