Making It Work – Kate Riley/Rhonda LeBeck, Kate Riley/El Blanco…. Kinda

A/N: Another @thetremorssaga fic for @yeehawgust .

“Hey bud….” Kate can’t help petting El Blanco when the creature wraps a tendril around her. By now the two have formed enough of a friendship that she’s sure she’s not about to be eaten. The creature grumble-roars and she sighs. “Really?” She can’t help sighing when the worm nudges her forward where a clearly unafraid shrieker is standing. “You okay with this?” She asks the Shrieker, then winces when it shrieks. “Okay, okay fine…” She murmurs, settling onto the creatures’ back, holding tightly to a tuft of fur at it’s neck. “Lead on then…” The Shrieker runs, half-bouncing, and she winces at every jolt, the unconventional steed works all the same and she clambers over rocks to help Rhonda escape the other Graboid, helping her onto the Shrieker and sending her home, waiting for El Blanco to join her. “So now what?” El Blanco blinks slightly then changes forms, flickering into a humanoid shape with wings, scooping her up and flying home. Later, much later, she’ll wonder what on earth possessed her to take a risk but for now, for now, she’s content.

Look at these two and tell me they're not father and daughter!

I mean, they have the same eyes; they're tuxedo cats; they have similar facial features; and most importantly, they have white paw/paws!

Okay, for those who don't know, El Guante Blanco is an elder tuxedo cat, adventurer, and swordsman who is Puss in Boots’ former mentor. His right paw is the color white, earning him the name "El Guante Blanco," which is Spanish for "the white glove." He has clothing similar to Puss's (hat and belt with sword) but doesn't wear boots. He has a similar appearance to Kitty Softpaws. His black fur appears to be mildly sun-bleached, as it can appear tawny. As he aged, he also had many random white hairs scattered across his body. He is from the Netflix series "The Adventures of Puss in Boots."

I headcanon him as Kitty's long-lost father and mentor because Guante and Puss are like Don Diego de la Vega and Alejandro Murrieta from The Mask of Zorro. And Kitty is like Elena Montero, Don Diego de la Vega's long-lost daughter.

In the movies, Kitty was on par with Puss, if not superior to him, (in my opinion). How else would Kitty know how to move and fight like Puss unless she was taught by the very same person?

Being an adventurer and hero is dangerous business, and Guante probably had his fair share of bounties on his head. He probably felt that his life was too dangerous to keep his little "Kitty Softpaws" by his side and had to make the hard decision to give her to a human family that he thought would take good care of her.

So that's my basic headcanon and theory anyway; on another note, I am in the middle of writing a fanfiction about Guante and Kitty's backstory based on my headcanon, so be on the lookout for that, you guys.

Also, tell me in the comments below what you think about El Guante Blanco being Kitty Softpaws' long-lost father.

Fangs for the Memories - Kate Riley/El Blanco

A/N: Creaturefuckers rejoice, some western grabass with a graboid for this one. Day 14 of @yeehawgust , inspired and spun off from @thetremorssaga but hella AU.

El Blanco. Creature, monster, Graboid. She’s heard them all, but alone, here, in Perfection, she yearns for something else. There’s a gentler way of life here, she doesn’t have to be a Graboid, then Shrieker, then Ass-Blaster, so she puts her energy into something else. Working out how to grow a human form. Later, much much later, she would come to realize that the Mixmaster had read her needs and allowed both her Graboid and Human form. She’s barefoot as she pads into town, stolen clothes wrapped around her. Jeans, torn and ragged, and a tank top, her skin the same albino white as always. She’s quieter still as she seeks the woman she cares for the most. Kate. Her Kate. Fair Kate who hadn’t been afraid of her. Dripping fangs tear into soft lips as she nibbles her lower lip nervously, then makes a choice. She will approach. Much later Kate will ask why she came to her first, but in this moment, she follows instinct. Kate, when she finds her, is alone, quietly lonely and Blanco moves to embrace the silent woman, smiling when she startles a little, dripping fangs press to Kate’s neck, then shoulder, her name a rough whisper. “My Kate…” Sharp scraping fangs brush Kate’s neck again and she smirks into soft skin when Kate groans and tilts her neck, biting down gently but firmly, breaking the skin only enough to mark the woman as hers, the lightness of her tongue, gentler, more human now, against Kate’s shoulder draws another shudder and she smirks. “Mine now.” Much much later she’d learn that marking Kate had meant freedom for them both, but for now, dripping fangs smear tender kisses over bruising and bloodied skin.
