Fantasy Guide to the Season
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Season is the period within the year where the social elite, the wealthy and the noblity usually return to the the city for a long string of events, balls and dinners. It was a time for luxury, for pleasure and most importantly to socially socially by networking.
A Change in Locale
Tumblr media
The Season drew all the nobles and wealthy back from their country estates and abroad back to the capital. At the height of the Season in the years preceding WWI, most of the elite held homes within the City where they would move into while the Season was on. There would have been a mad rush to return to the capital in order to be at the very centre of things. Since the English Season always coincides with sittings of Parliament, all members of both Houses take part in the Season.
Social Events of the Year
Tumblr media
The Season was a string of events of mixed variety ranging from the arts to sports to royal rituals between April and August. In the UK some the most recognizable events of the year belong to the Season such as the Grand National and Wimbledon. The Season was also the time for debutants to make their social debut and when royal orders such as the Order of the Garter would be bestowed. Between all the official events, most of the nobility and elite would throw dinner parties, tea afternoons, salons and balls.
To give you an idea of the range of events we will use the English Season as an example of all the events that run in this time: Glyndebourne Opera, The Proms, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, West End theatre Horticulture, Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Ascot, Cheltenham Gold Cup, Badminton Horse Trials, Grand National, Royal Windsor Horse Show, Epsom Derby, Glorious Goodwood, Cartier Queen's Cup, Trooping the Colour, Garter Service of the Order of the Garter, Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Boat Race, Henley Royal Regatta, Guards Polo Club, The Championships, Wimbledon, Cowes Week, Lord's Test cricket match. Since the Season also coincided with the marriage market, there would be a lot of engagements announced and weddings held.
At the end of the Season, usually around the 12th of August the elite would leave the city and return to the country for the hunting and shooting season.
What to Wear to the Season
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like most tradition heavy events, the Season was all about dressing appropriately. Wear the wrong thing and everyone you want to impress will see it. At polo matches, the gentlemen wear a blazers and strictly white trousers. Ladies are encouraged to wear flat shoes at these events. At the Royal Regatta, gentlemen wear lounge jackets and ties, and are permitted to wear their club colours as a show of support. It is usually traditional to wear boater hats. The ladies must wear dresses or skirts, with the hem below the knee. Women do not need to wear hats to these events. At events as such as Royal Ascot, everyone wears hats. The men wear either morning dress with waistcoat and a top hat, usually in grey or black. The only time a man removes his top hat is when he's dining, sitting in a box, on the balcony or within the Royal Enclosure. Ladies also must wear hats and are absolutely not permitted to show off shoulders. At the Presentation of the debutants, the traditional choice for the debutantes is a white court dress (though soft pinks and shades of white are permitted). The dress was short sleeved and had to have a train. The debutante wore long white gloves, a veil in her hair with three white ostrich feathers and jewels. Before the debutant has been introduced, she would hold her train over her arm and then let it fall when she has been presented.
How to Have a Successful Season
Tumblr media
The Season was essentially there to keep all the nobles and elite entertained while they fulfilled political duties. Against the backdrop of fun and politics, there was a competition going on. Different hostesses would battle to throw the best parties, the most exclusive balls, the most interesting dinner parties. Families would spend lavish amounts of money fighting to impress and remain relevant. If one wants a successful social Season, one has to obtain as many invites as possible and establish one's self at the centre of the elite social sets. To be seen at all the top events was a sign of success and in this success, you can begin to advance socially by making contacts with influential peers or to advance through the marriage market. As a host, the most important guests such as Dukes, Marquesses and any royal family member marks you as one of the top tier hosts.

Gambling is one of the subjects at the focal point of this discussion, with the topic of authorization an intriguing issue. Perhaps the lawmakers will take a gander at the huge scope crimes identified with the business, (for example, the gambling ring broken in 2012 that earned over US$1 billion) and see a market needing guideline, yet what's to come is a long way from clear.

Samantha Bricio Net Worth, Biography, Age, Weight, Height
Samantha Bricio is feisty, bold, and powerful. More than that, cut-straight to her appropriate identity, Samantha Bricio is a professional volleyball player for the Mexico national team.
Not simply an outside hitter, but she acts as an idol to many young women as she herself stood the youngest player to wear the Mexican national team uniform.
And why not see her as an idol? Samantha won gold at the Mexican National Games as a thirteen or fourteen-year-old kid. And truly, no pun intended here.
After traversing the world with different units and seniors, she joined the University of Southern California and garnered distinctions including Volleyball Magazine’s NCAA Freshman of the Year.
Samantha has represented Mexico in lot of events and has garnered innumerable awards, and established many records. She is tough when you look at her from the eyes of a competitor. Other than that, she is a healthy, pure, and pleasant soul.
Samantha racks up points like a pro in whatever league she joins. It’s as though she needs to be present and demonstrate her worth. She is a fan favorite, and fans congregate around her in order to obtain her autograph. And this appears to be significantly more than the net worth itself.
We will need to compute her net worth and pay in numerics as a prerequisite, so let us do the honors.
Samantha was born on November 22, 1994, to his dad Guillermo Bricio and Mother Estella in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She also has brothers, 10 years older than him, named Nijinsky and another named Irving.
Samantha is Mexican by nationality and has multiracial ethnicity. She always stood a fighter from within and out; she could play from the day she walked.
Not only that, she belongs to a family that retains a true, authentic sense of athleticism.
Well, it all started formally when she reached 13 and joined the national team. But certainly, there a period in her life when Samantha was bored with volleyball and wanted to play something different.
She mentioned this to her parents and elected to play badminton for a week. Eventually, she felt badminton was too sluggish and got bored.
Samantha also realized that presently there exists no other sport that she would play.
Talking about her close-knits, Samantha’s father is a retired banker who almost participated in China with the Mexican national basketball club.
Her mother is a retired physical education teacher who still competes with her age league.
Moreover, her brother Irving aged 35, works as a budget analyst with PEMEX petroleum and has played for the national basketball team and had a pro in Switzerland. He also took the 2007 Pan-American Cup and Mexican sports award home.
Samantha’s second oldest brother Nijinksy Bricio aged 31, is also a banker like their father. It’s a separate thing because even he also played volleyball and basketball throughout his college days. And no wonder he still plays rugby in Guadalajara.
Samantha’s grandfather, uncle, nephews, and all other cousins are all sports and extreme athletes.
To bring on, there is just one sport that the family has resided apart, Soccer. They loathe soccer to a level where they even dislike handling soccer balls.
As per sources, Samantha even tried playing club beach volleyball in Mexico for a year, but she could not continue more than a year. She was just too afraid of sand and mud and constantly wanted to keep her steady clean.
She constantly had to hold a towel in her hands to clean up and sit on a towel or chair. Samantha had a shower every single time; she left the game on the beach.
She went on attending the University of Southern California. Already remarked but let’s pardon this again.
She won the gold medal in the Mexican National Games in the 13–14-year-old group and later got silver in the NORCECA U-18 Championship. Following that, she got certified for the 2009 U-18 World Championships.
Samantha ranked sixth in the 2008 NORCECA U-20 Championship with her national junior team and garnered the Rising Star award for her exceptional playstyle.
She also played in the 2009 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship and was greatly acclaimed for her performance. She, together with her brother, Irving, got a honor from the Guadalajara city council.
Samantha has also won the best scorer and Best Server honors at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. In same fashion, she has made innumerable achievements in her name.
Samantha played in the Junior Pan-American Cup, Girls’ Youth Pan-American Cup, where she won a silver medal. She represents Mexico in the 2011 Girls Youth World Championship.
She also led her team to win the Private High Schools National Championship and was picked for the All-Star Team.
Samantha chose USC after receiving nearly 12 offers. She led her team, the Trojans, to a Texas A&M Invitational victory in her first year and was named Most Valuable Player. Additionally, she was named the NCAA Freshman of the Year by Volleyball Magazine.
Samantha was a member of the Pac-12 All-Conference Team, Pac-12 All-Freshman Team, and Pacific Region All-Pacific Region Team. Additionally, she was named the team’s Best Scorer and Best Server.
Not to mention, Samantha was named #60 on Smartasses Magazine’s list of the Top 100 Sexiest Women. She also won the 2016 Honda Sports Award for best collegiate female volleyball player in the country.
Samantha rapidly grasped the pro game after graduating from USC, joining the Italian league champion club for two years. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player after scoring 24 points.
Samantha Bricio’s life took a dramatic change following that when she went down with pain in her ankle. The story begins in 2017, when she had an ankle injury prior to the commencement of the Italian Cup in February.
Samantha was in discomfort following the second set of the Conegliano – Firenze encounter, which ended 18:14. Fortunately, the medical personnel determined that she did not have any bone fractures.
Samantha played for Fenerbahçe in Turkey in 2018-19 and was named the European Champions League’s top server. She was instrumental in the team’s bronze medal victory.
She returned to Italy last season to play for Savino Del Bene Scandicci. Additionally, she played for the Russian League following that venture.
When it comes to her personal life, many would be willing to learn a great deal about her. Even words are insufficient to justify who she is. Samantha stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall and is the epitome of a brave and beautiful soldier. She is unadulterated and unique.
It makes no sense to suggest Samantha is single. Alternatively, is she? Let’s find out who this wonderful guy must be to have such a young and courageous girl in his life.
After a quick scan through her Instagram pictures, we discovered that the lovely Samantha is not officially engaged but is casually engaged to her long-term lover.
Tumblr media
The duration of their partnership is not revealed, but they appear to have a pretty lighthearted relationship.
Additionally, here is a tweet sent by Samantha in which she expresses her feelings about her boyfriend and also pins her boyfriend, Joey Sanchez.
The pair appears to be traveling together, as they have dinner dates and outing arrangements. Samantha also wishes her partner a happy 30th birthday in one of her Instagram postings.
Additionally, Samantha is a true gem when athletics, athleticism, and her love life are separated. Bricio holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern California’s Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. She spoke only a little amount of English.
All thanks to her few pals who spoke only English; as a result, she communicated in English as well. Of course, her binge-watching of American television piqued her interest in English.
Let us begin by discussing her preferred course, Psychology 363: Criminal Behavior. She also recalls the lecturer vividly; Alex Yufik was an excellent instructor who brought in prosecutors to the lesson.
They would discuss actual cases, which captivated her greatly. Blessed with excitement and pleasure.
She is simply murdering in one of her images with her amazing athletic body and long hair in a bikini.

Hanif Mohammad
Hanif Mohammad (Urdu: حنیف محمد‎) (born 21 December 1934) is a former Pakistan cricketer. He played for the Pakistani cricket team in 55 Test matches between 1952/53 and 1969/70 and averaged 43.98, with twelve hundreds.
The highest of Hanif's Test centuries was a famous 337 made against West Indies in a six-day test at Bridgetown in 1957/58. After Pakistan found itself following on from a first-innings deficit of 473 runs on the afternoon of the third day, Hanif spent more than sixteen hours at the crease compiling his runs, allowing Pakistan to draw the game. It remains the longest innings in Test history (and stood as the longest in all first-class cricket for over 40 years). It is the only Test match instance of a triple century in a team's second innings. Displays such as this earned him the nickname "Little Master".[1]
In 1958/59, he surpassed Don Bradman's record for the highest individual first-class innings. Hanif made 499 before being run out attempting his five hundredth run; this mark stood for more than 35 years before being passed by Brian Lara in 1994. In all he made 55 first-class centuries and finished with a strong first-class career average of 52.32. He could bowl with either arm, and kept wicket on a number of occasions.
Hanif's career lasted until 1975/76, but he never played in the English County Championship, although he did have a single outing for the Northamptonshire Second XI in August 1965 whilst preparing for his appearance for a Rest of the World XI against England at the Scarborough Festival a few days later. Hanif was named as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1968. In January 2009, Hanif was named along with two other Pakistani players, Imran Khan and Javed Miandad among the inaugural batch of 55 inductees into the ICC's Hall of Fame.
In a Test match against Australia, Hanif scored a century in the first innings. In the second innings he was wrongly given stumped out by Barry Jarman off the bowling of Tom Veivers for 93, just 7 runs shy of his second century in the Test. Hanif respected the umpire's decision. Later in a press conference Jarman admitted that Hanif was not out.
Family Members
Many of Hanif's brothers and son were also cricketers: his brothers Mushtaq, Sadiq and Wazir all played Tests for Pakistan, as did his son Shoaib, another brother Raees was once twelfth man for Pakistan, and four nephews had first-class careers. His mother Ameer Bee was a national badminton champion in pre-independence India.

CBSE Board 12th Results: Girls Outshine Boys Again

CBSE Board 12th Results: Girls Outshine Boys Again
Saumya Gaur May 6, 2019
The battle of the two sexes is nowhere more pronounced as it is in the academic field in India, and in that too, among that particular chunk of youth that has to appear for their 12th Board examinations.
In a country, which has often been deemed too unfriendly and unsafe for the fairer (and given this headline, dare we say smarter too?) sex, the summer brings a sweet victory when you see girls across the nation outperforming the boys. This has been a trend in the last few years, and this year too, it was the girls who broke academic records as well as expectations, with their amazing performance in the Board examinations.
Taking Board examinations is a rite of passage for the youth of our country. It symbolizes the end of one’s childhood and acts as a stepping stone to the adult world. And given this esteemed status, it also puts a certain amount of pressure to perform well on the young minds. But as the young girls in our country have repeatedly told us, when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Girls Win All The Laurels
Shutterstock
The result of the CBSE 12th Boards which was released on last Thursday, saw girls beating the boys in terms of the pass percentage. While the pass percentage of the boys was 79.4, the girls scored a pass percentage of 88.70! What this actually means is that of all the boys who appeared for this examination, about 79.4 percent passed, while in case of girls, 88.70 percent of the girls cleared the examination. Even the transgender category scored an impressive pass percentage of 83.3! Overall it had been a good year for senior secondary education as the total pass percentage stood at 83.04 (1)
A total of around 13 lakh students appeared for the exam this year, which was conducted on a massive scale around the country. While we have established that girls did better in general, the crowning glory of being the topper went to a girl (actually, it’s two girls)! Hansika Shukla, and Karishma Arora, both of whom belong to the state of Uttar Pradesh and also tied for the first position by scoring 499 out of 500.
The second position was also a tie between three girls — Gaurangi Chawala (Rishikesh), Aishwarya (Raebareli), and Bhavya (Jind) who all scored 498 out of 500. That’s right people, these girls scored a near perfect score!
The Secret To Success
Hindustan Times
Sharing the secret behind her success with a leading newspaper, Hansika explained it as a result of consistent hard work and positivity. She said “ My success mantra is a belief in self and to never think anything is impossible. I take all competitions positively. Success comes when you better yourself…”
With a cent percent score in all subjects, except for one, English, Hansika said that she really regrets losing that one mark but is okay with it as she acknowledges that it’s quite impossible to get objective marks in the language.
Talking about her preparation strategy she also mentioned the support of her family that led her to achieve this feat, “ If I don’t give 100% I will not get 100% back. I would attribute my success to my family and teachers…”
Hindustan Times
On the other hand, her co-topper, Karishma Arora admitted to working hard but said that she never imagined that she would top the exams. While these two had their eyes on the target, this year saw many girls acing the academics despite maintaining a healthy interest in the extracurriculars. As is the case with Pramila and Mehakpreet Kaur of BCM Arya Model Senior School, both of whom managed to score above 90 percent in spite of representing their school in the CBSE national badminton championship. So, maybe girls can do it all!
More power to these young girls for their uninhibited attempts to shatter the glass ceiling, but to all our young readers, we want to say this, these marks can’t be the quantifier for your success in life. They measure skills, not your knowledge or acumen in handling life and the curveballs it throws your way. The only real purpose these exams do serve is preparing one for the tough competition that they have to face in their adult life, by helping them develop skills such as time management.
If you didn’t score as well in these exams, don’t lose heart for all is not lost, many of the famous personalities who have made it big in the world haven’t been big scorers in the academic world. What they did have though was the spirit of perseverance in them. And in the end, that along with your consistent hard work and talent will determine the course of your life.
Do you think scoring high in exams is an apt benchmark for measuring one’s success in life? Share your thoughts and opinions with us in the comments section.

How to choose the Best Yonex and Victor Championship Badminton Racket of 2019?
Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe. - Abraham Lincoln
