i don't think ive uploaded updated refs of my fairy ocs so here's all of them in one place + a sketch of tulip and her mother tadai. all of them are desert fairies who live in sonora mexico. tulip is a black and tohono o'odham 7 year old fairy who's only just beginning to learn magic but tries very very hard regardless, adelita is a fairy with illusion magic who regularly lives as a human outlaw purely for fun, and jacinta is a yaqui fairy who has rain magic and is part of the group of fairies that helps maintain the desert's monsoon season. adelita and jacinta are a butch/femme couple and have been engaged for a while. tulip has no blood relation to either of them but jacinta and tadai are good friends and fairies tend to raise their children communally so theyre her fun lesbian aunties

bonus doodle of tulip being a mischievous little bug and hiding in her mama's pocket. all fairies have the inherent ability to disguise themselves as human for a while but that kind of magic is really difficult for young children to fully grasp so she's mostly experienced the human world from this vantage point

The preposterous Pied Piper makes it’s heinous debut!

With an intimidatingly permanent jolly expression to it’s face and a constant knack for laughing and giggling, it’s no question why this meticulously designed specimen is quick to make others flee! But don’t be deceived by it’s raggedy, silly exterior! For inside this humanoid build is a great multitude of… rats! A seemingly hive mind of an entity, inside of this soft sentient shell is the internal makeup of countless vermin it commands! Like seriously. They’re nothing but rats inside it. It has no other make up inside. It’s just. Rats.

But deep down, this whimsical, giggly entity has a darker origin to it’s motive. That old Mother Goose— yes, the very one after our pregnant protagonist Einin— has piqued this entity’s interest to the max. Joined along a small band of it’s equally sadistic allies, The Pied Piper has set it’s sights for control of that beastly bird with quite the cult-like obsession. Why? Who knows! Perhaps recognized power, or maybe it seeks alliance to carry out more wicked deeds alongside each other? And Einin…? She’s the utmost perfect bait to allow them to get ahold of that creature… if bait means sacrifice, in this case.

It would pull just about any trick in the book to get exactly what it wants. With a trusty smoking pipe along side him that it blows an oddly wispy essence out, it can easily lure in just about whatever it wants if the mind is feeble enough to fall impressionable to the falsified truths they will whisper. To him, nothing dare stand in it’s way of it’s cultivated goal… not even a backstabber.

Deveroux, seamster of the Estival Thicket, and currently the royal tailor of Lady Summer. Despite criticism from the winter court that he is lacking in backbone, and far too romantic, sappy, and vain for their tastes, his garments adorn the nobility of both courts.

Deveroux is very nearly blind, but manages to see just enough color and shape that it doesn’t truly affect his work, which is carried out primarily by touch anyway. As such, he is a master at mixing textures, and seeks out only the finest and most comfortable of fabrics. He has even woven his own textiles for his dear Lady Summer, when his vast collection of fabric proved unsatisfactory.

So @redmalkin ‘s call for some love for Sandman rare pairs and OC stuff got me deciding to share a little Hob x OC fun I’ve been playing with. I was feeling sad about him being walked out on in 1889 after reading some extra sad fanfic and so I decided to give him a nice kind rebound boyfriend 😅 I happened to have an OC from an original story who was around at the right time period so here’s William Blaise.

They have a meet cute in the rain after Dream walks off, become friends and then later lovers. Hob helps raise William’s ward Eleanor Pipps (another previously existing oc) which is a sort of bittersweet healing for him in getting to have another Eleanor/child to give care and love too.

They’re a very happy turn of the century family for as long as they’re all together.

I haven’t quite worked out how their story together ends yet, but on a humorous aspect I couldn’t help think of this joke as Will starts to get older xD
