I still stand by the draft ramble I posted about how scum villain's characters are remarkably easy to love and incredibly beginner-friendly especially if you're new to xianxia/wuxia content! Sqq's narration is essentially like he's one of your Tumblr mutuals who's been in a hyperfixation for way too long that he knows everything and can't help but explain it in excruciating detail every time he gets the chance

What is plot about? (talking about Newsies)

So it takes place in NYC 1899. Newspaper tycoons have raised their newspaper prices, I'm which if the newsies want to sell paps, they gotta pay for upfront for the paps (sp like I stead of 50 cents per hundred they gotta pay 60 cents per hundred. Mind you, a lot of these boys are runaways and orphans that can barely support themselves). Newsies go on strike, and ultimately all child workers go on strike, and they win.

HOT ( not really ) TAKE i've been thinking about:

i love the hu*nger ga*mes as much as the next person and the characters are very well written....that being said bc there's such a large cast and the main plot revolves around a few characters, sometimes i feel like it doesn't leave a lot of space for ocs to carve their own significant spaces esp within the plot when there are already canon characters ( whose portrayals are amazing, keep doing that ) who do so....so i was thinking-

what if instead of sticking to the canon....we just make our own version of the hun*ger g*ames universe...? like the canon characters don't exist so it lets ocs take their spots and we can see how they and the plot might differ and flourish?? AND THEN WHAT IF a bunch of blogs got involved so it would be interconnected?? it wouldn't even have to be clo*sed rp group but that's just me rambling bc it would be my DREAM to have a interconnected thg verse again :'D

STORY ARC - Paldea

Serena has left Kalos to study abroad in the neighboring Paldea region, at the prestigious academy upon being accepted into their program. She’s specifically studying to become a Professor, including taking several high level classes and prerequisites for this path.

She’s taken all of her pokemon with her, but only has a select few on hand at all times. She’s looking to add more to her roster during her time there, but has nothing specific in mind thus far.

She is very interested in visiting the sealed grounds of the four Ruinous Pokemon across Paldea. Likely in part because they’re all dark-type pokemon.

Can commonly be found at the school’s library, either reading or going through all of her coursework. She’s always willing to help people study or help with homework! Just as long as people don’t expect to copy her work - she wants to make people feel like they’re learning something. A lot look to her for tutoring, especially in harder subjects like math.

During the Treasure Hunt, she is always camping out. Always. Serena tends to have a handful of ingredients on her at any time for sandwich making, and is willing to share with others! During her Treasure Hunt, she also wants to learn much more about the Tera phenomenon, and spends a good chunk of time trying to uncover information on it.

She does wind up taking on the gyms! This also happens during the Treasure Hunt, as she’s already traveling around the region and might as well take them on. It helps brush up her battle skills for her hands-on courses, and gives her and her team a sense of accomplishment as well.

Falling into Area Zero. This is a big plotpoint I want to explore with her, in where she’s flying over the crater on the back of Etamin, her Salamence, and an air current/change in air pressure drags the duo in. Of course this isn’t without injury to both parties (Etamin’s being much more severe than hers and needing months of rehabilitation to get back into shape), and Serena has yet another brush with death. She effectively is missing, as no one knows where she could have gone and it’s VERY unlike her to miss any of her classes, period.

Heyo so I'm starting therapy on Friday but it's been so long since I was last in therapy that I don't remember anything except that I hated it, but anyway, what do you do in your first therapy session? Do I just show up and list my problems? Like "X Y and Z are wrong, what do you propose I do about it?" I'm very serious, someone please tell me what happens so that I can prepare.

There was a stranger in Thad's living room. Theodora hovered close to her door to the guest room she had been staying in. Brows furrowing ever-so-slightly. Thad didn't have friends (she jests.), so what was up with this? The young adult waited to see if he would notice or address her presence, or if it would go south.

Sensing a pair of eyes on him from where he was standing and looking out of the apartment window the red-headed young man turned around to see Theo. Silently he stared at her sizing up the other speedster. He had been given the low-down about Theo by the younger version of his dad. The basics at least. She was kinda like him in the sense that she came from a different universe and was displace from space like himself and had ended up in a universe similar and yet different universe from their respective ones. Though in Elliot's case he was also displaced from time as well.

As for how he had ended up lodging in this younger version of his father's apartment, well, being a speedster himself it was simple inevitable that he had run into Thad thanks to the magnetic draw of the Speed Force. The mysterious force and source of their powers had pulled him to Keystone and into this version of his dad and after a lengthy conversation he had managed to convince the older speedster in putting him up for a bit. Just until he could return to his time and universe.

"...I'm not calling you 'Mom'." He says blatantly. The gold eye stare serious and humorless, similar to Thad's own. Well, to be fair he wasn't calling this version of Thad, 'Dad' either, but the situation was just too weird, he was meeting another version of his dad, but as a girl and younger than the version of his dad that existed in the universe. It was just a weird clustersprock of a situation.

"Or whatever the equivalent is in this weird situation." He added before nervously running a hand through his short red hair, "You're...Theo right? Dad--" Guh. "Thad..." This was going to take some time getting used to, "Told me a bit about you. You're, like, displaced too?"

Michael was 14 when William sent him to a boarding school in England, he wasn’t there when Elizabeth died and he wouldn’t know about it until years later

Eleanor-Josephine (William’s sister) found out Mike was there and forged William’s signature to get Mike into her custody

Clara would take CC (who’s age range is 0-4 rn) and leave William after Elizabeth died but she wouldn’t be able to find out where Mike was

When Mike was 18-20, he moved to California and started going by Avery Maxwell. He started a band with the masked bullies and they preform small time gigs while working day jobs. It was around this time that he met Jeremy, the two between roommates and eventfully they became lovers.

Then the main events of the au take place and after Mike goes back to Hurricane when he’s 30-33. He’s unaware about what occurred

I didn’t know how to include this with the other stuff but Mike was William’s lab experiment, Mike had been injected with remnant and Jen’s the one who has to break it to him

(Also he may or may not be reunited with CC and Sammy)
