Parents au again shoutout to this post

Basically this au (or an addition to any other au ) Jekylls parents play a role in the story.

Margaret and Ernest

^ My most recent art of Jekylls mom Margaret, she plays a bigger role in the story. (And btw this art is scanned thought an app bc lighting wasnt great.)

^ My first art of them both(was trying to figure out their designs) Margarets red dress ended up being her newer clothing and orange one is her in the past.

^My full body refs of them a bit later. I hid Ernests eyes because i couldn't decide which eye colour to give him, green, so that he kinda looks like hyde, or brown. Ended up choosing brown but that may change in the future.

^Mix with encanto i watched at the time (not the biggest fan of this drawing their head sizes are weird)

^ Andd art with her missing her past and regreting her actions (mm trauma ☺️)

^ In those 3 drawings you can see i wanted to give her a lot of old spots before the initial desing (first picture) but ended up making less of them.

So uhh yeah thats a lot, now to context:

Margaret

[she/her] [60 y.o] [a doctor]

Hers and Ernests marriage was against their will so they have only platonic attraction

She inherited a hospital as a bisness. She is both a boss but also sometimes performs surgeries.

her shortened story [tw mention of death, abuse and depression]:

she was born in arranged marriage family.

her mothers murder was planned and made by her father (who is a leader of a mafia) because family would mess with his (secret) bisness. He sent a infected by him with rabies werewolf

but Margaret survived so he decided to leave her alive, but he used her only for his needs and was abusive and manipulative

She also had later o an arranged marriage with a man (Ernest) she knew from childhoid, but they only ever had platonic feelings for each other

Because of her father threatening her with leaving her with nothing to inherit from her family in his will, which would literally leave her on the streets, if she wouldn't have a child with her husband. At age 25 she had Jekyll.

Margaret grew with prejudice towards magical creatures and mad scientists (because of her mothers murder and the society's influence).

So when she found out her husband helps magical creatures and scientists (hid them from police in a little house in the woods) she on emotions went to the police.

Ernest was imprisoned. Where he died

so it become just her and her son now

for her son it was a hard hit, he loved his father very much

So resentment stayed with him

And Margaret also wasn't able to forgive herself ever since

She also was hyper-protective to her son and often manipulated him out of what she thought will be best for him

So one day they had a big fight because her son, Henry, wanted to create a place where the "mad" scientist who are in bad situation can have a chance to improve and not fear police anymore. She have done an ultimatum, that if he does that, he could never come back. (Or alternatively, when he changes his mind)

So he left, she was now alone, but instead of trying to fix what she had done, her pride didnt let her. Each passing year she convinced herself he will come back. For about 10 years.

she regretted her choices, her actions was haunting her which dived her into depression

But after a hard path, she will come to terms with herself.

That will happen after she will come to society to support it financially. And reunites with her son after them making peace with each other. Which dosent mean forgiveness from Jekylls side.

Alsoo there may be a sub plot about her and Frankenstein becoming "roomates".

Ernest

Well, he was a very positive and caring person. Despite that not that mature or responsible, Margaret was the responsible one. And face of the family.

While he was a househusband, and spent time with Jekyll. Thay got in trouble because Ernest didnt really twice while even little Jekyll sometimes was like "welp thats not a very good idea".

Also considering Ernest maybe inspiring Jekyll to be an alchemist. But himself he most likely had completely other interest. But still supported his son, unlike Margaret.

Mad scientists and creatures he cared for was caught with him, but they managed to escape.

His parents were mostly ignorant of his existence, exept for when that would make them a profit (like with the arranged marriage) . So he promised himself he would always care for Jekyll (🥲)

As to him and Margaret, they were pals, he always was with her when she finally was finally opening up to him. But hid his own feelings under a happy mask.

Was the same age as Margaret. Died when he was 36 (went to jail when he was 35) no one really knows what happened.

(i actually most of the time before were considering him to be alive and Margaret lying that he died, but i changed that for storys sake, i didnt felt like he had much of a purpose in the current status when jekyll is 35. BUT THAT MAY ALSO CHANGE IN THE FUTURE)

So in where hes alive version

I remember vividly daydreaming about jekyll/hyde being exited to see his/their dad after so many years, cleaning society etc while lodgers are confused. Him coming and jekyll being very exited and emotional but not knowing how to tell lodgers. Later on Margaret will come as she recieved an invitation by jekyll, which was actually written by Ernest to reunite their family. (Kinda sugar sweet compared to ver. where he died)

So uhh yeah this au was one of the most thinked about by me. Now not that much but its not forgotten ‼️

disney world Duchess plush which i THINK i got while it was still brand new release. ive ALWAYS been obsessed with this damn movie and my uncle lives in florida and got it for me before i can even remember. she went in a bit too hot water so her long fur is all wooly but shes mostly perfect besides 1 stain. i didnt take her a lot of places so she didnt get messed up. apparently goes for 50+ dollars these days even if conditions not great.

Finale commentary under the cut

So I wanted to kind of liveblog as I was watching but held back so these are my remembered reactions/second watch reactions

Bummed there was no song recap but quickly figured itd play at the end

PUPPY. Best part of the ep, lbr, Dean was so cute with him

Theyre really doing a cheesey life montage huh - still not clear whether monsters are a thing in this new world?

I was watching the mins tick by during this first montage like OKAY we get it, cheesey happy home life, move along. There was only 40 mins left of the whole show like get on with it, it went way too long

We definately needed to restablished that Sam is neat while Dean is messy. Totally necessary to spend time on that. Also didnt Dean get houseproud when they moved into the bunker?? What happened to that?

OMG get on with it

Then becomes apparent that hunting is still a thing. Which if so what was the point of showing then doing fucking laundry and dishes while “Ordinary life” plays - if its not just an ordinary life?

At this point i thought it might go the route of them being listless without hunting as a job but then murder scene so I guess not

This whole pie sequence is stupid and a waste of time, we all know it

Dean being a cold, heartless bitch about everyone being dead. Aces. Not unexpected but still just great. How dare you be so happy about pie fuck you dude.

I started skipping through during the murder scene. I was bored. Like, I dont care about tension building to the murder of a family we dont fucking know. Ive always skipped these scenes, what is the damn point. Its not scary or interesting.

Same old FBI bullshit. Nice to see the journal again I guess. But like, this is STILL what we’re doing? In the very last ep? Same old, different day, just like 15 years ago. Really?

I skipped through the interrogation too. I dont find the scary brother act cool or entertaining

15 mins in and nothing has happened

Theyre trying so hard to give Dean jokes and nothing is landing, its so cringe just stop

The way the little clown faces pop up - if that supposed to be scary? Really? Its all just so silly rn

Watching it again I realise just how easy this hunt is. The answer is in the journal. They find the exact family. They find the exact barn. The kids are just stood in a cupboard. This is what takes Dean out, really? Its not even a normal hunt, its a way too fucking easy one.

I do not remember this chick or what ep she was in, maybe theres some parallell or foreshadowing by bringing her back but if there is I dont get it

Bottom line if youre gonna bring people back WHY THE FUCK THIS RANDOM GIRL

I knew so fast he was gonna go out like that. Hanging from a fucking nail

I kept saying out loud not like this, no way, this is so stupid, its so stupid omg

I paused and tried to talk myself into putting aside how stupid and awkward it was for him to be doing this scene hanging off a pole and just try to invest in the emotion of the speech. Which I achieved at times

but why was is so awkward tho?? Just the way hes stood pressed against it is fucking weird. Also 1000% Sam couldve gotten help and he wouldve been FINE. It took so long for them to talk, an ambulance couldve been there before they were done, there was no need for this

Okay the speech did make me cry once I pep talked myself into being invested. The reference to being scared Sam would reject him, the I love you so much, Sam saying dont leave me, the stay with me and tell me its okay - all those moments got me and I did cry. I appreciated the family business line. I liked Jensen telling Jared he always keeps fighting, that was a nice reference.

BUT there were also those moments that made me scoff, roll my eyes or laugh. The whole “always you and me” bullshit especially. The second I knew he was going to say I’ll be in your heart I yelled at them to no do it, I hate that cheesey move, then literally was like “oh my god, he did it”. It WAS NOT always going to end like this - so much of the last 15 years was proving him wrong about that. This is all just so wrong, it is not good.

Jensen and Jared did a good job with what they were given in this scene but my god

The audacity of the Cas erasure- always you and me. FUCK YOU.

I laughed out loud when his last shot was a One Perfect Tear. I was literally like “Oh wow they did that”

DEAN DESERVED A BETTER DEATH

It also kinda loses all impact when you see him like 2 mins later

MIRACLE IS THE REAL MVP ILY

Theyre really doing another montage. Really. Like we get it, hes sad, we didnt need the toast to understand that

Cas has been out of the empty, helping rebuild heaven. Okay, fine. Even Dean’s reaction to hearing that was fine. BUT YOU ASK WHERE YOUR FUCKING BEST FRIEND IS AND GO SEE HIM. WHO IS THIS VERSION OF DEAN WTF

I know people are upset Cas is back working in heaven but I dont think its anything like before. It sounds like he helped fixed things then got his own heaven. Also he’s God’s Dad, hes not serving God, hes teaching him. I know human Cas done right is what we wanted but I dont hate this for him. BUT WE SHOULD HAVE FUCKING SEEN IT.

Why is a memory of being a kid with his Dad what Dean is reminiscing on. They have literally reverted him back to s1. There are so many memories dean should be thinking about in fucking heaven

This is the moment where you realise that this episode has changed NOTHING. This is the same ending as the last ep except theyre in heaven not on earth

Okay so they skip over how Sam went from going on a hunt to walking with a toddler. OMG how unsubtle that they have literally just labelled the child Dean in big yellow letters. I couldnt help but laugh, how fucking stupid.

I did get a bit teary when the music started I’ll be honest. But mostly through the whole montage (ANOTHER ONE) I was saying to myself This is so fucking stupid. omg this is dumb, what the fuck is this, so stupid.

They literally did a montage so long they had to play the song twice. Im just done at this point wow.

The old man make up is so bad I just laughed. The only pictures being of the 4 of them, reinforcing the Winchester only bullshit, great. Not even pics of this new random family Sam’s got. The painfully cliche Dad moments for Sam, again so bad its funny. Omg the hand on the head of this random kid, this is so ridiculous. Old man sam in his bad wig trying so hard to move like hes old and crying in the impala. Wtf is happening, this is SO STUPID

I thought theyd cast a more attractive son I’ll be honest. So he has the tattoo - are they a hunting family? Because that would go against both s1 Sam they’ve tried to go back to and the s15 Sam they build up to for all those years

I know they were going for an emotional parallel with that “you can go now” but this random man saying it to Sam in that make up, with the music cue lined up right there - its just funny coz its so dumb im sorry

I cant believe they actually played another different version, I’ll never get over that

hi hi howdy. its been a looooong time since we first made our mod intro (over 4 years, in fact!) so here’s an update! it’s mostly just an art update so no fancy new post lol. same sona same mod name

- our system name is crittertales, though the main headmate who posts art for us is jordyn/ovis/mask/dy/whatever name you know her by! other headmates may make art but we dont tag individually. just use critter as a collective name if youre unsure, but using our mod name to refer to us is more proper for this blog lol

- collectively we use she/they/animal neos but ovis mainly uses the ones listed in the ref, she/they/it/any neos. collectively we identify as aspec, abro, and queer, and the identities ovis identifies as are listed in the image description! (mainly the Big Ones she uses, not all of them)

- our big favorite ponies are pinkie pie and rainbow dash (both g4) and we also really like the ship of the two! but we’ll draw anything that catches our interest when we have the motivation for it

- we don’t use social media much anymore but our main blog is @cottonskittles. we’re much more active on discord both in terms of modding this blog/the server and in terms of socialization. feel free to drop by and say hi!

DAO really was the best game, the lore the ability to absolutely wreck shit, the fact that they didnt do that bullshit ‘all sides are grey’ and clearly showed oppression. I think of my warden, an elven mage, and wonder how she’ll be rewritten more than anything.

right like!!!! i love each dragon age game with my whole heart and they all have super special places in said heart, but origins handles a lot of the social problems really well, or at least from the perspective that i play it as (also an elven mage!)

the rest i’m putting under the cut bc holy shit i can talk abt dragon age a lot. also nothing is proofred. i’m so sorry this got so long i hear “bioware” and “grey morality” and i go wild

like i understand da2 having a type of grey-morality thing bc the final battle was choosing between the mages and the templars (tho imo they could’ve done better than “the mages hate us bc we keep them locked in a tower and there are multiple accounts of us abusing them and therefore some of them turn to blood magic so therefore we should kill all of them” but still, in a setting like that where the Main End Game Choice was mages vs. templars, then that is understandable)

(but also i haven’t played da2 in a couple years so maybe it’s more nuanced than that)

but inquisition! it’s weird bc inq has a super special place in my heart. i’ve played it 6 or 7 times to completion, not counting the other times i got 20/30 hours into it before external forces distracted me. inq is overall the game i think abt the most, most of my playthroughs average over 100 hours, it’s the only game that i have all the dlcs for, for me it’s the easiest to replay, and yet there’s so much that frustrates me abt it! like, i’m gonna avoid talking abt the actual parts of the writing that bother me, bc that can be it’s own standalone thing, but imo it felt like they never actually solidified what actually caused the mage/templar war? there are those that say anders started it (seems likely), then there are those who talk abt fiona leading the rebel mages in the war? and there, of course, is the “the templars have done wrong but so have they mages and therefore you’re shamed either way for what you do” like i Get what they’re trying to do, trying to encourage players to explore their options and really delve into their own moral values of the game and not just adhere to what the game says, but idk the way they always went abt it always rubbed me some type of wrong

i think part of it is bc, when people mention circle mages turning to blood mages and demons and such like that, it was always framed as “ah these evil mages!” and not “[if these are circle mages] most likely their want for freedom pushed them to that”

does that make it right? no, not necessarily! look at uldred from dao! imo, he was wrong! i don’t like the circle and my warden herself has a complicated relationship with it, but i like that you can say “hey! this is wrong!” without legitimate plot-based “but what if it isn’t?”

of course there will always be companions who push for the more chaotic/harsh choices (morrigan is the one i have the most experience with giving me disapproval for being what i think is nice) (still love her tho), but i think dao handled “okay, look at the big picture, and really think abt what hill u want to die on” stance well

and then there’s the way the mage/templar thing is handled in inquisition vis a vis companions. specifically cullen. and, listen, i as a player have a very complicated relationship with cullen and my heros do too lmao. and i really don’t want to get into the nuances of that bc that can 1) turn into a fight i don’t feel like having and 2) can be it’s own discussion, but basically, from my own perspective, he’s a well-written character who makes for a good antag to a mage-siding hawke in da2 bc of how pro-templar/anti-mage he is. again, don’t agree with any of it (honestly da2 alone puts me on the “okay fuck this” level w/ his character), but it does offer an extreme that is interesting to see. origins is more complicated bc in a game not directly stepped in mage/templar and also a game that stems from 6 different origin stories, it’s very easy to be a non-mage and be like “why do i care abt this guy” (if you get what i’m saying? like i got immediately invested in saving the mages bc my first warden was a circle mage so i was very put off by being told to kill all of them, as compared to if i played a non-mage origin and didn’t really have that background knowledge). but overall, origins and da2 puts cullen on the “pro-templars, mages are more dangerous than they are good side.” and then inquisition is where things get interesting!!

and, for a quick ref, i’m very into getting invested in my characters and really figuring out their morals and what they would actually do, or at least think, so dai becomes interesting bc i play as another elven mage who has never stepped foot in a circle and never will. so, bc of that, i play him as naturally more inclined to not initially Think abt cullen’s past like as a templar bc, as a dalish mage, i hc that he does not know what actually goes on in circles (as compared to my warden, a circle mage, and my hawke, an apostate) (but i hc that, overtime, as he has more and more experiences with templars, he becomes more cognizant of that) (but bioware doesn’t give me the option to just dictate everything my camris lavellan is thinking akjsjkdjk)

and dai-cullen, imo, is actually very interesting! and, tbh, i do have to give it to bioware. i feel like i’m abt to say an unironic controversial opinion, and i feel like i’ve already talked abt the nuances of all of this, but i do think dai did well at reworking cullen’s character. however, i feel like that was also done to feed into the grey-ness of the mage/templars. and, imo, i think they almost did well at actually making cullen show regret for how he treated mages. almost. again, i think there’s a lot of nuance! bc we do see him show some type of regret for how he treated a mage!warden (if he said all that shit like “all these people’s blood are on your hands” if u talk abt not wanting to kill innocent mages) and we do see him step away from templar life (that is, if you tell him to stop taking lyrium)

but!!!! there’s One Thing that puts a thorn in this, and it’s that cullen says something along the lines of, “meredith wasn’t all wrong, she had reason” like bitch!!! no matter what side you choose in da2, you fucking fight meredith!!! she’s wanted to kill innocent mages/make them tranquil even before anders blew up the chantry!!! meredith was all wrong!! she was evil!!!!! she was objectively a harmful person!!!!!!!!! bioware really makes this bitch the final boss of da2 and then has the audacity to say “but maybe she wasn’t all bad” in dai like WHERE IS THIS FOR ORSINO??? ORSINO ISN’T ALL BAD, IS HE???????? OH BUT HE IS BC HE RESORTED TO SUDDEN BLOOD MAGIC IN THE LAST TEN MINUTES OF THE GAME, AS COMPARED TO MEREDITH WHO WAS A DANGER FOR THE ENTIRE FINAL ACT and i digress but the fact that bioware is trying to redeem cullen but also showing that he still sympathizes with a woman who 1) turned against the templars and 2) Literally Everything She Did To The Mages always makes me “hmmmm are u really trying tho :/”

also tho one thing i’m actually not the biggest fan of is that cullen is like “oh i knew hawke in passing........ knew varric in passing.............” meanwhile let’s just cut to everything that happened at kirkwall. this is my own opinion bc i see varric as hawke’s #1 but i personally think that at least half of the comraderie varric and cullen sorta-kinda-had in inq was varric testing the waters of “okay what is cullen going to be like if and when hawke shows up”

also tho i will say a hot-take of mine is that if cullen gets to be redeemed by bioware, then i want something for anders, too, but i doubt bioware would do something so clearly pro-mage. but it could be two sides of the extreme! extremist templar gets redemption, extremist mage does, too! come on, bioware, show your grey morality

(again, i think it’s interesting what they did with cullen in dai and does give some sympathetic light but i also do think the reworking of his character was working towards bioware’s moral-greyness agenda with dragon age. not that that’s necessarily a terrible thing, i understand them wanting some nuance, but it’s the way they do it. like, you can show bad templars and bad mages and still not have “but who is really the bad guy? the oppressors or the oppressed? who is it really?”)

(and also just bc i feel like i need to put my own player claim in this, my opinion on cullen is complicated and also i’m gonna be completely forth-right with u, dear anon, i appreciate cullen in inquisition but, as a whole, he can be terrible to ur warden in dao (that’s not me being shifty it literally just depends on the choice you make in broken circle) and in da2 he’s a nightmare, so bioware had to do a lot of legwork in dai) (tbh tho in my personal-player opinion, if i was to ever romance cullen in inq, it’s not gonna be with a mage)

god this got so out of hand anon i’m so sorry you probably didn’t want this messy essay but i just love talking abt dragon age!!! i think abt it a lot and i have five years worth of headcanons and i have a family tree set up for my surana/lavellan bc of some bullshit i pulled and also!!!! bioware’s writing can get so frustrating but i also think it’s so interesting to pull apart and discuss bc i think the bioware has actually shifted from pro-mage (origins) to neutral-mage (da2 kinda) to anti-mage (dai) and i feel like So Many Choices with characters and their plots reveal that!!! so it’s a frustrating agenda but i also just love dragon age so much that i can’t help but get excited and talk abt it!!!

like, as all things, i do believe there are times when grey morality does work, but, at least from a mage-siding perspective, it hasn’t really landed well for dragon age. bc, and i don’t want to drag in real-life scenarios bc i feel like it would be incredibly inappropriate of me to use any oppressed minority as a comparison for a fantasy world, but it’s the age-old thing of people saying the shitty “but the oppressed fight back and therefore they’re just as bad as the oppressors!” and that’s like....... not how it works.

but also you’ve caught me in a wonderful mood so i feel like, if i was in a bad mood, this would be a lot more “and fucking bioware can’t make a goddamn decision on what side they actually support so instead most of the companions are gonna made rude remarks abt you supporting mages and the ones that support you are seen as distrustful and fuck this and fuck that” but i think that is the joy of loving something with you’re whole heart and also saying “there are so many things abt this that piss me off and so many things that i would change”

and also!!!! ik bioware probably killed my warden so like rip electra surana but i would love for the warden to make an appearance in da4 as a temporary companion/advisor. but! but!!!!!! i also don’t know how much i trust bioware with my “elven mage who is alistair’s mistress and preferred the mages and wanted to free the circles and etc etc etc” bc... idk how to explain it? like, i don’t want them taking my warden and putting words in her mouth that go against choices i meticulously made in dao

Loved your Shiro and Jason Todd piece and just every piece you've done! As someone who wishes to make webcomics and art in the future, do you have any tips for improving drawing styles? (i.e. body position, expressions, that sort of stuff). I always love seeing when you post something new. Keep up the great work!!

Thank you very much!!!! I’m flattered you’d ask me all of this but I don’t think I’m really good at giving advice so sorry if this sucks ahahI think the most important to improve is looking at a lot of stuff. Like if you see a drawing you like? Try to zoom in, see the lines and try to figure out how the artist worked, if that makes any sense ahahahI do that with animations too, I slow down videos to try and see the movements step by step.As soon as there’s something you like, draw it! That artist you love? Try to imitate one of their pieces! but I’m not talking of like just tracing over their lines again: try to see what they were doing when they drew it and understand it.Don’t do that only though, do your own stuff too! I copied so much Naruto stuff when I was younger you have no idea, but I also experienced my own things, mixed styles I liked to keep the things I loved more about each one. Also try to look at things irl too, like look at the way this strand of hair falls in your mom’s face or how this dog’s ears are shaped and how they’re linked to it’s head, how that coat drapes over that chair, stare at your hand in class and see how your fingers bend, look at everything and try to understand how it works. I’m not sure if I’m making sense but the example I use the most is drawing eyes: i started drawing eyes by copying an artist on Deviantart I liked, and she did that thing were she drew eyes like this:

that really cartoonish look you know? just this half circle, and I thought it looked cool and also it was easy to do, unlike these freaking anime eyes with a million things going on in the irises that I drew before that, so i did half circles to draw eyes for a loooong time when i was younger. But they looked kinda weird:

(btw it’s costing me a great amount of ego to show this ahaha)

So they’re weird, first because, well, you’re not good at drawing at 12, except if you have a gift from the gods or something, but also because i didnt take the time to think about why the artist did half a circle in the first place. She did it because she had started with drawing the whole eye and learning how it worked, knew how the lid folded over the eye and how it would look from the side, and then she kept on simplifying it while progressing, and she ended up with half a circle that worked as an eye, because she’d gone through the whole process of drawing it ‘’well’’ in the first place. I just drew half a circle.

So copy stuff, shamelessly imitate that style you like, draw that OC you thought about the other day from scratch, but also take time to look at things in detail and memorize as much as you can!John Howe came to our school and told us to take interest in as much things as possible, so that when the time comes and you have to draw that thing, you’ll know how even without having to look at reference (and I’m not saying using reference is bad, it’s super important too so save every piece of ref you can!)

As for expressions literally almost all my knowledge comes from stupid faces the characters made in mangas ahaha

I also do faces while drawing sometimes, it’s not voluntary but I guess it helps? make a face in the mirror and try to see what makes that expression recognizable, like the way your teeth show in the corner of your mouth or that scrunch your nose makes. But I’ll probably do some sort of expression chart or something one day cause I got an ask about that a while ago, so look out for that :)

I’m always learning and I still have a long way to go, but it’s important to appreciate little victories and the progress you make, and to keep drawing even when you feel like you’re never getting any better! I hope this helped, even a little, and sorry if I’m babbling and it doesn’t make any sense in the end ahaha

so yeah i never write about bright so. here it comes!!!

another bright early morning with bright. ok wait i need a way to differentiate the adjective bright from the character bright. for this script i will be capitalizing Bright's name

Bright is just el waking up from being asleep all night i guess? more like after passing out from exhaust. Bright, a being of bioluminescence, has often found it difficult to get some decent shuteye, due to being really bright. id like to see you try to sleep with glowing eyes and eyelids. actually no thats creepy i do /not/ want to watch you sleep.

but yeah bedtimes aside, Bright is just waking up this morning, actually fairly well rested. he goes to the bathroom and brushes his freakin teeth and all and uh.

so he gets dressed in Proper clothes (that you cant really see anyways because Bright is just too effin bright) and steps out of his room

bright: ok so what was the plan for today

Bright only a little bit talks to himself like only for remembering things or like when youre watching the movie and the character is alone and hes talking to himself so the audience knows what hes thinking. you know what i mean?

bright: theres reffing, then book club, then uh. hm *goes back inside and checks the calendar* well i guess i just dont have much planned today. i got all dressed up for nothin haha.

bright: hm.

bright: guess ill walk around and see whos up

like literally hes only talking to himself so you know what hes thinking about now. i guess

so Bright locks his door and walks down the hallway to the elevator and rides it down to the third floor

el bright: *walks over to room 326 and knocks on the door quietly*

[a short pause] tallstar: just a minute im getting dressed

bright: w- oh ha, good one

tallstar: (upon arrival to the door) thanks ive been pr*clears throat*acticing

bright: so whats up

tallstar: nothing much i just kind of, got up. ... .,,. ,any plans?

bright: well, actually, not really. todays pretty empty for me, but like i havent had breakfast yet so if youre not up to anything maybe we could go hit the diner or something?

tallstar: really? with: me? a-re you asking, me.. out??

bright: ahaha yeah! i mean!! not asking you out.. like technically that would be asking you in. since its still inside the... no i mean i /am/ asking you, but just as a friend. friends hang out and eat food sometimes, it happens.

tallstar: oh! hahah*choke*hh o-ok well wbut i gotta say to you. to tell you. im real sorry *swallow* but uh i ghave admit i always thought of you as more of a friend of a friend.. you know? with henry

bright: thats fair, we dont really hang out all too much and he is usually there when we do.

oh man im so tired suddenly its like 12:34 am right now

when we left off bright was asking tallstar to breakfast but i was too tired to write him saying yes and putting that dialogue now disrupts el flow so im just telling you instead

and its not like a date or anything

so bright and tallstar are sitting at a table since tallstar doesnt really fit in the booth. but dont worry its not like hes never had the chance to sit in a booth, like, ever or something. hes sat in booths before

here comes the waiter

waiter: good morning, my name is Staff Member #4, ill be your waiter. do you want to start off with some drinks now?

bright: ill have some orange juice

waiter: uh huh... and what would you like? *looks at tallstar expectantly*

tallstar: uh ill just have a water

waiter: ok! anything else?

tallstar and bright both look like theyre about to say something but its impossible to tell because brights face has no contrast and tallstar just has no face. there is a long silence

waiter: alright well ill go get your drinks and you can figure out what you want to eat. *leaves*

tallstar: achoo!

bright: bless you

tallstar: thanks

a long uncomfortable pause

bright: hey uh... did you want anything else?

tallstar: oh, no, and, i was wondering the same thing, i just didnt want to *stomach growl* ha um i didnt want to say like "no were good" without knowing if you were done ordering *coughing*

bright: yeah same here, same here

tallstar: right

the waiter comes back with the drinks

waiter: heres your water and heeres youur orange juice. have you decided what you guys want to eat yet?

bright: not really, i still need some time to think

tallstar: yeah i uh forgot to look im sorry

waiter: thats fine, enjoy your drinks and ill be back later to check up on you guys ok?

tallstar and bright simultaneously:

just kidding, bright says ok but tallstar coughs

the waiter leaves again and bright takes a sip of orange juice and the whole thing is pretty awkward its like awful i feel like this script is bad but i! dont care :)

tallstar: ok yeah this is *noise* starting to feel like a date

bright: yeah, youre right, my bad. youre a pretty good date, though

tallstar (flustered): wh-dont flirt with me!!! thhats just makes it.,,, more of a date!!,,..

bright: sorry aa!!

bright part 3: revenge of the fallen

tallstar and bright have gotten their food. bright ended up ordering some kind of omelet and tallstar got some pancakes. ooh babay

bright takes a bite of his omelete

bright: hey this is really good

tallstar: what did you order

bright: uh the *reading off the menu* "hey cool wow omelete". hows your pancakes?

tallstar: theyre the *gasp* "cool guy flappetty jacketties" and i havent tried them yet. who names these things? haha

bright: yeah i know righ—

bright has a sudden and shocking revelation: he has no idea whatsoever how tallstar eats, or if he needs help, or if he eats at all or.,, anything.

and now he wants to know

bright: –t.

but is it rude to ask?? it seems kind of. strange and personal but like. it seems like something people always would be asking... like is he tired of explaining? i

bright just looks down at his plate just. like eyes widened from shock and surprise you know?? not that you can see the eyes since. bright is very. glowing.

absentmindedly poking at his omelete, bright just wants to avoid eye contact? but of course bright remembers that nobody can see his face, and therefore no matter what face he makes nobody will be the wiser that. hes making a really weird face. like the face you make when you arent sure if you should say something that you really want to say.

tallstar: oh this tastes good

bright looks up at tallstar and then down at tallstars plate to see a big bite taken out of his pancake

bright:

bright: can i ask you kind of a personal question

tallstar: uh..,,

tallstar: ..yeah ok sure

bright: its just

bright: how did you... eat that

tallstar: oh... hahaha!! i thought it was ... gonna be really personal!

tallstar laughs genuinely and bright laughs nervously

tallstar: no but like check it out its *half cough* really cool look

he then turns sideways and uses his arm thing to cut a piece of his pancake out, then he leans down forward and pokes his arm thing through the pancake, and then he leans backward and lets the pancake slide down his arm (he doesnt eat it with syrup or this would be real gross) and land on the weird circle thing at his center torso dealie. then he sort of. the circle part just. absorbs the pancake slowly. its. wow. what the. wh. ok. hwow. ok. alright. uhhhhh

bright: w— wow.

tallstar: pretty cool right??

bright:
