enough with all the other musical revivals, you know what show we REALLY need to revive?

Yes; I am well aware of the fact that I'm insane.
I ship Borra and Elina SO FREAKIN HARD!
I even talked to a friend about this and they said 'Dude, I could see it. She could teach him the power of friendship and he could soften up.'
I was trying to write a story just to justify this shit but it didn't work. Not because of the ship though. It was the story that fell apart. Trying to come up with a way for them to interact was the issue. Not the actual interaction. That was going great!
I had Borra meet Elina before she got her wings so he thought she was human, but he saw her trying to help some fairies caught in a trap and watched the iron burn her hands.
The story was so much fun to try and figure out! It was going to be canon compliant to both franchises and I had a timeline worked out and everything. I'm just bad at writing! It would have been great and I was so sad to realize that the fic was dying on me.
Btw, I know Margot Robbie should be the obvious answer, but I personally see Samara Weaving as a live action Elina.
Yes; I want a live action Barbie: Fairytopia movie and I am not ashamed to admit it. Those were my favorites growing up. (Mariposa and her Butterfly Fairy Friends was and is the GOAT.)

No but the Barbie movie mostly made me sad bcuz I think there’s this alienation that’s deeply rooted in being an ace lesbian, I’m realizing that most people are not really actively thinking all that much about the complexities of our lives oppressed under a patriarchy or in a hyper gendered society, that it really just took some funny pink nostalgia puke & Ryan Gosling to get the conversation going…this is barely abt the movie itself even, because I don’t think it’s trying to be anything it’s not, but the reception and hype is picking at my brain like a bird, it’s incessant and pretty much impossible to avoid lol. Idk all I can think abt is how this movie barely touched on the intricacies of gender & sexuality…like yeah patriarchy bad, be whatever you want, womanhood is crazy…okay..??..but like what else…?? I think I expected too much is all, I should’ve gone into this expecting a stepford wives horror thriller, that’s what I’m gonna do next time around lol.
I mean..I could watch Mermaidia or fairytopia any day and feel much better than I did walking out of this movie cuz fantasy Barbie is better and cool as shit.

GUYS! You will never believe what happened to me!!!
So, I am completely obsessed and fascinated by “Barbie Live! in Fairytopia”, even though I never got to experience it myself in person. I recently was able to get into contact with Erin Coors who played Elina in the show, and I just told her how I wish I could have seen it as a kid. I told her how much I love Barbie and how much it means to me, and that Fairytopia is one of my absolute favorite Barbie movies. Yesterday, I got this little note from her in the mail. She’s literally the sweetest person, I almost cried reading it! I’m just so grateful and had to share this experience with you all. ♡
