శాంతాకారం భుజగశయనం పద్మనాభం సురేశం విశ్వాకారం గగన సదృశం మేఘవర్ణం శుభంగం లక్ష్మికాంతం కమల నయనం యోగి హృధ్యాన గమ్యం వందే విష్ణుమ్ భవ భయహరం సర్వలోకైక నాదం.

దక్షిణాయనానికి చివర, ఉత్తరాయణానికి ముందుడే ధనుర్మాసం ప్రాత:కాలంలా పవిత్రమైంది. ధనుర్మాసం అంటే దివ్య ప్రార్థనకు అనువైన మాసం అని అర్థం. సంక్రాంతికి ఒక నెల ముందు నుంచి ధనుర్మాసం ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. సూర్యుడు ధను రాశిలో ప్రవేశించడంతో ధనుర్మాసం మొదలవుతుంది. తిరిగి సూర్యుడు మకర రాశిలోకి ప్రవేశించే సంక్రాంతి రోజుతో ధనుర్మాసం ముగుస్తుంది. ధనుర్మాసం ప్రారంభాన్నే పల్లెటూర్లలో సంక్రాంతి నెల పట్టడము అంటారు. కురువృద్ధుడు భీష్ముడు అంపశయ్య మీద ఉండి ఉత్తరాయణ పుణ్యకాలం వచ్చేవరకు ఆగి ఆ పుణ్యకాలం వచ్చాకే మరణించిన సంగతి అందరికీ తెలిసిందే.

భక్త వత్సలుడైన ఆ శ్రీమహావిష్ణువుకు అత్యంత ప్రీతి పాత్రమైనది “ధనుర్మాసము”. ఈ మాసములో ఆ స్వామిని ఉద్దేశించి చేసే చిన్నపాటి పూజాది క్రతువైనా అక్షయ, అమోఘ సత్పలితాలను ప్రసాదిస్తుంది. ఈ మాస దివ్య ప్రభావము వల్లే గోదాదేవి సాక్షాత్ ఆ శ్రీ రంగనాయకుని పరిణయ మాడిందనే విషయం మనకు పురాణాల ద్వారా తెలుస్తుంది. సాక్షాత్‌ భూదేవి, అవతార మూర్తి అయిన అండాళ్‌ రచించిన దివ్య ప్రబంధమే తిరుప్పావై. ‘తిరు’ అంటే మంగళ కరమైన అని , ‘పావై’ అంటే మేలుకొలుపు అనే అర్ధం వస్తుంది.

ఈ మాసంలో విష్ణువును మధుసూధనుడు అనే పేరుతో పూజించి, మొదటి పదిహేను రోజులు చక్కెర పొంగలి లేదా పులగం స్వామికి నైవేద్యంగా సమర్పించాలి. తర్వాత పదిహేను రోజులు దద్యోజనం అర్పించాలి. పెళ్లిడు అమ్మాయిలు తమ ఇళ్లముందు ముగ్గులు, గొబ్బిళ్లతో పూజలు చేయటం వల్ల కోరిన వరుడు లభిస్తాడు. గోదాదేవి మార��గళి వ్రతం పేరుతో విష్ణువును ధనుర్మాసమంతా పూజించింది.

🌻. ధనుర్మాస వ్రతం 🌻

ధనుర్మాస వ్రతాన్ని ఆచరించేవారు గోదాదేవి, కృష్ణుని లేదా శ్రీ రంగనాథులను అర్చిస్తారు. తిరుప్పావై పాశురాలను రోజుకొక్కటి గానం చేయాలి. ఈ మాసంలో ఒంటి పూట భోజనం ఆచరించాలి. బ్రహ్మచర్యం ఉత్తమం. భగవంతుని నామాన్ని కీర్తిస్తూ, పలు రకాల పువ్వులతో స్వామిని పూజించింది గోదాదేవి. శ్రీ రంగనాథులు, గోదాదేవి కల్యాణం చేయాలి. మనస్సు, మాట, శరీరం పరిశుద్ధంగా ఉంచుకోవాలి. ధనుర్మాస వ్రతం, మార్గశీర్ష వ్రతం, సిరినోముగా పిలుచుకునే ఈ నోము ఆచరిస్తే మనసుకు నచ్చే వ్యక్తిని భర్తగా పొందుతారట. ఈ మాసంలో స్వామి వారికి పొంగలి నైవేద్యంగా పెట్టాలి.

ఈ నెలలో ప్రతిరోజు సూర్యోదయానికి కంటే ఐదుఘడియలు ముందుగా నిద్రలేచి కాలకృత్యాలను పూర్తిచేసుకుని, తలస్నానం చేసి నిత్యపూజలు, సంధ్యావందనాలను ముగించి, అనంతరం ధనుర్మాస వ్రతాన్ని ఆచరించాలని మన పురాణాలు తెల్పుతున్నాయి.

ఈ మాసంలో స్వామివారిని ఆవు పాలు, కొబ్బరి నీరు, పంచామృతాలతో అభిషేకిస్తే తమ కుటుంబం సుఖసంతోషాలతో ఉంటారని భక్తుల విశ్వాసం. ఈ మాసమంతా విష్ణుపురాణాన్ని, విష్ణుగాథలను చదువుతూ గానీ, వింటూగానీ గడపడం, వైష్ణవాలయాలను దర్శించడం చేయాలని, అలాగే ఈ నెల రోజుల పాటూ ఈ వ్రతాన్ని చేయలేని వారు 15 రోజులు గానీ, 8 రోజులు గానీ, 6 రోజులు గానీ, 4 రోజులు గానీ, లేదంటే కనీసం ఒక్కరోజు నిష్టతో ఉంటే స్వామివారి సంతృప్తి చెంది కోర్కెలు తీరుతాయని మన పురాణాలు తెలుపుతున్నాయి. తిరుమలలో ధనుర్మాసం నెలరోజులు, సుప్రభాతం బదులు తిరుప్పావై గానం చేస్తారు. విష్ణు ఆలయాలల్లో ఉదయం పూట అర్చనలు చేసి నివేదనలు చేసి వాటిని పిల్లలకు పంచుతారు. దీన్నే బాలభోగం అంటారు

ఈ నెల రోజులూ హరిదాసులకీర్తనలతో, జంగమ దేవరలతో, గంగిరెద్దుల ను ఆడించేవారితోనూ సందడిగా వుంటుంది. ముంగిళ్ళలో కల్లాపి జల్లి, ముత్యాల ముగ్గులతో కనుల విందుగా వుంటాయి. ధాన్యపు రాశులను ఇళ్ళకు చేర్చిన రైతుల సంభారాలతో పల్లెలు “సంక్రాంతి “పండుగ కోసం యెదురు చూస్తూ వుంటాయి. ఈ ధనుర్మాసంలో ఉభయ సంధ్యలో ఇల్లు శుభ్రం చేసి దీపారాధన చేయటం వల్ల మహాలక్ష్మీ అనుగ్రహం లభిస్తుంది. దరిద్రం దూరం అవుతుంది. ఇంటి ముందు ముగ్గులు వేసి గొబ్బెమ్మలు పెట్టి వాటిని బియ్యంపిండి , పసుపు , కుంకుమ, పూలతో అలంకరించి పూజిస్తారు. లక్ష్మి రూపంలో ఉన్న గొబ్బెమ్మలను పూజించడం వల్ల మంచి జరుగుతుంది. ధనుర్మాసంలోనే వైకుంఠ ఏకాదశి "ముక్కోటి ఏకాదశి" వస్తుంది. ఆరోజు బ్రాహ్మీ ముహూర్తంలో అందరూ ఉత్తర ద్వార దర్శనమున స్వామి వారిని దర్శించుకుంటారు. స్వామి వారికి ఆ రోజు తులసి మాలను సమర్పిస్తారు. ఈ మాసంలో ప్రతి రోజు బ్రాహ్మముహూర్తంలో పారాయణం చేసిన వారు దైవానుగ్రహానికి పాత్రులగుట తథ్యమని శాస్త్ర వ్రచనం.
