Torture — Has your OC ever been tortured? Would your OC ever torture someone else?

Kanin would call what he did "enforcement", but I'm certain some people refer to it more readily as torture. He treads a very disciplined line between hurting people enough to terrify them, without breaking them. For Kanin, torture serves a very specific purpose. It's a means to an end, not for pleasure or satisfaction. If torture is the most efficient and effective solution, he will employ it.

Kanin's never been tortured in the physical sense, but he's certainly gone through the wringer psychologically and for pleasure.

Monster — Is your OC monstrous in any way? Is there something that makes them monstrous? Are they aware of their own monstrosity? Do they accept it or reject it?

Alte monstrosity is borne from a sense of protectiveness and fraternal instinct. The few times he lashes out are when his brothers or family are being threatened. The few times he's been willing to do a monstrous act have been in defense of Jugend or Kanin. Alte is willing to go to any length for the people he loves, but rarely extends that sense of preservation over himself.

Alte readily embraces his monstrosity as part of who he is and the kind of person he wants to be, and considers it a proportionate response for something so important to him. Anything milder would be a betrayal of the people he loves.

Midnight — What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

Jugend is a workaholic who will squeeze odd jobs into the small hours, often because he knows he'll be undisturbed. And it provides an easy excuse for avoiding sleeping. He has suffered from nightmares for many years; feelings of being trapped, or of being outcast. Whilst his anxieties have eased with time and effort, he initially spent many nights awake planning. What he could have done differently, what he would do differently if the situation presented itself again. He frets over his own judgement, whether he's read a person correctly, whether he's missed a vital cue, whether his judgement is clouded (opening him up to risk). His greatest fears and doubts stem from not being able to trust himself. Jugend is an overthinker whose thoughts are very loud in the quieter hours.
