Top 3 favorite movies?
It varies from moment to moment and what I’m in the mood for. There are so many good ones and I’m bad at making decisions lol. 😅 So I’m gonna go with the two that are usually the go-to movies when my mom and I can’t decide what to watch, which would be Ever After and the first Pirates of the Caribbean, and the movie I’m currently in the mood to rewatch is Tangled. ❤️

Quotations.
June cannot get comfortable on the half inflated air mattress she is resting on. After tossing and turning for almost an hour, her hips are aching and stiff.
Nick is standing guard at their doorway, as he had every night for the past six months, dressed in his full tactical gear. His whole body is on alert.
June sighs as she watches him. What she need is for Nick to come do his human space heater thing and let her steal his body heat. She calls out softly: Nick.
He shakes his head tightly. She sighs. June says his name again. He turns his attention back to her. June pulls herself up so she is sitting. She smiles softly at him:
You are not on duty tonight. It is okay to rest. You need to rest. June pushes herself up on her arms, ready to scoot over and allow him space next to her.
Quotations.
June reaches the end of the ladder, stepping down onto concrete. She dusts her hands off on her sweatpants, folding her arms across her chest against the cold.
Nick looks down at June and her stomach drops. Tears flow down her cheeks as she whisper-hisses: Nick! What the f*** are you DOING? But she already knows.
Nick speaks slowly and clearly: It is a straight shot to the border. 20 miles, North. When you see sunlight you feel around for another ladder and climb. You do not stop, you do not look back, no matter what you see or hear, you hear me?
June nods her head in agreement, tears streaming down her face. Her chin is quivering: Okay. But just come down here, we will go now.
Nick’s jaw clenches. He shakes his head once. He climbs out of the tunnel and from above he effortlessly closes the hatch, sealing June in the dark, alone.

I’m sorry, I didn’t know where else to turn.
Please call as soon as you can.
The first thing you saw upon checking your phone midway through your workday was a short string of texts from a friend that had you worried. Checking the time, you gave notice to your assistant that you’d be in the office, walked inside, and locked the door.
That evening as you stepped out of a cab and up the steps to your New York brownstone’s front door, nervous flutters grew in your stomach. Hanging up your coat, you caught smells and sounds coming from the kitchen along with idle whistling, which made you smile even now. Those flutters were still frequent under normal circumstances now that you got to come home to James Buchanan Barnes, reformed art thief.
Well. Mostly reformed.
Following the sounds, you spotted him standing at the stovetop with his back to you, wearing those perfectly fitted trousers you loved and a button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. Swoon. He hadn’t heard you yet so you allowed yourself to linger in the doorway, enjoying the view. You loved to watch him moved about the kitchen, drying his hands and throwing a dish towel over his shoulder. He spotted you then and you stepped forward, meeting him half way.
“Hey, gorgeous,” Bucky grinned, pressing a kiss to your lips with an arm wrapped around your waist. The other hand still held a spatula.
“Hi,” you replied, returning the smile.
“Dinner’s about ready. Do you want to grab some glasses and pour the wine?” he asked, turning back to the stove.
“Sure.”
As you poured the wine and took a sip, Bucky dished out what looked like an amazing pasta dish, even adding a sprig of parsley for garnish. Your boyfriend had grown to enjoy cooking over the past year and you were the lucky taste tester. Setting the dishes on the dining table, Bucky pulled out your chair and you slipped into it, offering the second wine glass to him as he settled in the seat across from you.
“Cheers, my love,” Bucky declared, clinking his glass against yours before taking a sip.
“Mm. This looks incredible, Bucky. Thank you for dinner,” you said, reaching over to give his hand an affectionate squeeze.
“Of course. I tried something new so I hope it turned out,” his lips tugged nervously as you both picked up your forks. “So, how was your day?”
Giving yourself a moment, you took a bite and savored it. Moaning in pleasure, you gave Bucky a nod and swallowed. “Wow. Well done, handsome. So good. Today was, um…work was fine. I did get a strange text from a friend, though,” you began, taking another bite.
Brow furrowed, Bucky reached for his wine. “Oh? Strange how?”
You shifted in your chair, twirling a forkful of pasta. “You remember my friend Wanda?”
“Sure,” he nodded. “Personal art shopper for…”
“…Mr. Stark. That’s right. She’s been curating his collection for years and…”
You paused, reconsidering your tactic in conversation but Bucky noticed your hesitation.

S4E5 - Commander Blaine being forced to sign orders he hates- it’s that fic we wrote!
I think they’re doing a good job of showing he can’t stop it, right? Imagine saying no to that crowd. He’s be on the wall for treason in minutes.
He can’t say no. He’d stall and delay as much as he could- but when it came down to it- his hand is forced. Like it’s always been.
Like I hope this season is him starting to chafe and resent - the LACK of power he has as a Gilead leader.
Wouldn’t that be cool?
Or if he just like Yaknow went rogue and locked all the commanders in a gym and burned it down?

we fucking called it two years ago. we called nick being given orders for a raid and trying to stall but then being forced to go through with it. we knew this was coming.
and like... i do think they’re doing a good job of showing it, but i think they could go more into the emotional toll it takes on him, like we wrote. and with that said, i’m going to self-promote our fic that covers this! our fic that predicted nick having his hand forced to carry out orders in a war that’s not his own

To answer your questions, happily we saw that Nick and June were in fact reunited in season 4, and we hope to see more of that in season 5.
We'd love to see a conversation between them about Nick's past one day, but for now we're content to live in the knowledge that June knowing about Nick's early involvement in the SoJ has not changed things between them. It's a testament to how strong they are and how much they love each other are that they are able to overcome all trials and tribulations. Love never fails. Season 4 was so good for reaffirming that June knows that Nick is a good man and that Gilead is a place where it's hard to be good and where so many choices are between bad options and worse ones. When they met on the bridge it was clear that June understood all of that. So if/when the time comes and they talk about what he did, we don't think it will hurt their relationship.
We'll pass on your thoughts to the writers of Safe and Sound, @dystopiandramaqueen and @splitscreen! We love the idea of the writers/producers reading the many wonderful Osblaine fanfics and being inspired. In fact, in season 4 we noticed a few similarities between fanfics and certain things in episodes... 👀 We don't mind sharing beautiful Osblaine ideas.

Osblaine week 2021, Day 2: Lyrics
Over the last several weeks, I have carefully curated a playlist for Osblaine. The final total length of the playlist is 2 hours and 53 minutes.

For full disclosure, I have to give some of the credit to my amazing fellow Osblaine fangirls @dystopiandramaqueen, @splitscreen and everyone who participated in a certain conversation for the original inspiration and even bringing up some of the songs.
You should look at the playlist in five parts: one section for each season that's aired and one section for the future (because I like to end things on a hopeful note).
The playlist contains a lot of the following:

Country music. I blame Florida. My sincerest apologies.
Some of the songs were chosen because they reminded me of a certain Osblaine scene, and some of them aren't specific to particular scenes but chosen for the general Osblaine vibe. And most of the movie/TV music I chose have been used for couples that remind me of Nick and June.

Commentary:
The first four songs cover June’s escape attempt and the time they share at the Boston Globe.
"Incomplete" is Nick's POV from when she's on the run and he knows she'll be gone from his life soon. He lives in the moment.

"I'll Be Your Shelter" is for when June's mental health is at its lowest point and he goes to Serena to beg for her to get June help.

P.S. I Love You takes me back to episode 2.09, Nick’s selflessness in the episode and of course the scene where after telling June that Luke loves her, he tells her that he loves her too, despite believing she probably doesn’t feel the same way.
It's A Girl makes me think of the beautiful moment they share during June's false labor when he helps her out of the van and they climb the steps together.
I’ll Stand By You is for 2.10, Nick holding June after she was heartbroken over Hannah and over what the Waterfords did to her and clinging onto him.
Part III- Season 3, next 6 songs:

Commentary:
For obvious reasons, it was extremely difficult to pick songs for this season.
The first (instrumental) song is for the beginning of the season with June coming back to the Waterford house and them then saying goodbye to each other on the street.
All I Ask, Never Enough, I Don't Wanna Live Forever and Love Is Gone are for their night together in June’s room at Lawrence’s (the one we didn’t get to see sigh). They know it's possible it's all they'll ever have, and they'll take it, but it'll never be enough.

"Constellations" is for their long separation and the doubts that I'm sure plagued them both during it. Would they ever see each other again?

Commentary:
There were sooo many songs I wanted to include in part IV, but I controlled myself and ended up with this particular dozen.
"She Was Like A Bright Light" and "Noah’s Last Letter" are an instrumental double punch to the gut for Nick’s time in Gilead during episodes 4.07-4.09. The first one is meant for when he finds out June made it to Canada, and the 2nd for is for when he starts to gather info on Hannah to give to June.
"What’s in the Middle" and "ivy" are June’s POV of episodes 4.07-4.09.
"What's In The Middle" has more of an angry and confused vibe, and June was definitely both in episodes 7 and 8.
Losing your head is such a common theme

On the other hand, "ivy" has this haunted vibe, but there's also reverence and acceptance, which she begins to achieve in episode 9.

The next three songs are of course all for their reunion in 4.09, and I couldn’t resist including the song that was actually played in the scene.
"The Story" draws the season to a close nicely, with June understanding that her current needs are different from what they used to be and that there’s someone who understands her completely (and it’s not Luke).
You see the smile that's on my mouth
It's hiding the words that don't come out

“Secret Love Song” is a more angsty tune about a love that’s still kept a secret like June and Nick’s love (as far as most people are concerned). Now that they’ve already made out in front of the man who raped and abused June and made Nick watch him do that, I want to believe they can let go of the secrecy in S5, at least when it comes to a few people.

“Bones” is about a relationship with a strong foundation, which IMO they do have. It will carry them in the future, too. They’re more into each other now than ever before and especially June is coming to terms with how strong that love is. They’ll weather any storm.

“Feels Like Home” is more hopeful. Their home is with each other and I hope that’s something that will be explored more in the future.
