★ (Cat's Eye) Diopside! ★ - now in the intro™

This all took me a lot of effort and a good several days to finish, but I realized before I moved onto sketches using episodes as prompts, I wanted to recreate some shots from the S1 intro with my OC Diopside there. For the first two, I didn't draw the BGs, instead grabbing them right from the show. But for actual location backgrounds, I wanted to try my hand at drawing those as well! This was kind of a fun experiment, and filled me with a bunch of nostalgia while drawing, and I'll be glad to actually proceed with my rewatch now lol.

Chrome Diopside!

A specialised gem who was in charge of managing and assisting in the development of gem technology on Homeworld - though they also took part in the designing and construction of gem warships and weaponry during the war against the rebellion on earth. Their works and creations had quite the notable effect on the way Homeworld had evolved technologically.

As for what Chrome is doing around Era 3 & Future, they just remain in their workshop on Homeworld still tinkering with stuffs and other things that will likely never be put to their intended use.

(Unlike a lot of my other SU OCs, this one isn't in my Galactic Shards AU cuz- yeah.)

bUt ANYWAYS i love them and they're very silly

A bit of a break from the Pokemon-posting, here's something I was workshopping for awhile: Back in the day, before I even had a tumblr and posted on Deviantart, I made some wack, awful gemsonas in the early, early days of Steven Universe. Not only was I a child, and were they bad, they ended up not even fitting what would come to be the lore of the show. As of lately, I'd begun rewatching the show with some friends for a trip down memory lane, and it inspired me to right this wrong of my past. Introducing...

★ (Cat's Eye) Diopside! ★

She joined the Rebellion at the very end of the war through sheer happenstance, and fits in with all the other cat-related things in the series. Her arc is about her becoming more reliable and learning that it's always worth actually trying, or something! I even threw in all her regenerations, and a rough height comparison! I hope to do some rough sketches of her in the near future using episodes as prompts.

Gems are still seen and considered as females on Homeworld. However, gems on Earth began to take on more masculine forms and use masculine pronouns to describe themselves. They've found it more comfortable than the forms that they originally had. Others, if they feel comfortable with neither, will use more neutral pronouns to describe themselves.
