The world changes when I read.

It bleeds away into faces emerging from behind words, colors shining through the lines, scenes becoming alive and a part of me and I a part of them.

I always feel untethered when I'm snatched back to reality, sort of see-through. As if I'm a ghost flickering between worlds until I properly materialism, body and soul, in this reality.

Maybe that's how I'll die one day far, far from now. Reading. Slipping away to that other world and awaking inside a story.

I kind of hope it it.

3. Kissing scars and birth marks ? ❤

"My lady." Aymeric murmurs to Seike with a bow, ignoring the pointed looks from the people around them. It's been months since last they met and she looks --- well. Not as haggard as before, maybe, but he cannot help but worry all the same.

"Aymeric," she offers in return, the barest hint of a smile curling her lips. "Formal as ever."

For those unfamiliar with her the words might sound cold, a dismissal; Aymeric knows enough to detect the warm affection underneath.

"A habit that is hard to shake, even among friends," he agrees, gently taking her hand in both of his and lifting it to brush his lips over her knuckles. "I pray you have fared well in your travels."

He says that and yet the evidence is plain on her hands; in the short time it took to kiss her hand he made note of the split knuckles, the fresh scar tissue parading over her hand like a mountain range and the slight tremor in her fingers as he held them.

"I have," Seike says.

Aymeric gives her hand a squeeze of silent reassurance before he drops it and steps back, re-establishing the customary distance between them.

Moonacre for the WIP Game?

This is the The Secret of Moonacre AU I've been going on about for ages...and then I write maybe 300 words a year and can't find my way back in:

It's a modern AU which combines coffeeshop AU and enemies-to-lovers, with Maria and Robin working in rivalling family-owned cafés in a small town in rural England. The story behind the rivalry has both economic and emotional reasons, Maria's uncle and Robin's older sister being former lovers. Maria doesn't know much about it, though, because she has lived in London most of her life and doesn't know her uncle or the town very well. However, her new perspective might be what is needed to solve some old conflicts, hm?

(I am still motivated to write it. I've got a vague outline, and I'm happy what I've written so far. I do need to define the outcome a bit more precisely.)

Year-End Writer's Round-Up: 2023

It’s that time of year, writer friends — time to take stock of what we’ve been up to this year! Words written (published or not, WIPs totally count too!!): 999 496 — ARGH IT WAS SO CLOSE TO A COOL MILLION. I did this calculation on the evening of Dec 31 and I was like DAMMIT I NEED TO WRITE A DRABBLE LMAO. 😂🙈 Honestly, I’m surprised the word count was so high this year — I could have sworn my word count had dropped because I wrote very little for a few weeks after BG3 first came out LMAO!

Smut scenes: 42 — I've done better LOL. I’ll blame the slow-burn BG3 ships I’m working on currently. 😂

New things I tried:

I started dabbling in M/M smut this year, in the context of my beloved Horizon F/M/M polycules (Aloy/Drakka with either Kotallo or Nil). Usually when I write F/M/M threesomes, the focus is on the men pleasing the lucky lady of the group, but I headcanon Drakka in particular as being very unapologetically bi, so it’s only fair and right that he get some sweet M/M action. I’m looking forward to putting this M/M practice use on Halsin/Tav/Astarion when my BG3 writing finally gets to that point! 

This was also the first time that I wrote an AU where I gleefully yeeted the canon deaths LMAO. I’m usually a stickler for adhering to significant plot points including character deaths, but the dastardly and darling @iamcayc nudged me into writing Here Come the Dreams, where Varl and Fashav both get to live, and it was a total delight to keep those darling men alive and happy. 

I wrote a smut scene in first-person POV for the first time, using the adorable voice of Karlach from BG3. This was a particularly interesting challenge because I feel that the first-person voice calls for a more urgent in-the-moment kind of narration, which means that I had to alter my usual way of writing smut in terms of phrasing/wording and pacing, so it was a fun challenge! 

With Astarion/Tav/Halsin, this is my first time writing an OC who falls in love simultaneously with two people, and it’s been… interesting trying to negotiate the polycule coming together. Of course I had to get enamoured with (arguably) the two most emotionally complicated male LIs in BG3 and make my own life difficult, LMAO. I’ve been struggling a little with bringing the relationships together and it’s been slowing my writing down over the past month or two, but I’m trucking on because I love both Halsin and Astarion and I really do believe in the dynamics of the OT3. SILVANUS GUIDE MY HAND AS I FIGURE THIS SHIT OUT.

Fic I spent the most time on: 

Even The Hardiest Desert Blooms! I really sank my focus into my beloved Desert boy this year and wrapped up his fic, which is always a bittersweet feeling when you adore the pairing. 😭

Fic I spent the least time on:

Burning Blue (Karlach/Dammon). I was bitten by a sudden bug of adoration for them, and that piece basically came together in a day and a half because I was on fire to get it out. I LOVE THIS PAIRING SO MUCH. 😭🔥

Favourite thing I wrote: 

Even The Hardiest Desert Blooms has always been my self-indulgent pleasure because I just love Drakka to the moon and back, so focusing a lot of this year on his fic was a treat. But Here Come the Dreams was also an enormously fun project because I just went ham and hyperfocused on it for a month and a half. I really wanted to see if I could finish it in a month just for shits and giggles, but AS ALWAYS it ended up being longer than anticipated so I didn’t meet that goal, but it was still a total ball to come up with a fun little project and finish it as quickly as possible. 

Favourite thing I read: 

Hands-down, without a doubt, What’s A Sex Tape Between Friends?  by @auntie-coagulant. I don’t read much fanfic, and when I do, it's only for the ships that I don't write. So when I saw this fic recommended in the Kotallo server and I was like “Travis/Lis?? You have my attention.” My eyes were popping and I was HOWLING by the first chapter, and I’ve been dead in the water for this fic ever since and procrastinating on finishing the fic because MY EMOTIONS ARE NOT READY FOR THE HEARTBREAK.

Writing goals for next year: 

Finish Coming In Like A Western Wind. I’ve been sleeping on this fic since September because Astarion and Halsin turned my head and I feel really bad about it… but I do mean to finish it! 

Just keep on keeping on with my BG3 fics for Astarion and Halsin! I’ve been DYING to write smut for Halsin for months, and I have images living rent-free in my head of Astarion enjoying some very tender sensate focus, so let’s hope I get around to writing these scenes before I explode.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: It's actually been over a week which is a recent record!

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: My husband and I are infertile together. It is the most horrible, dehumanizing, and soul-destroying thing I have ever been through. I'm still trying to figure who I am after this experience, because it's sure as fuck not the person I was before.

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: No! Well, yes, after a character in Greek mythology, but not after a parent or grandparent or anything like that.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: Yesterday. I was reading the Iliad again for an anon ask and was going through the part where Achilles kills Hector and oooh that scene got hands 🥲 I cry a lot though, I'm a crier, and a lot of the time it's about patrochilles so it's par for the course really lol

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: Nope.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: I'm fairly active generally but I don't play sports at all because I don't like them. I tried several sports while in school before accepting that I simply don't like team sports and I'm not good at them, but I had much more fun with solo sports. I swam for several years somewhat competitively, and I also did track for a while. 

DO YOU USE SARCASM?: I think so? But usually only with people I'm very comfortable with, because I can never know what would go down well or not with a person I don’t know. 

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?: That’s hard to answer because I feel like it depends on the situation. Most of the time, it's body language and their general vibe. Meeting new people can be nerve wracking so I try to "read" them and act accordingly, if that makes sense? I don't want to step on any toes or say the wrong thing so figuring out what the other person's mood or interests might be usually helps. But that often means I miss out on other things on first encounter, like... their eyes or smile or something?? Lol idk man, socialising while on the spectrum is hard 🥲

WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR?: Brown.

SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?: I think I'll pick scary movies because I do like horror and dark stuff and I don't care if the ending is happy or not as long the story is interesting. 

ANY TALENTS?: it took me so long to think of something for this and I honestly don't know? I'm assuming by 'talents' we mean something you're born with, not something you've worked hard at like some kind of craft, right? In that case, I think I have pretty good visual memory, especially when it comes to books and articles and such, or the written word in general. Oh and I'm weirdly good at orientation, I can usually find my way no matter where I am. Which isn't such a huge deal now in the era of google maps, but back when there was no gps it was a pretty useful skill to have haha. 

WHERE WERE YOU BORN?: Greece.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?: Writing, reading, gaming, crocheting, drawing, going to museums! I'm constantly on the look out for new exhibitions and stuff, it's my favourite thing in the world to do. 

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?: A darling and dastardly cat, aka my extension when I'm at home. 

HOW TALL ARE YOU?: 1,68m

FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL?: Oh god I freaking hated school, absolutely hated it LOL I can't think of one thing I liked in it. I guess I only enjoyed the very last year of high school when I was preparing for the Panhellenic exams because like... it felt like there was finally some kind of purpose or reason to be there at all, even though there was a lot of pressure. I loved Ancient Greek, Latin, History and Philosophy. 

DREAM JOB?: I don't have one, I don’t dream of labour 🙃 I don't think there's any sort of job anyone could do in this capitalist hellscape we're all currently living in that would be enjoyable enough to make up for, well... living in a capitalist hellscape lol. If I could, I'd just go back to uni, probably. That was my happy place and I miss it. And I'd also write a bunch and read a bunch and take up all sorts of creative hobbies, and probably travel more.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: When I was in high school, I did shotokan karate, and made it to my first-degree brown belt before my knee gave up!

To 10 Games

Thanks so much for the tag @thevikingwoman! In no particular order and no particular criteria. Just games that have meant a lot to me for one reason or the other over the years.

1. Resident Evil 4

Though I love the remake and plan on replaying it soon, the original has to be on this list for not only being nostalgic, but just for being a big staple of my time in high school. I played this game way after it released, but it was such a fun escape when I needed it. Ada and Leon were the first couple I really shipped and their dynamics still appear in my writing today, even subtly. honestly I think it's also fair to say Ada also taught me how to flirt. lol.

2. Kingdom Hearts.

This was the first game I played where the story impacted me enough for me to cry at the end. Yes it’s not exactly great and it’s very cheesy and weird, but I feel the need to include it because this was the game that made me realize how impactful the medium of games could be in terms of storytelling.

3. Dragon Age

I’m sure you knew this would be on here! I’ve spoken so much about it, but let it suffice to say it got me back into writing and now I’m a much better writer because of the things I’ve learned and developed along the way! Will give the edge to Inquisition over Origins on this one, but I feel like a lot of people don't know how much I replayed origins, and in fact played it all the way back when it first came out.

4. Tomb Raider Anniversary

Been thinking about these games a lot recently. I do love the remakes but I have to say I’m partial to this Lara, of Legend and Anniversary variety. She likes adventures and history and she explores and goes to cool locations, and at a time in my life where I was just starting to realize how much travel means to me, I got to vicariously travel. I also think these games are a good blend of puzzle, exploration, and action.

5. Red Dead Redemption 2

This was the game that solidified my feelings that story telling in games not only rivals that of other mediums, but sometimes can even overtake it. Playing RDR2 feels like reading a long epic novel where the characters become your best friends by the end.

6. Last of Us

It would feel weird not to have this game on here because I truly think it is one of the best games that has ever been made. I just like to pretend the sequel doesn’t exist. Cough.

7. Assassins Creed 2

I love so many of these games—odyssey is definitely up there as well but I have to give this one to 2. I played it when I was 16 after coming home from Europe for the first time and enjoyed the hell out of running around Florence after I had been there. I did also have fun playing odyssey again after being in Greece. Couldn’t find the place I jumped from in Paros I was so sad.

8. Okami

This game is very much pure nostalgia. beautiful cell shaded animation and compelling use of Japanese mythology.

9. Mass Effect 2

I don't quite love ME as much as Dragon age due to my own preference for fantasy/medieval, but I love 2 for where it took the story/characters. Overall, ME is one of the few, if only, pieces of SciFi media I like.

10. Witcher 3

If you put a gun to my head and told me to name what I thought the best video game ever released was, I'd say Witcher 3. I have fond memories of playing this game while eating pizza in college. I also just love the animations for this game. In a time of "realism is the way" in video games, to me it's the more animated style that is much more timeless. (this is another reason I like Baldur's Gate right now)

Imagine an Ishgard where the war against the Dragons has been so long that it has become close to legend and myth. Where fights are far away and the peace in the city only disturbed by heretic terrorists spreading lies and fear.

The Holy Church keeps the people safe, so nobody in their right mind would work against them.

At least that is what Adriene tells herself - until she meets an incredibly handsome stranger in a club whose kiss literally gives her visions. An encounter that turns her whole life upside down and makes her question everything she thought to be true. About the War, about heretics, about dragons... and soon, she has a decision to make.

E-rated, Estinien x WoL, Soulmate AU, 9 Chapters

The air was thick and humid, throbbing with the rhythm of the music. Lights cut through the darkness, flickering and sweeping, returning the joyful faces to the dancing people for split seconds before they were lost again to the anonymity of the crowd.

It had been so long since Adriene felt this free, losing herself in the rhythm pounding all through her body, the thrill and pleasant buzz of exertion running through her. Her sister had been right all along, she should have gone out much sooner, expenses be damned.

Ever since she had moved to Ishgard a few weeks ago, she had worked tirelessly to get a foothold with her tiny flower shop, to make ends meet. She had worked so hard that she had nearly forgotten how it felt not to be hyper-focused on her business. How it felt to just be.

An intense gaze met hers amidst the sweeping, colourful lights followed by a seductive smile from sensual lips. Adriene wasn’t certain whether it was directed at her, but she smiled back just before the lights flickered past and transformed the crowd back into moving shadows.

The song changed and the man was still there, his eyes as dark as the club around them. His smile brightened as he met her gaze, and this time, she was certain his smile was meant for her. Adriene felt drunk on the atmosphere, and let the music carry her closer to him. Whenever he moved, the muscles in his bare, tattoo-adorned arms stood out, his long silver hair flashing brightly under the spotlights that wandered over the dancing crowd. He was utterly beautiful.  

He moved with powerful, fluid motions, his open hair falling wildly around his face. Words would get lost in the music and so, neither even attempted to talk. There was only the moment, only the music and the movement, and Adriene let herself get swept away by it. Dancing closer and closer, laughter and appreciation in their eyes and smiles, the atmosphere and music wove an air of possibilities around them. Endlessly, they moved together to the rhythm, the crowd around them a sea of meaningless strangers all just as lost to the music as they were. She gave him a look from hooded eyes, arms raised over her head and he took the unspoken invitation. The first touch sent a small shock through her in the best possible way, his fingertips carefully resting on her hips as they swayed together, and her breath hitched slightly as he moved closer until she could feel his torso moving against her back. Waves of heat radiated from each point of contact through her, and Adriene closed her eyes to savour the feeling. She lost track of time afterward as her whole world seemed to shrink down to the sensation of dancing with this stranger whose mere presence made her whole body sing in anticipation.

There was a lull in the music, and suddenly, she heard his voice against her ear, his breath whispering over her skin and sending goosebumps over her whole body.

“May I buy you a drink?”

G'raha studies Seike for a moment, crimson eyes wide as she slowly widens her stance and sucks in a slow breath, finding her center of gravity. He gets the feeling she is about to do something dangerous, the glint in her eye filling him with trepidation. "Don't do anything ---" She sprints forward and off the cliff, twirling her lance in a wide arc before pointing it downward to pierce the voidsent through, her bodyweight making the weapon sink in with a sickening squelsh. "Drastic..." Estinien lets out a bark of laughter behind him and G'raha swears quietly, legs burning as he breaks into a run to catch up.

Currently Reading:  Ok... so... I actually haven't read any sort of published novel since... 2011, with A Storm of Crows I think? So I used to read a shit ton, but it was 11th grade and my friends were like 'You're still reading kids books? Read something for grown ups instead' (I was rereading Percy Jackson at the time, my beloved). So I gave it a try with a 'grown up' fantasy series and... fuck GoT it was awful and I decided if that's what adult literature was like, I didn't want any part of it. So I quit reading entirely.

Last Movie: Bullet Train, months ago. I don't like watching movies - I'm huge into the behind the scenes stuff, cinematography, lighting, direction, costume design etc etc so it makes it hard to watch movies when my brain won't stop analyzing and criticizing everything (honestly modern cinema is so full of people just 'sending it' for the next big paycheck, the heart is just gone). But my husband insisted I watch this one and you know what? It was actually really well made, I was impressed.

Craving: More time. More time to finish these cosplays (Twelve have mercy the con is in a week and a half), more time to write, more time to decompress. Also craving a Chromebook/laptop/portable writing device that doesn't freeze when I type more than 5 letters in a row...

What are you wearing right now: My nightgown! (still in bed) It's got penguins on it and it's fucking adorable.

How tall are you: 5'5, idk what that is in the rest of the world. Americans, y'know.

Piercings: None, but I bought some super cute Ascian earrings last year and I've been really tempted to get my earlobes pierced.

Tattoos: None, not my thing but totally cool for everyone else!

Glasses? Contacts?: Lasik! Totally worth if you can do it.

Last drink: Choccy milk (I am an adult)

Last show: Last narrative-focused show? Uhhhhhh.... I watched the first season of The Walking Dead in 2012 and I legit can't think of anything more recent. I just don't enjoy watching things much, I'd rather be doing something, and I'm such a snob when it comes to screenwriting/characters that most things just don't appeal to me. Other than that the last non-scripted show I watched was Restaurant: Impossible.

Last thing you ate: An oatmeal chocolate chip cookie my sister made last night.

Favourite colour: Wine/burgundy! That deep, dark, blood red with just a hint of purple (in case you couldn't tell since it's the color my WoL wears in every outfit)

Current obsession: FFXIV lol

Unrelated Obsession: Unrelated? I'd say writing but that's kind of related... So, horses? I mean that's just always my obsession.

Any pets: Uh... yeah. I myself have two horses. And then... we have a shit ton of cats. So in 2020 strays kept showing up at our house and then they'd have babies, eventually we managed to catch them all and get them fixed and now some of them have chosen to move in. Shelters are full all across the state, rescues and fosters are full. So now we have... 10 cats that live inside (it's a large house) and then another six/seven that are still feral outside but fixed at least. Nothing much we can do about it, but keeping them inside keeps them safe and saves the wildlife outside, too.

Do you have a crush on anyone: An eternal crush on my husband. He's just amazing. Soft. Adorable. Handsome. Perfect. Goofy. Gorgeous. Smart. Creative. Loving. So many more words. 12 years together in May!

Favourite fictional character: Assuming player characters/WoLs don't count, Elena Fisher from Uncharted. She was the first female character I encountered who was just... normal. Not a token female, not sexualized eye candy, not walking boobs without a personality, she was... a real person, a real character in her own right, whose gender didn't change who she was. And I fell in love with that back in 2007 (I was in middle school then, so it was kind of a big deal for me). She only got better as the years went by, I still love her.

The last place you traveled: Depends on your definition of 'travel'. On a literal sense probably Portland, but since both that and Seattle are practically in my backyard I don't really count those. Other than that, Philadelphia I think, for a wedding.

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? My mom. Apparently my dad really wanted to name me after my mom and she was like "ugh really fine" LOL. My dad is also named after his dad, who was named after his dad... REAL ORIGINAL. This is going to sound like a total humblebrag, but my mom and I are both published academic authors, so we have to use our middle initials to distinguish who published what 🙃

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? Probably in therapy last Thursday LOL. Though I got a little prickly-eyed earlier this week watching the episode of ATLA where Zuko and Aang go on their lifechanging field trip to the Sun Warriors' secret village 😂❤

DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Nope! Childless by choice.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED? I played T-ball when I was 5 or 6 (hated it, cried so much that my parents pulled me out LMAO) and I was on the volleyball team in Grade 6. I'm left-handed and I had a habit of serving into the wall, unfortunately, and the habit got worse when I was nervous. During one game, they took pity on me so much that they paused the game until I got the ball over the net. I was fucking humiliated and have never played a team sport since then. 🤣💀 Re: other physical activities, I like dancing! I've taken a ton of different kinds of dance classes including swing, salsa, bellydancing, and Bollywood dancing, and loved all of them!

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? Uh...! I don't know if there's any one specific thing? I usually take in an "overall impression" of appearance. Vague, but that's all I've got. If the question was "what's the first thing you notice in people you're attracted to", that might be a different story 🤣

WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR? Brown.

SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? I am going to copy Johaerys's answer and say it doesn't matter to me, as long as the story was good. But also, who says scary movies/horror media can't have happy endings?? 🤣Haunting of Hill House, anyone? (Bittersweet, maybe, but it counts as happy to me!)

ANY TALENTS? Would it be wretched if I said I feel like writing might be a talent? Whatever, I'm saying it. 🤣😅

WHERE WERE YOU BORN? In a hospital in the same city where I currently live! Which I will chose not to reveal openly! 🤣

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? Writing! It takes up a solid 75-90% of my free time. Also gaming (which I might count into the writing time since it often becomes Research™ for the writing 🤣). I also enjoy baking and cooking, though I don't know that I'd count those as hobbies since they're necessary ADLs?

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? A cat named Meeko. She is my daemon. We can never be apart when I am home. Case in point, a photo taken in real-time while completing this quiz:

HOW TALL ARE YOU? 5'3".

FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? Uhhh... what level of school are we talking here? In undergrad, I took an incredible linguistics/history course about writing systems, and that was probably my favourite class ever. I took a course during undergrad about different schools of psychotherapy that was pretty damned influential too.

DREAM JOB? I also loved Johaerys's answer here: "I don't think there's any sort of job anyone could do in this capitalist hellscape we're all currently living in that would be enjoyable enough to make up for, well... living in a capitalist hellscape." I'm lucky enough to work in the public healthcare system so I'm pretty safe from the worst of capitalism, I guess, though my job (speech-language pathologist) is one I chose more for practicality (certainty of employment) than because I was really passionate about it. If I could do something else and not have to worry about money, I would either want to be a fiction editor, or a sex therapist.

So, wanted to get some hiatus rec lists going and encourage some self promo in my friends so how about sharing your top fics no matter how big or small - give us the links to your wonderful words with the Most hits/Most kudos/Most comments/Most bookmarks/Most words/Least words.

Most hits: Across the Stars, which is my collection of Theron/Knight prompt fills from over here, collected together because I hate writing summaries and didn't want to do it for 100+ ficlets (nor completely flood the SWTOR category with my fic*). Actually a little surprised that one was at the top in flat view, because I was absolutely planning on ignoring all my SGA fics for the purposes of this (it's not that I don't care about them I just... don't care) Although granted, there are a lot of chapters in that one, so that's probably part of it.

Most kudos: If you want to be technical it's an SGA fic but once again Across the Stars is trailing like a whole 5 kudos behind. My little MVP, just chugging along.

Most comment threads: All right, now I'm starting to sound like a broken record. I will give you three guesses which one came in at the top again... by a wide margin. But #2 is By Guidance from the Stars.

Most bookmarks: That SGA fic again, by a wide enough margin that I can't really dismiss it on a technicality. Granted, I know it's a favorite among a lot of folk, and is one that from the comments is actually re-read a lot? Which is impressive staying power for something I wrote in a manic fever dream in the span of a few weeks for a fic fest.

Most words: A different SGA fic, written for one of the SGA Big Bangs eons ago. Somehow between the first and second drafts it ballooned up 18k in edits to nearly 89k words. If I ever finish poor languishing Smoke and Mirrors, maybe it will unseat the king from his throne. That or I will eventually write so many ficlets I can't be arsed to create a summary for, Across the Stars will win by attrition, slowly expanding and engulfing everything like a dying star.

Fewest words: Harmony (575 words) I am absolutely cheating here because I looked at the bottom two on the list, one of which I wrote when I was sixteen and was like "Nah, I don't want to share that", so instead, please have this lovely story from the point-of-view of lightsaber crystals. I wound up putting my drabble fic into a collection because, one again, I hate summaries.
