Also in Lost in Oz, Glinda has been alive since the original Dorethy, Meaning somehow shes at least 100 years old.

Yes!! This is something i’ve always tried figuring out!! Given, in the books, she’s even older than 100 years old, (She’s immortal), so who knows what her actual age is. I cannot figure out HOW this works if she was looked like a kid in Lost In Oz’s version when meeting Evelyn, the Original Dorothy’s descendent. I used to think Illusion magic, but as said in Lost in Oz and in the books, Glinda does not like Illusion magic. My next best guess is a that she somehow ages different, (Which doesn’t fully explain how she was an adult to the Original Dorothy, if she even was), or if it’s just aging magic.

It looked like Dracula was fascinated by the fact that there were other vampires. Strictly speaking, there were 3. What surprised him, however, was that the group also included 4 werewolves. Three young boys and a young woman. The fact that it came to rubbing was preprogrammed, but they all combined one thing. They were different from people. Magical. Dark. Dangerous. Oh and the fact that they can all consume blood as if it were a drink or a meal. The werewolves preferred meat.

A wine glass full of blood was served to everyone for the celebration. Louisa pushed it on to one of the vampires. If possible, she refrained from drinking it. "Well, I actually still have a meal invitation," Dracula remarked. "See it as a appetizer," one toasted.

The count took a sip and left it on his tongue get the taste, the story behind it. "Spaniard. But grew up in England. So no new spanish words for me. Something melancholy resonates, ”he concluded.

A little later the company had broken up into small groups. The witch spoke to her vampire friend, who looked very elegant and charming. Serious, but very friendly.

"I hope I don't bother you," interrupted the count with his striking smile. "Not at all. I should call Dorie anyway. ”, He said goodbye and left the witch with Dracula. "Dorie? His lover, no doubt. ” "Dorethy. Yes, ”she confirmed briefly. "I have the feeling you're stepping out of my way," he said straight out, putting one hand on her back and directing her a little apart from the other. “That is probably based on reciprocity. But you have so much to do, Renfield said. ” "Renfield tells a lot." Just then his smartphone rang. "Oh yes? This thing seems to be very stressful for you, ”she pointed to his jacket, in the inside pocket of which the device was stuck. She leaned forward and stood on tiptoe, since he was a lot bigger and whispered: "Your food is waiting." She smiled and left him.

He looked at the glowing screen. She was right. He had to go. Still, he paused to look at the smartphone and than to the witch. He wrote that he was on his way and nodded to Renfield to leave.

All of the og (season 1) Pripara characters with last names have a direction as part of their last name.

Manaka Lala (真中らあら) has the kanji for middle

Minami Mirei (南みれい) has the kanji for south

Hojo Sophie (北条そふぃ) has north.

Lala is the center of SoLaMi smile, putting her between north and south

Dorthy and Reona’s last name is West while Toudou Shion (東堂シオン) has the kanji for east.

All season one characters first names are part of the solfege scale

All the characters introduced in season 2 are based on the five senses and colors!

Shirotama Mikan is taste, always hungry and eating, name literally means mandarin orange. Her color is white, her last name having the kanji for white.

Kurosawa Aroma is smell, hence Aroma I think hers is the least fitting out of all of them but still works in the sense that smell and taste go hand and hand. Her color is black with the kanji in her last name.

Midorikaze Fuwari is touch, her name literally meaning gentle and her personality reflecting said gentleness. Her color is green and the kanji is once again in her last name.

Kiki Ajimi is sight as shown in her constant painting and love of colors and art. Her color is yellow as reflected in her last name once again.

Shikyouin Hibiki is sound, shown in her beauty singing and hatred of gobi as well as in her name that literally means echo. Her color is purple as shown in the first kanji of her last name.

Chiri and Pepper’s names form a pair, combining to be Chili Pepper, with their last names containing the kanji for moon and sun respectively. Again, the Manaka in Manaka Non is in the middle of the sun and the moon.

Non means sound or music in Japanese, thus forming a pair with her sister Lala as both have music themed names.

Week 5: History as a field and method of photographic research

History as a field gives us material we can use to research and investigate. You can search any photographer and image and movement to investigate its history as a field you need to ask yourself

what happened

Why did it happen

How was it possible it happened

These are just a few example to start your research and analysis of an image. To understand history as a method you need to understand what an image is. Every photo you take has a context without you even realising which can help you inevitably understand the image. However is the concept of idea more important than the actual image itself. Does the historical context change what the image is about and how we think about it.

One example giving was the photo taken for Apollo 8. At first glance this is an image of the moon and the Earth not much as else is given imagery wise in the photo. Without the context this is all you see but once you start to find out what the photo was taken for ie Apollo 8 and when this photo was taken ie 1960s you can research its context around this time. By doing this you realise this was the Cold War era and you start to investigate and gather information about the history of this time and the politics you don’t have just a beautiful image of the Earth but an image of war. This symbolising the history of that time and the political systems power and status informing us through imagery becomes so powerful. History therefore influences us without us even realising.

One of my favourite photographs of all time is Dorethy Lange Migrant Mother. At first glance at this photograph my interpretations was how beautiful this black and white photo is. I saw this as a photograph of a not so wealthy mother and her children I didn’t realise until I was given the context behind it how powerful this image is. Once you know the history behind a photograph it can influence your perceptions. This photograph was taken during the Great Depression 1936 and this iconic image had such an impact the government released money to help starvation in migrant camps.

This place becomes the photography hub in the harsh winter seasons when many exotic species of bird’s flock during the winter season. This village is considered as a remote Himalayan village which is surely a treat for explorers who want to explore hill stations without the crowd. Just 80 Km from the Pangot village is Corbett National Park that is a place for true wildness exploration. Different types of exotic birds like Himalayan Griffon, Spotted & Slaty-backed Forktail, Khalij pheasant and many others. You can also spot animals like Sambhar, Yellow-throated Himalayan Marten, Leopard Cat, Himalayan Goral, Red Fox, Wild Bear.  The vegetation of the area includes Pine, Rhododendron and Oak.
