Look at these two and tell me they're not father and daughter!

I mean, they have the same eyes; they're tuxedo cats; they have similar facial features; and most importantly, they have white paw/paws!

Okay, for those who don't know, El Guante Blanco is an elder tuxedo cat, adventurer, and swordsman who is Puss in Boots’ former mentor. His right paw is the color white, earning him the name "El Guante Blanco," which is Spanish for "the white glove." He has clothing similar to Puss's (hat and belt with sword) but doesn't wear boots. He has a similar appearance to Kitty Softpaws. His black fur appears to be mildly sun-bleached, as it can appear tawny. As he aged, he also had many random white hairs scattered across his body. He is from the Netflix series "The Adventures of Puss in Boots."

I headcanon him as Kitty's long-lost father and mentor because Guante and Puss are like Don Diego de la Vega and Alejandro Murrieta from The Mask of Zorro. And Kitty is like Elena Montero, Don Diego de la Vega's long-lost daughter.

In the movies, Kitty was on par with Puss, if not superior to him, (in my opinion). How else would Kitty know how to move and fight like Puss unless she was taught by the very same person?

Being an adventurer and hero is dangerous business, and Guante probably had his fair share of bounties on his head. He probably felt that his life was too dangerous to keep his little "Kitty Softpaws" by his side and had to make the hard decision to give her to a human family that he thought would take good care of her.

So that's my basic headcanon and theory anyway; on another note, I am in the middle of writing a fanfiction about Guante and Kitty's backstory based on my headcanon, so be on the lookout for that, you guys.

Also, tell me in the comments below what you think about El Guante Blanco being Kitty Softpaws' long-lost father.

the more i think about it, kitty softpaws must have been declawed on all 4 paws. she wears boots. in the adventures of puss in boots, puss's mentor tells him he wouldn't struggle with climbing as much if he took off his boots and used all his claws. cats who have had their front paws declawed but not their back will learn to use their back claws for self defense. it makes it extra cruel (if there is such a thing) that they declawed all of her paws, which is pretty uncommon since the back claws aren't really involved in things like 'playing too rough with the hamster' and destroying the couch. just something to think about

watching taopib after having had watched the last wish is rlly interesting bc it makes you wonder if puss's time in san lorenzo might have affected him later down the line ( for better or for worse )

an example would be what if his 4th death ( ie the dumbell death ) was influenced/a result of him being insecure about how he wasnt the muscle of the operation ( The Muscle episode ) so he decided to go and get super jacked and ends up dying as a result

My sudden hyperfixation on Thriffith woke up again, but now I have a purely meme in my head:

El Guante Blanco and Goodsword are walking down the street one day, wandering into a thieves' market, and then Goodsword sees Triffit paired with El Moco. The bandits and thieves themselves also say hello to them.

Thriffith also notices Goodsword and he looks at him very arrogantly and dismissively, even with a bit of mockery, showing with all his appearance: "Look at me: I have found myself a tough guy and a cool company that treats us like parents. This is my path, I'm welcome here, I have a lot of connections, and I'm important here. What have you accomplished? You're superfluous here, you're just a NOBODY."

Goodsword begins to resent him and eventually realizes that he has failed colossally

I know my blog is for movies, and movie reviews, specifically, but I just finished binge watching The Adventures Of Puss In Boots, and I have a few thoughts:

(THERE ARE SPOILERS, SO PLEASE DON'T READ PAST THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SURPRISED)

-I actually watched a bit of it a few years ago when it first came out in 2015, but I never saw the finale until today.

-Puss is kind of a dumbass and arrogant, but he means well. He does his job well, and he can be a sweet character.

-I honestly thought Dulcinea was so naive and innocent, but as the series goes on she learns about the world more and becomes more self aware. (Her book is still dumb, though, all the quotes.)

-Pajuna and Cleevil were awesome. No more to say.

-Toby, Vina, Kid Pickles, and Esme were okay, but I honestly found them all annoying in some way.

-Artephius can be an intelligent guy when he needs to be, and when that happens, he does some really cool stuff.

-I thought Duchess was hilarious, with her potions, and then finding out she's actually a witch? That was really cool.

-El Guante Blanco is kind of the parent of the group, if anything, but his younger self was badass too! And he was so sweet to the Ducky, and Dulcinea.

-Sphinx is a mood. (I made Turrón because of that one episode, and it tasted amazing!)

-El Moco was a lot more violent than I remembered. And Danny Trejo is his voice actor!

-The thieves got kind of annoying after a while, and why do they all look the same? Are they all twins, like seriously, they have the same eyes and face, even though their faces are mainly covered.

-Guy Fox was like a Puss In Boots knockoff. I cringed at that episode, he was trying too hard to be cool, and it wasn't working BRUH 🤣

-The evil sword concept was different; I found it interesting. Scimitar made me laugh at some points, and the Goodsword is just fed up with everyone except El Guante Blanco. They hit it off quite fast, and made a great pair.

-There are literally three back to back episodes in one season where Puss is with the Sky Pirates.

-The mermaid, Fiji, was effing annoying. Her husband at least is the calmer one of the two, which is why I liked his character. 🤣And they made it so that the man carries the baby. I was laughing at the birth scene, hopefully men who see that will have more respect on women, pregnancy, and abortions.

-The BloodWolf stuff was kind of intimidating, honestly. And Uli, too. He was kind at first, but a total backstabber. I really thought they were screwed that one episode during the faceoff with the BloodWolf.

-Sino is actually TWO people?! Artephius and No? Like BRUH, Sino was in San Lorenzo, with the townspeople the entire time?! (One half of him, anyway)

-Puss and Dulcinea finally got to be together! (But she left everyone to go be with him 😭) I teared up on the last episode, it was heavy, man.

But a great series regardless! It has action, humor, romance, and new characters! I would definitely binge watch it again, given the chance.

Yea I’ve thought the same thing when I first saw him that they look alike but who knows if they’re just two different cats or actually related.

But if they were, then what would have have happen between them! Like maybe he lost her as a kitten during something or he just abandoned her

Just a new headcanon, that I've been workshopping ever since I watched The Last Wish.

For those who don't know, El Guante Blanco, Duckling, and Dulcinea are from "The Adventures of Puss in Boots."

Dulcinea has been friends with Puss and Kitty for years in my headcanon, so she was Kitty's maid of honor at their wedding.

Dulcinea had feelings for both Puss and Kitty but didn't want to jeopardize their friendship or the developing romance between them. Dulcinea never had a female friend that she was close to, so she's very thankful to be in Kitty's corner and that Kitty allows herself to be vulnerable with her because she knows how hard it is for Kitty to let others in. Kitty only lets Dulcinea call her Kit, and Dulcinea lets her call her Nea in return.

And another thing: in "The Adventures of Puss in Boots," El Guante Blanco adopts the Ugly Duckling, calls her Duckie, and teaches her the same things he taught Puss. So, in my headcanon, when Kitty reunites with her long-lost father, she discovers that she has a little sister now. In contrast to Puss and Duckie, Kitty and Duckie get along well, and Duckie immediately loved her new big sister. And of course, for Kitty, it took a long time for her to trust and forgive her father and warm up to him and Duckie. So, when she didn't show up to her own wedding because she was worried Puss wouldn't be there, Guante, Duckie, and Dulcinea found her and consoled her. They convinced Kitty to come with them and be their family because they knew that Kitty was in a bad place right now and she needed some familial TLC.

So, Kitty went off with Guante, Duckie, and Dulcinea and didn't look back. Over time, trailblazing with her father, sister, and Dulcinea, Kitty started to get a sense of something that she didn't even know that she missed—it was her sense of self-worth. She began to develop feelings for Dulcinea but felt unsure. Dulcinea empathically noticed Kitty beginning to distance herself from her, and one night she took a hold of Kitty's paws, touched her forehead with hers, and told her, "It's okay."

Puss In Boots Sorting Thoughts

I wanted to put these down here so that I don't forget, and also because I'm impatient XD. Currently only on season 4 episode 5 so thoughts are subject to change.

Puss in Boots: Badger Lion with a Glory Hound Lion model

Puss cares about the community, about the people of San Lorenzo, but also about people in general. For example, he offers the skeletons and home and their freedom even after they attacked him initially. When they get to town and the townspeople are vary of them (very valid, walking, living skeletons are sort of disturbing XD), Puss genuinely doesn't get it. They're people just like them, why are the townspeople afraid? Last season when Puss is cursed into being a black cat and brings bad luck upon the town; he knows he has to leave for the good of the community, but he's so miserable away from them. (He almost immediately finds a smaller group - attracting communities like the Badger primary he is) I think his Badger is/was probably a little bit burned. He has a lot of glory Hound Lion moments, but during those he essentially wants to be recognized and praised by the community - which feels more Badger then Lion. I think he used to live in that model when he was out on his own adventuring and didn't have a community. Also he gets so much self worth from how valuable he is to the community and is so self deprecating when he feels that he doesn't live up to what they need from him.

Lion secondary because how he solves problems is by running and hitting them with his sword, no prep and no steady hard work. He assembles the Senior Puss squad to fight alongside him in the battle against the Blood Wolf at the insistence of his mentor El Guante Blanco - which is literally him building an army. Even Duchess joins him, even though she considers him her nemesis.

Dulcinea : Bird Badger with a Snake primary model

Dulcinea is a very classic Badger secondary. She works very hard, is liked by everyone, and sometimes falls into that confident role that Badgers sometimes end up occupying because people find them so trustworthy.

I debated between Badger primary and Bird primary for her, but I decided that I think she's just got a really loud Badger secondary which tends to bleed over into her primary. She also had some badger-y ideals, maybe because of the secondary bleeding through? I think Dulcinea definitely has a Snake primary model for Puss and also for the orphans. She sometimes vibes like The Lover sorting (Snake Badger), which makes sense because she's Puss, the main character's, love interest. I think the Snake primary model definitely helps with that impression. I ultimately think she's a Bird primary because of her poem book (which is essentially about kindness and being a good friend and how to navigate other life situations). That's her system. Dulcinea's morals are based off the book (she's still willing to through it out if it doesnt make sense to her tho), and she makes decisions and advises other people based off of it.

Uli : Bird Badger

Uli I think is a Bird primary because of how quickly he changes his mind. He thinks that he needs to be evil and scare other people in order to be treated with respect (that's what he was taught when he was raised in the order of the bloodwolf), but Dulcinea shows him how the skeletons earned respect not by being scary, but by being kind and doing good. Uli immediately goes, "Maybe everything I was taught was wrong and being evil isn't good. Being good is good." He's spent his whole life chasing after the rise of the bloodwolf and tried his best to be as evil as possible - I think that's his system that he learned from the people who raised him, but he's so quick to change his mind and there's no real anguish over it in the way there would be for a Lion primary.

I'm less sure about his secondary, but maybe Badger secondary because he plays the long game? He purposely befriends Puss, putting in the work to gain his trust, just to betray him. He cleans an entire kitchen and cooks a whole meal, just to be evil (reverse psychology was used to make him do this - it's not his fault guys XD). Also I'm pretty sure he falls on the inspirational divide. He takes over Dulcinea's role as teacher of the Reform School for Thieves in the span of one night simply by inspiring the thieves to follow him because he's the star pupil of the school.

Artephius - Double Bird

Artephius has memory problems, but he's still got so many skills. Sure, he periodically forgets about them, but he eventually remembers and he's very impressive when he does. His hobbies, skills, and tools are varied and numerous and I think he's a very fun Bird sec.

I think he's a Bird primary because he honesty just vibes very Double Bird to me? I think if he fully recovers his memory (which I'm guessing he will based off what I remember from when I first watched this show years ago) his primary will be more clear.

Duchess : Lion Bird

Señora Zapata : Snake Lion

Pahoona : Double Lion (or Lion Snake)

Kid Pickles : Lion Snake

Toby : Badger Lion

Cleevil : Badger/Snake

Puss in boots and the lost kingdom. By Abriel woodoford.

Chapter 1. The Legend of the Magic gems of Elemental.

After Puss got back through time from San Lorenzo he and Dulcinea are now having a adventure on their horse.

That night they were rest with a fireplace Puss asked. How did she come back that day they found out she's the third Tulpa created by a great Mage.

Just then Puss saw something he walked to see what it was a stone. The cat he knows.

"El Guante Blanco?!" Puss was in shocked.

Dulcinea saw him.

"What happened to him?" Asked Dulcinea

"I don't know someone must've turned him to stone" said Puss. "Maestro can you hear me?" He tried again "Are you in there?!" There was no answer Puss needed a way to turn him back until the Magic happen. When Puss touched the stone even if Magic came from that battle and when Dulcinea brought him back from death with love.

"What the?" Puss didn't know what is happening he feels Magic in his chest. "What'a going on?!"

The Magic turned El Guante back from the stone as it breaks.

"Puss are you okay?!" Dulcinea asked

"Yeah I'm fine" Puss answered "That was confusing"

Puss was in shocked that El Guante was injured he fell as Puss catches him.

Dulcinea helps with Puss carrying El Guante back with the fireplace and help sent him down.

"What happened?" Asked Puss

"Ginger..." El Guante speaks "we're not safe here someone's coming!"

"Who did this to you?!" Puss asked

"No time to explain we must run now" El Guante warned.

"Halt!" It was one of the guards in black found 3 kitty cats.

"Woah!" Said Dulcinea "Who are they?"

"Well well hello El Guante blanco" said the guard "you're that greatest hero of all time defected a dragon"

"They know you?" Puss is confused

"What are you planning on doing with us?" Asked El Guante

"It's not us planning it's the princess who plan this" the guard said "Princess Lydia"

Puss and Dulcinea gasped.

Puss got no choice but to fight them.

"No one injures my Maestro!" Puss said in anger.

"Wait Puss be careful!" El Guante said "those guards are gonna get you"

Puss fight the guards with his sword he is really good at fighting.

When the guards were defected 3 cats make a run for it.

"Get them!" Said the guards

"Run!" Said El Guante Blanco

Unfortunately El Guante was still a old cat.

"I think we lost them" said Dulcinea

"Puss you still have not introduce me to your lovely lady here" said El Guante

Dulcinea giggles. Puss forgot he went back through time he just remembered in san Lorenzo they had adventure to make El blanco young again.

"Yes this is Dulcinea" Puss said

Just then they said other stones Shadow Coco Jack Tina princess and princess Linda.

"Who are they?" Asked Puss

"Ginger there's something I should tell you" El Guante tells Puss. "They are from the lost kingdom of Fantasy and that's Lydia's sister Princess Linda she is beauty and a good witch she heals people with Magic she's the daughter of Lorna the Elemental witch."

Puss understood. "Why didn't you mention this before?" He asked "back when you taught me fighting"

"It's just a long story Puss" El Guante sighed. "You know that magic you used to turn me back to normal?"

"But I don't know where it came from" said Puss

Dulcinea remembers she was in controlled as the third Tulpa and Magic got Puss almost killed him. She was so afraid to tell him.

"I guess I could try it" said Puss as he touched the stone.

The Magic turned them back to normal

"We're ... back" Shadow said but he still got shaky leg.

"Father?" Coco worried Shadow is still very injured by a explosion.

"I am fine" said Shadow when he looked down he gasped "El Guante Blanco"

" El Guante blanco!" Princess Linda got so happy she hugged him tight.

"Good to see you too" said El Guante

"Oh no what happened to you?" Asked Linda

"First up I am old cat" El Guante explained "second the guards happened I got injured by them"

"Ouch" said Jack the Bunny

"By the way this is my ginter Puss and his ninja Dulcinea" El Guante said

"I've heard about Puss in boots before" said princess Linda "he saved the town from a giant goose!"

"You knew that?" Asked Puss

"Yeah!" Linda said with excitement

"I am Shadow the Dark wolf" Shadow starts "This Is my son Coco and the bunny is Jack the kitty is Princess and a Alchemist fairy Tina and Linda the princess of the lost kingdom of Fantasy"

"Yes and my older sister Lydia" Linda said "She got the darkness in her mother tried to help her but it was too late and my mother got turned to stone including all the villagers Puss can you help me? She asked "You're the Adventurer and the greatest hero"

Princess Linda really needs help Puss looked at her.

"Okay how can I help?" Asked Puss

"The Magical Gems of Elemental are missing" princess Linda explained "my mother made them but now they are gone without them our town is doomed and only you Puss in boots can find them and use them to save the world the darkness will come to other places too"

Puss got in shocked when Linda said other places he realized the darkness would come to his own home and his mother.

"Oh no" said Puss "Even my own home and my mama okay I will do it."

"Oh thank you Puss!" Said Linda

They have a carriage with Linda's unicorn Goldie.

"Goldie we gotta go find the first gem" said Linda as they go into a carriage

"On it" said goldie she ran to move the carriage.

El Guante was still injured so Puss and Dulcinea helped to put him on a couch.

"That's a nice carriage you have there" said Puss

"Thank you" said Linda "we go here to survive from turn to stones during our Adventure okay so the first gem is what you have to find Puss wherever we're going and we'll find out the gems are Earth Ice Fire Water storm wind and Light if you find them you'll be able to save the world"

"But they could be powerful" El Guante said "I will teach you to control them"

"Okay I accept" said Puss

So they are on their way to find the Magic gems of Elemental before getting to the Lost kingdom.

8 - Not sure how common it is (though it feels pretty common!) but Kitty lying about not being at Santa Coloma! Like yeah, nice angst material, but it also doesn't at all feel like what she'd do! Kitty wouldn't lie about something so important when Puss is trying to be open and honest with her just to spare his feelings- not when trust is so very important to her.

12 - Uhhh, I cannot actually think of any characters I like that are like this. I guess I only like the characters everyone likes??

16 - Puss/Kitty/Death. At the same time. With Kitty and Death being romantically involved with each other. I just... I don't get it. I see why people would like this ship, but I don't get it.

17 - I've said this before, I'll say it again- We Need More Deathpuss Tentacle Fics!!!!

18 - I wish more of the fandom would use Humpty. Now, I hate that egg as much as the next person, but by god the angst material! He was Puss' brother! He betrayed Puss, betrayed Puss again, sorta redeemed himself (at least in Puss' eyes, not mine) and then fucking died. That has got to have fucked Puss a lil up and I really wish that that wasn't slept on.

22 - Don't know if this technically fits but- El Guante Blanco, from The Adventures of Puss in Boots! Puss needs a mentor (and father figure) after he's exiled and all on his own, and Guante is always the one for that job!

Season 3 Episode 13

Fix: That funny almost silent scene

" - Five handsome men, please... AND DON'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT OUR SHAME!"

It would be very funny if we were also shown a moment where Thriffith was also at the market at that moment and he noticed the Goodsword

And such:

Thriffith, mentally: he can't see me he can't see me I'm not here he can't see me-

Goodsword: THRIFFITH!!!

Thriffith: Well, there, he's seen....

And eventually they would have a dialogue where Thriffith would tell him everything straight out and then walk away proudly. And the Goodsword would go into a depression 👍✨
