OPLA fan cast polls - Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Kureha
Propaganda:
“The internet has spoken and mommy needs a job.” - Mar 31, 2023. Probably the only A-List celebrity I’d accept, she’s genuinely a fan of the show- enough that she expressed a bit of hesitation in an interview simply because she wanted to make sure the adaptation would be good and faithful first, before she started considering the job more seriously.
I mean, just look at her. Best bitch to ever bitch. She can put me trough hell and take my cash and I'll be thanking her.
She has been asking to play this character for the past few years but has said for a good bit her dream character to play would be Robin
She should really be miss Nico Robin, but this is her back up role
-Her favorite OP character is Chopper -The fandom's been asking for years and she already publicly asked Netflix so we'll see.
She is already an avid fan of One Piece (Chopper is her favorite) and has expressed interest in playing Kureha or Robin. Also she’s a very cool person.
She's old. She's a hag. She keeps trying to tell people the secret of her "youth". She's also a doctor who scams people. She heals them but she makes them pay way to much. She has a sort of adopted son that is a reeinder. He's a most wanted pirate and she owbs and wears a crop top with his face and bounty on it. She wears this at an official government meeting. She gives no fucks.
She's old enough to remember the treatment for diseases that were thought wiped out 100 years ago She can tell if your bones are infected with bacteria just by lightly pressing on your leg, and she can cure broken backs in only a week or so. She can also kick through brick walls if her patients run away. She mentored/raised Chopper, one of the greatest doctors in the world.
Old lady who dresses like she's heading to a rave and throws knives at people. She's wonderful.
she's a radical old lady who can and will kick your ass. she's a mean old doctor who will demand all the toilet paper and plum wine in your house as payment for treating you. she has a belly button ring & wears clothes that show it off despite the fact that the country she lives in is a perma-winter island

Pretty much like if you took a magical hag only instead of cursing people and abducting children, she was a trained medical professional.
Punk granny
Lini Eltring
A minor character, but very iconic. Old woman with white hair, parchment skin, and a backbone of steel. Notable quote: "At my age, if I make it up, it is still an old saying."
I really want to see Law meeting Dr. Kureha in person I think he’d be impressed and terrified and Kureha would be asking Law if he wants to know the secret to her youth.
One Piece — "There's no other word for it… but a monster!"
From Volume 42 - Chapter 407 / Season 5 Episode 290. Losing his fight against the CP9 agent Kumadori, Chopper is at his wits end. There is one Hail Mary he's capable of, but will he be able to keep his humanity?
Warning: This is ADHD line of thoughts trying to be organized.
Good, now I thought abt something - they say that the D clan are the enemies of the gods, yet somehow Luffy is now a god (is he the enemy of himself? Is he not a god?) and the Gorosei, wich are so-called gods, they are - or at least one of them - is a textbook demon. Not a god, if someone missed that.
So does that mean that the Gorosei are the D clan? Or did they transfer their clan moto to a different clan? Are the Gorosei a clan? They don't seem to be the descendents of any of the 20 kingdoms, they lived longer then at least 800 years, so they need to have a reason for them to be there, like, being an important & powerful clan. If the Gorosei are demons, does that mean that Imu is the devil?? Did someone with similar or the same power as Law came across thier path and now these six (Gorosei and Imu) are now immortal?
We do know that someone like Dr. kureha (idk if I spelled it right but if you don't remember, she's the witch form drum island) knew abt the D clan. And not like, 'ah yes, the D clan...' NO. She was like: "so the D clan is still alive!!" This is not the normal amount of knowledge abt the D clan. Mind you, Whitebeard, a pirate traveling all over the world didn't knew much abt the D clan. So is she someone special and we'll see har again someday or is it her age, 143yo, so she know something.
Did the Gorosei somehow managed to make the gods looks so bad that the they became world saving fellas, and those dudes the common people thought were the good guys -the gods- turned out to be criminals?
Idk why but it does sound kinda familiar... Do you guys remember Dressrosa? OR THE WHOLE SERIES ITSELF?!
I have questions and they need answers. I do not have them.
Do you guys have any theories or thoughts?
Edit: Dr. Kureha never said "clan", she said "will". Idk what to make of it.
