VADTD New outfits for the male leads!

On X (formerly Twitter), SUOL-nim shared a sketch with the outfits worn by the male leads for Callisto's birthday banquet.

She mentions: "In general, a lot of basic clothing items were used for each character (in the case of Reynold, he wears his everyday clothes a little differently, and in the case of Derrick, it feels like a different version of the knight's uniform). The white-black contrast between Derrick and Callisto was intentional."

Crying at the realization that Reynold barely had a role in the story-

Was he even mentioned when normal mode was being discussed? As I recall it, Callisto was mentioned killing Penelope and falling in love with Ivonne and making her empress, Winter was mentioned to have turned back time at the end and brought her to the estate, Eckles was loyal to Penelope but switched to Laila's side and took care of her, Derrick... Well his role was also minimal if I recall correctly, but!

...But then there's also the route Penelope's taking in the current timeline, following the plot. So little is mentioned about Reynold!

For example, what are his ambitions? Penelope wants to survive, Callisto wishes to be the perfect emperor, Winter wants to save the world, Derrick wants to be succeed and become a duke that can care for and protect his family Eckles wants freedom, Laila wishes to become immortal and rule the world, *the empress wants to throne her son*, but what of Reynold?

Unless he really, truly, just wanted nothing more than to bully Penelope at first and have her kicked out of the house, and then be one of the babygirls that take care of her without end...?

I try coming up with headcanons about his life during and after the main story, but there's so little to work with (Although it's not just with him for after the main story, but also all the other mls) 😭

I've seen him training, so perhaps he wishes to become a swords master? But it's highly likely it's just because he'll eventually become the commander of knights and he has to do this-

Maybe, he'll work to protect commoners better after learning Penelope's story in the attic scene? Since he's compassionate? Like Robin Hood, as someone once said to me?

Or he could build a fortune gambling-

But I need more about him!!!! Or my life as a Reynold stan will be incomplete-!

Her expression looks so cute and innocent, she’s adorableeee

The purple dress is finally here and it’s nothing like I had expected. It’s so elegant, and it actually gives me slight villainess vibes despite her cute expression. AND HER HAIR IS SOOOOO—we’ve never seen this hairstyle on Penelope, I’m so happy we’re getting something new for her too ( ⌯◞◟⌯)♡

For context, it was mentioned how in the past, Penelope was embarrassed of being escorted by an ‘old man’ so the Duke didn’t expect of her to agree this time to be escorted by him. That’s sooo cute, he’s just happy to spend time with his daughter, they’re the cutest (◜ω◝)

Reynold and Penelope’s interactions were hilarious. And the fact that Penelope canonically kicked someone in the groin. Icon. She mothered again.

Also I like how Reynold remembered how Penelope asked him to remain with her during the hunting tournament’s opening banquet, so this time he made sure to stick around for longer. Now that’s a good character development

Callisto the man you are, he came and saved the day when Derrick asked Penelope do dance. Respectfully—Derrick go dance with a chair, release us of your presence.

Callisto nation we won. He gagged us bad.

You know a character is loved and done well when everyone freaks out at the mere appearance of his hand/leg.

AND HE FINALLY WEARS SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHITE WRAAAAAH

and when derrick, the duke, and reynold heard your plan to leave the house just for some unnamed bastard. they are all angry, they're really angry but not to you but to that bastard who corrupted their sweet and innocent (first name).

and the day finally arrived. you were really happy that you managed to sneak out of your room without derrick, your father, and reynold noticing. but your happiness changed into despair when you got outside.

there, you saw your father and penelope with a bunch of knights behind them. when you saw them, you felt betrayed. you know the reason why your father and your family knights were there. penelope told them about your plan.

you tried to run away from them but the duke ordered the knights to catch you without hurting you. and then when the knights caught you, the duke locked you up in your room.

you shouted and begged them to let you out. you keep on begging them until your throat hurts. but the duke didn't listen. he already lost ivonne and he doesn't want to lose you too.

they're doing all of this for your sake, so why are you so unhappy about this?

and remember your lover? the person who corrupted you? you don't have to worry about him anymore! since your dependable brothers (derrick and reynold) already killed took care of him!

now, they just need you to act like your old self and everything will be back to normal.
