"Elita" to książka, która wprost mnie prześladowała. Była dosłownie wszędzie - social media, znajomi, internet... Naprawdę mam wrażenie, że wszędzie. Dlatego stwierdziłam, że najłatwiej będzie po prostu ją przeczytać 😁 Nie miałam dużych oczekiwań, ponieważ spodziewałam się czegoś lekkiego i trochę naiwnego. Obecnie kończę książkę i z całkowitym przekonaniem stwierdzam, że spełniła perfekcyjnie te oczekiwania. I am utterly obsessed with the Eagle Elite series by @rachvd. This series is hands down one of my top favs. It pains me to know that I've only just discovered this series. But I devoured them all in a matter of days. No 😴 just lots of ☕️ and snacks. This series just got better and better and I'm completely consumed by the story, the characters. „Elita” jest niesamowitą powieścią, która zaskakuje, kiedy stajesz się jej częścią, nie sprawiła frustracji, ani nudy, jedynie trójkąt miłosny wywołał we mnie mieszane uczucia, ponieważ tak naprawdę nie był potrzebny. Czy kobieta nie może przyjaźnić się z kimś bez żadnych ukrytych pragnień i niepewności? Przyjaciel nie może pozostać przyjacielem, jeśli nie jest gejem? To takie moje odczucie, nie to, że nie lubiłam Chace’a, bo jest fajną postacią i bardziej mi pasuje do roli opiekuńczego „starszego brata” niż faceta, który podstępem chce odbić komuś pannę. Bardzo polubiłam siostrę Nixona, współlokatorkę bohaterki Monroe, żałowałam jedynie, że nie było jej więcej w powieści, była naprawdę charakterną kobietką i bardzo dobrą przyjaciółką. Mam nadzieję, że w kolejnym tomie uda nam się ją lepiej poznać. W sprawie Phoenixa to ja bym mu tym młoteczkiem rozwaliła, coś zupełnie innego, domyślicie się, kiedy przeczytacie, co to za ancymon. This book you guys. It made my cry and hurt and then eventually it made me heal. Eventually, I saw the light with Chase and I was ready for him to heal. Even if he wasn’t. When you have been reading this series as long as we all have, you know what I mean when I tell you that these guys are family.

Eagle Elite nie jest typowym college, jego studenci noszą specjalne mundurki, istnieje tutaj także system klas, karty, które są kluczami umożliwiającymi dostęp do określonych miejsc. Dla wszystkich dziewczyna uchodzi za dziwaczkę, ma trudność z zaklimatyzowaniem się w nowym miejscu, reguły, które panują w Eagle Elite nie są dla niej zrozumiałe. Ciągle wpada w tarapaty z tego powodu została jej przypisana uszczypliwa ksywka „Farmerki”. Nie to, jednak w tym wszystkim było najgorsze, a Nixon Abandonato, który jest elektem i skutecznie miał zamiar uprzykrzyć jej życie. Wpadła w szpony samego diabła, a to nie wróżyło dla niej niczego dobrego, prawda? „Elita” była moim pierwszym spotkaniem z twórczością Rachel Van Dyken, byłam jej ciekawa, zwłaszcza, że kilka fajnych blogerek wzięło ją pod swoje skrzydła. Postanowiłam zaryzykować i zapisać się do Eagle Elite szkoły innej niż wszystkie, kroczyłam pośród jej murów po omacku usiłując się dopasować. Czego udało mi się dowiedzieć? Główną bohaterką „Elity” jest Tracy Rooks, dziewczyna, która swoje życie spędziła na ranczu wychowywana przez swojego dziadka. Jej rodzice zginęli w wypadku samochodowym, gdy miała zaledwie sześć lat i niewiele pamięta z tego okresu. Jest bardzo inteligentna, co dostrzega jej dziadek. Postanawia ją zmotywować do tego, aby zawalczyła o stypendium w pewnej prestiżowej szkole. Czy jest to jedynym motywem starszego pana? Co jeśli skrywa własne tajemnice? Eagle Elite jest miejscem, gdzie uczą się wybitne jednostki, nie tylko pod względem intelektu, ale statusu społecznego. Nikogo nie dziwi fakt, że uczą się w niej dzieci najważniejszych ludzi w kraju. Raz w roku jest organizowany konkurs umożliwiający zwyczajnym szarym obywatelom szansę na to, aby mogli pobierać naukę w tym miejscu. Tracy kocha swojego dziadka, farmę, na której mieszka i całe gospodarstwo, ale zdaje sobie sprawę, z tego, jak ważna jest nauka. Chciałaby mieć lepszą przyszłość, a wraz z nią odwdzięczyć się za całą dobroć, którą otrzymała.
