Meet Raya’s Rag-Tag Team

We’ve got the thieving toddler Noi and her band of ongis taking up a lot of time being chased by Raya in the first few seconds of the trailer. Later we see the rest of the band: the formidable giant Tong, and the street-savvy entrepreneur Boun. There are so many scenes packed in the trailer I’ll make themed posts about the land, the clans, and Sisu.

Unconventionally-designed Disney Ladies! I like how they’re both villains as well!

I love Namaari’s design, as it’s very clear from the get-go she’s meant to be intimidating, athletic and someone that is not to be messed with. Her look DEFINITELY feels like a throwback to the more action-oriented Disney films of the early 2000s, specifically Atlantis.

Helga Sinclair was the first thought that came to mind for me, so I thought... “why not?”
