I realized I've never compiled all of my Twin Verse images into one place, so I'm doing that now. (The last one is a new addition.)

Twin Verse Summary:

Twin Verse: A universe in which Thad accepted Max’s offer to live with him, Helen, and Bart and learns to become a hero, though not without difficulties. Thad and Bart share the role of Kid Flash / Flash in this universe.

General History:

The history/events within this verse follow the events of Impulse and basically Bart’s life. Thad lives with Max and Bart in Manchester, Alabama during the events of Impulse. He begins to learn about becoming a hero under Max’s tutelage and very slowly develops a bond and rivalry with Bart. They’re not immediately brothers, but just learning how to live with each other and both of them want to make Max proud the best way they can though they still but heads with each other. When Max’s body is taken over by the Rival he moves in with Jay and Joan along with Bart. Max’s disappearance is what solidifies a bond between them. They’re the ones who are concerned and care about Max. Who refuse to let him be forgotten and for some time try to find him. Max is important to both of them and through their mutual love of Max as a parental-like figure they bond and stick together as each other’s most trusted person in their life because they know what the other is going through. When they grow older they both take up the role of Flash. (Which is quite helpful for their personal lives, but also keeping their identity hidden as they can use the other to keep the idea that the Flash and their civilian identity are separate. Ex: They’ve both been seen with the Flash on separate occasions, therefore neither of them could be the Flash!)

Additional Notes:

'Two Flashes?' I hear you ask? Yes, two Flashes working at the same time. Now as for why (other than the fact I think it's a fun idea)?

1. Because as I mentioned it's incredibly helpful in keeping up the illusion that neither Bart nor Thad is the Flash when it is initial assumed that there's only one Flash.

2. I like the idea of how it messes with villains outside of Keystone or Central City. I think the Rogues and local villains would definitely know/figure

3. I didn't want them to fight over the mantle. They both deserve the mantle in a scenario where they wanted to take on the mantle of Flash and give it their own spin rather than it being a contentious point between them and their growth.

4. It could keep up an even more solid illusion of the Flash can be everywhere at once.

I also think the local public would either know that there are two of them or have theories. When the Flash is out though you just don't know who you're getting. It makes for the potential for them to have different fighting styles, strategies, and how they deal with villains. But also the similarities between them. They might handle press different. Other heroes differently. Have different relations with other heroes and villains, etc.

Ex: Neither Bart nor Thad pulls their punches, but Thad is definitely softer on younger villains and tries to steer them toward reform/just steer them in a direction that doesn't lead them to a life he had in his youth.

Guess who made more edits of the AU that I will never let go of. Bart and Thad could have been Twin Kid Flashes! 

You complex relationships, a bit more angst, the transition of relations like clone to brother, and clone to grandson, and all that good family stuff. Bart and Thad would also be great in a fight together if they had formed a brotherly relationship. They could have been snarky towards Wally together.

Also yes, I did edit text just make his name match and made up reason for him to return.

Made another edit for my Twin!Kid Flash AU, which is basically an AU where Thad accepts Max’s offer, which leads to him joining the family, but also going through the tribulations that come with his past, being a Thawne, gaining trust from those who are a bit more skeptical of him and his becoming apart of the family, and also eventually him and Bart sharing the mantle of both Kid Flash and Flash.

#-shakes the bars of my cage- There's some value post Impulse comics. PLEASE. #IT'S the ANGER. Literally would you not be angry in his situation?? Would you not be prideful and angry and so unwilling to accept the hand #that shattered your life? Your immutable truths are shattered and would you take their hand? Forget intention. Think with your emotions. #-shakes my bars- hhhhhhh #also anger is so compelling when you're forced to fit in a box/to be perfect/an ideal #redemption feels like an easy fix. It makes him palatable. I say that specifically because it literally feels like someone attempting to fi #him/change his character/and force him into the role of son/brother/etc. #It puts him in a box/puts limitations upon him in my opinion. #so yeah i'm critical of the idea. #i guess there's two ways to look at it: There's giving him what you feel like he deserves (aka a good life) and then there's giving him wha #you think is a compelling story. #anyway I'll probably type this up in a more cognizant way later. I'm just thinking about it.

Thad raises his hands in mock surrender, "Hey, I'm not going to argue with you there. There are a lot of things wrong with society. And you're right I would have to charge you because there's no way I'd listen to you go on about this for free. I've got other things to do than listen to a hero comment on society."

Thad raises a brow at Deb, "And deprive you of the opportunity to return my clothes like a normal person? Oh, no, I could never." He chuckles. He's pretty sure Deb's never returned one of his shirts ever. Though she has replaced plenty of them, and he did go digging around in her closet when he needed a specific one back or wanted to try on her shoes, so at least it was fair on both their parts.

Thad taps his finger to his chin in thought, "Hmm. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between them." Could he, though? Could he? There was an incredibly good chance he was just saying this to fuck with Deb.

"But hey I'm happy with whatever's in my closet."

"Hey, if you want them back, you know where to find them." They're in her closet, probably. Unless she left them at Match's place...then they're in Match's closet. Deb does have a terrible time keeping track of clothes sometimes; she has a habit of buying new ones.

"Thad, babe, love of my life," she says, putting on her most angelic face, "I'm sure you do, but surely some of the ones I get you are even softer and more comfortable?" Let her buy you nice things, it makes her happy.

Thad chuckles at Grant. The guy only just woke up and he was full of attitude. Though Thad wouldn't take his friend any other way, and if he hadn't been then that would have been his first sign that something was terribly wrong with Grant.

He snickers under his breath.

"Oh, you absolutely do. I wouldn't have had a clue where to start searching for you if they hadn't sent the coordinates my way." Thad says as he zips about his apartment and back to Grant with a glass of cold water for him and his med kit. Sitting down opposite of Grant he fishes something out for his headache and hands it to him.

"Sounds like that fifty bucks is more than well deserved considering they're really the ones who saved your ass in this situation."

"Oh." Thad glances at his phone, "I'd say two-three hours at least. You really got yourself into some trouble this time didn't you?"

"Like being dead was more restful. My head fucking kills. You got drugs around here?" Thad was a good sign. Thad's familiar place, also good sign. Little fuzzy on the getting here. Vague memory of a big boom followed by the unforgettable bone rattling of the aftershock. Lucky the suit didn't go too. Something's there about reaching to press at his wrist as the world was fading out. Grant fidgeted with the twine bracelet on him. The green circle pendant in it's center flashing a black dot.

"I think I owe Q&E some drinks next time I'm in Gotham. They made the SOS bracelet." Something about his reckless ass having friends and using them they'd said. "Tragically, I also owe them fifty bucks." He hated when they were right but damn if they didn't know when to make the right bets. Too bad this one was on his ass getting into something too deep.

"How long have I been here?"
