I’m back to replying & sending out updates, however I’m replying to everything via my iPad (which is usually just for art, the laptop I’m borrowing needs a little break from being used) and I’m very slow at typing on it because I’m. uh. well, simply: I’m not good at touch screen typing! so please bear with me, but I am tentatively hopeful that everyone should hear from me before the weekend 😤

I always forget to get a proper before photo.

Here's a "little bit after I started" photo. This is my dad's old radio, it's a model from 82. He used to use this to listen to the football and talkback.

The plan is to scrub it up, and replace the missing dial and (maybe) handle using 3d printing.

I've already removed copious amounts of dust, checked out the insides, and given some bits a bit of a wiggle.

It's sounding pretty good. Sure, I could get better sound from a modern machine, but that's not the point.

Sad to hear of the passing of Chris Cross ( Chris Allen) the bass player from in both versions of Ultravox.

Personally ,I preferred the John Foxx era of the band... but was too young to go before JF left, so only saw the Midge Ura era live in 1980 at Jenkinsons in Brighton.

I have only 2 (two) things to do today (get my Rx refill and drop off the monitor for the old job at a shipping place) and it's a good fucking thing because we are on hour 2 of my being awake today and I have gotten only as far as compression socks on and teeth brushed
