Just...noise. Their partner chewing loudly/ with their mouth open, talking way too loudly, and picking their nose. Also, their partner queue jumping.

Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?

He snores really loudly and he gets up a lot of times during the night: first he might wanna get a midnight snack, then drink some water, then go to the toilet, then go open the window 'cause it's hot, and the list goes on. Yes, all that in one night.

Those endearing moments where you catch your partner sleeping and they just look so cute? Yeah, never happening with Martin, he's either up or snoring. He also sometimes uses words the wrong way 'cause English isn't his first language.

Demetra:

Do they have any pet peeves about their s/o?

Just, anything that makes her feel like her presence is unappreciated. Cancelling on her the last minute when she had a whole date planned.

When she's talking about something important and her partner keeps interrupting her and not letting her speak.Her partner starting an argument in public or while they're in front of people they know.

Her s/o being on their phone when they're alone with each other. Also her partner leaving her messages on read without even reacting with a heart. (poor dem)

She texts like she talks: let's say she needs to say a lot via text, instead of writing one big paragraph, she'll end up sending 10 different text bubbles.

They're lazy, and it's more of a lifestyle than a habit. He also makes a lot of useless group chats for everything, him and his friends are going to the cinema next Friday?

Harley loves to just sit and talk with people, especially her lover. So her pet peeve would be when she wants to talk but it becomes a monologue 'cause her partner just stares at her and answers with monosyllables.

When Harley and her partner have planned to do an activity, and her partner keeps saying they're about to go get dressed so they can go, but it's been 3 hours and they still haven't done that.

Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?

She's an early bird. Say her s/o accidentally wakes up at 7:00 am, they'll find that Harley has already left, made coffee, left a a cute note saying

"brb!!! wanted to go on a run! I love you!!"

and bought groceries. They'll fall back asleep and wake up an hour later and Harley would have come home, wrote a song about how cute her partner is when they sleep, and bought them a bouquet with their favourite flowers.

Basically lazy mornings together are non existent with her and she'll prolly accidentally wake her partner up like 3 times in a morning.

Echo:

When her s/o folds a page on a book instead of using a bookmark, or when they doodle on her textbook with a pen when she'd planned on selling it afterwards.

Also the phrases "Are you angry?" and "Why are you so quiet?" when she's just existing.

Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?

Echo will stay up the whole night playing a video game, watching a series or reading a book, their partner will go to sleep and wake up to find her in the same position. There comes the question: has she slept at all?

The answer is no.

She'll even try really really hard to convince her s/o to stay up with her so they can be together.

Echo will also literally terrorise her partner, she loves sneaking up on people and she's such a try-hard about it. She won't just sneak up on people, no; she'll even use her abyss powers to teleport behind her s/o and scare them.

Dominic:

Do they have any pet peeves about their s/o?

Bad hygiene, especially bad breath/ yellow teeth. Bad communication, like his s/o giving him the cold shoulder after they had a disagreement.

Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?

He's a workaholic, if he can work on a book he's writing, research a specific type of affinity, or read a book about magic theory, he will. This man doesn't know how to relax, his partner will have to force him to sit down and chill together.

He is also probably addicted to playing chess on his phone, if he isn't working or spending time with his partner, he's on the chess.com app. Specifically, the 3 minute long matches, which he'll lose anyways 'cause he forgets he only has 3 minutes and he'll spend an eternity before making any move.

All this 'cause he watched one (!) episode of The Queen's Gambit (didn't have the time to watch the rest, he says).

Tanz der Vampire March 5th 2023

Um holy fuck???? Wouldn’t change a thing 12/10, seeing this show live after 6 years of subsisting off of bootlegs. It’s completely different seeing it live.

Act one, phenomenal, I got jumped scared by Krolock, also got a side eye and a smirk because I whipped around so fast once he was in the aisle and was smiling like an idiot.

The dancers were incredible black vampire put so much into it and also some fun little unexpected things from him. All the dancing was absolutely flawless from everyone else as well.

Magda was incredible, her fear leading up to her getting bit was palpable, was she was a vampire she was so cheeky!

I normally hate Chagal but he was so funny, like going to bite Magda, mocking her fear, and then realizing, oh fuck he’s a vampire. Weirdly charismatic, especially with Magda when they’re in a crypt. They were fun to see.

Herbert so so baby, tall as hell, very playful, also wonderful voice!

Alfred. What a cutie, I’m usually pretty meh on Alfred’s but I couldn’t stop smiling during Fur Sarah because he was so sweet and sincere.

Fun things

Alfred dropping on top of the coffin was a solid thunk so it was very funny

Krolock kept showing Sarah off after he bit her while carrying her, dipping her down to show her bite to the others. Krolock went to say something during Vor dem Schloss and was cut off by the professor, very funny, definitely being a playful asshole with the professor but delivered such a good and moving bit once it was just him and Alfred anything that was loud and big was followed by lines delivered so softly I couldn’t help but be entranced. On a spicy note, dear lord the growls, going to bite Sarah at the end of ToFi was, oof, held her close the entire time while touching her, almost had a kiss during ToFi as well. Gier was Heart breaking.

Rebecca was wonderful, definitely the wife tired of her husband’s wandering eye but still loved him dearly.

Wow look at that back to Krolock, filippo definitely has younger vibes as Krolock, gorgeous voice, went for it with adding riffs and having fun with it vocally, it works really well with everything he has going.

Kristen was fabulous as Sarah, definitely a favorite now. She’s so playful and sweet as Sarah, very clear voice, and beautiful on the high notes.

Froze at stage door, completely worth it though. Filippo was so kind, remembered my friend and I from when he walked through the aisle and took the time to talk with us.

She wasn’t sure how she drove to the Starbucks by her school safely, but now she was having second thoughts about coming here. The couple behind her was involved in the middle of a serious “I love you” fest and she wasn’t sure she could handle another “Love Bunny” or “Cutie pie” from them without shouting at them to scram.

Who even talked like this in public?

This sucked. Going to that auto-shop was a dumb idea. She was such an idiot. Dem was right, she should’ve just closed her eyes to it all. After all, the transfer was anonymous and she wasn’t supposed to know.

The truth was, she wasn’t even properly angry with Jasper. At least, not in the way she was supposed to be. Yes, he did cross a big personal line by giving her the money. But in all honesty, it was a nice thing to do.

She was angry because, by doing so, he made himself strictly off limits. Not that he wasn’t before, but this made it more real. She couldn’t possibly take the guy’s money and then have any sort of a relationship with him. Even fantasizing about it seemed wrong now.

She sighed. It was so messed up, but the entire time she was in his office, she imagined getting him out of his clothes. It was a really good thing she left when she did...

The couple behind didn’t stop their relentless flirting and it didn’t seem like they were going to stop any time soon. She so needed a smoke.

Tomoko’s actually doing what a lot of quasi-incel degenerates are afraid to do in high school and is taking an actual stab at self-improvement. Will karma rear its ugly head, or is the series now beyond that point?

I only just noticed that Tomoko’s wearing a “happy” shirt. Remember when she was sporting the “alone” shirt back in year one? Even her clothes get character development.

Oh, shit. Your girl Yuu-chan talking this whole cram school thing seriously even though she’s at a disadvantage. You see, this is why Yuu is literally the best. Despite being at the “top” of the school clique food chain, she has not once ever felt like “bottomfeeders” like Tomoko and Komi were below her in any way. Sure, she knows they’re weirdos, but she makes those acknowledgments without judgement, and all while putting herself on the same leveling field. She doesn’t love them ironically–she loves them sincerely, and that’s why Yuu is awesome.

Sorry if this turned into a ramble, but Yuu only gets like, one panel of dialogue nowadays and I wanted to make the most of it.

Black leggings at home? That’s exactly the kind of conservative attire Yuri would wear and only Yuri could look amazing in. Seriously, If Ikko hadn’t become a manga artist, she would have made a damn fine fashion designer.

And Tomoko be crushing that “home-visit” flag like a motherfucking chode.

I could make a pretty tasteless joke about how “haha, Yuri will never look at you like you’re trash like she does at Tomoko,” but,

a. it’s just the angle of the smartphone like Yuri said, and

b. you’d probably prefer to get denied like that, wouldn’t you?

I can’t help but wonder if Tomoko realizes just how homoerotic she sounds. Like, does she have any inclination that her borderline-sexual harassment jokes could easily be misconstrued as flirting? Sure, she might be using the old excuse that “we’re both girls, so it’s fine right?”, but given that Tomoko at least knows about LGBTQ+, you’d think it would have at least crossed her mind.

Or maybe, on a sadder note, Tomoko doesn’t see it as flirting because she really does have zero faith in her own attractiveness...

There is no heterosexual reason for this exchange whatsoever.

Alright, so I’m a dude, so...hell do I know. But do girls typically not wear bras when just lounging around the house? I know Tomoko is the kind to just wear tank tops if she can help it, but I always thought that was a characterization unique to her, and that other girls wear bras for the comfort and support like any other undergarment. I mean, sure, Yuri’s kind of reserved, but I wouldn’t think wearing a bra at home would be considered an oddity, yeah? I ask this out of genuine curiosity, but I’ll stop before it gets too creepy.

Side note, you can officially tell when Yuri gets pissed by her nose crinkles.

I could give a long, analytical spiel about why Yuri didn’t give Tomoko a straight answer and speculate on what she was doing, but I eventually realized the answer was actually really simple:

It didn’t fucking matter to the story.

The last time Tomoko had one of these “I know!” moments, she ended up trimming her pubes on a class trip. But surely Tomoko’s character growth wouldn’t allow something like that to happen again, would it not? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Tomoko, what are you playing at? You just said that video chatting was erotic and tried to get Yuri to lewd herself for you. And now you were planning to appear on-screen totally naked and you somehow don’t see any sexual implications for this at all? Finding it funny would be an elementary schooler’s mentality. If you seriously have no confidence in your sexuality, then sweetheart, you need some help.

You ever notice that Tomoko can lie through her teeth when trying to screw with people, but when lying to be nice, it sounds so phony? I think that says a lot about the kind of person she is.

I was never one to go crazy about blushing anime girls ‘cause to me, it always felt like it stemmed from some sadistic desire to see girls look uncomfortable. So while I can’t get behind it for reasons like that, I can admit that Yuri’s blush is fucking precious and I think that’s because I love seeing her so emotionally transparent for once. It feels rare, raw and well-earned after all this time, so yeah. A++

Oh, Tomoko, if only you knew that skill often has nothing to do with it. Yuri’s not embarrassed because she sucks at humming, but because you saw a side of her that she only lets out in private. Trying to reassure her is a good move, but putting the girl on blast like that is not going to end well.

I felt like the vibration alone would’ve left a huge-ass crack on Yuri’s phone screen. This whole moment is like eleven tiers of funny because even though Tomoko is probably miles away, the impact of Yuri’s punch still jostles her. It also helps that we can visibly see Yuri’s fist come down mere millimeters from Tomoko’s mug.

There is no escaping her wrath, Tomoko.

I feel you, girl. For me, nothing beats a good ol’ burger and fries after a hard day of studying.

Careful there, Tomoko. If there’s one thing that studying has taught me (other than I hate it), it’s that you could get serious burn out if you go all-out on the first day, especially if you’re typically not a regular studier. Always make sure to get dem breaks in.

That sounds like the kind of line you’d see in a mainstream shounen action manga like [ ]. I don’t even have a direct reference here, so feel free to fill in the blank.

Hey, with Tomoko’s luck, I was expecting karma to hit her harder than Truck-kun in an isekai anime, so I consider this a small loss.

Man, remember when we were young and had ambitions as high as the sky, and we all wanted to change the world by being firefighters, astronauts, idols, and presidents?

Kind of sucks that “financial stability” has become our goal in life as we enter adulthood. Perhaps that’s just the mindset creative-types like Tomoko have towards the STEM industry when it’s hard to see what makes that world so personally fulfilling.

Oops, my opinions are starting to seep in, so let's move on.

Nooo, don’t do it, Nico Tanigawa Tomoko! Don’t sell out your passions for financial security even though it’s a totally viable career decision! How else are we going to validate the pursuit of our artistic dreams?

How in the hell is Tomoko balancing that drink? I’m willing to let it pass for rule of cute, but I don’t care how secure that cup is. One wrong move and those practice sheets are done for.

Jesus Christ, Nemo is on some otherworldly dimension of cute right here.

I don’t even think Tomoko is trying to one-up her or anything. This is already the most effort she’s given to study in a single instance, so I think she genuinely just wants to share this personal accomplishment.

You know, while it’s already been established that Tomoko and Nemo have different tastes in anime, that doesn’t necessarily mean they wouldn’t watch the same show, right? Just for different reasons. While Nemo would watch her cute slice-of-life series earnestly, Tomoko would probably watch them ironically MST3K-style. In any case, it’s a good way for them to find some common ground.

Bruh, Nemo must be over the fucking moon for this opportunity. Think about it: when was the last time she’s had someone to watch anime with her? After concealing her power level for so long, this could be the first time Nemo has had a fellow anime fan to geek out over a series with. And not just discussing it afterward, but actually reacting to a live episode together.

Nemo may give Tomoko all kinds of shit, but this is actually what she wanted all along, wasn’t it?

Boy, Tomoko sure gets pretty demanding when she’s sleep-deprived, huh? I’d hate to see how loose her inhibitions get when she’s stark-raving drunk.

Is this referencing the Quintessential Quintuplets anime? I don’t know anything about it other than that’s a kickass title.

Hey now, Tomoko, beggars can’t be choosers. Let Nemo give you the play-by-play at her own pace. She’s even acknowledging that you hate the source magazine without a hint of judgment. She’s gonna go places.

At first, I thought all this recent armpit content was just an incidental joke. Then I thought it was the mangaka slyly inserting their fetish into the series. Then I realized the series turned the joke on its head and made it a meta-reference about their very thing their readers were accusing them of.

Well played.

You ain’t slick with that leg service, Nino Tanigawa. Just sayin’.

Seriously though, I love the dynamic going on in this conversation. Tomoko and Nemo are approaching the discussion from different outlooks, the former looking at it from a degenerate’s perspective and the latter looking at it more optimistically. But even so, they’re not trying to “get the upper hand” like they might've done before. They’re simply having a totally organic talk about what they do and don’t like about the series, while still recognizing each other’s personal preferences. For once, it’s completely devoid of passive aggressiveness and it really shows how earnest their friendship has become.

At some point, I think Tomoko’s consumed so much near-pornographic content that pretty much all anime, manga, VNs, etc. looks like the same hentai to her.

Every fiber of my being says that this is a reference to Komi-san Can’t Communicate, but it could just as well be the mangaka shooting themselves in the foot for a good joke. In any case, I do like how they point out shy, socially awkward girls is a rising trend that borders on romanticizing communication problems.

Does that make Watamote a hipster manga since it did the whole “social anxiety girl” shtick before it was cool?

I wanted to make a pretentious joke about how basic that anime sounds and how I’m so above a show that panders to the masses, but even I like junk food, so I’ll spare you the hypocritical humor.

If Ucchi caught a glimpse of this, she’d probably explode right on the spot.

I spent a good five minutes trying to decipher how Tomoko’s sleeping expression could be seen as “happy”, and I realized that it’s not that she looks happy. It’s that she doesn’t look unhappy. I’d imagine that those plagued by anxiety and stress have it evident on their face when they sleep, so the fact that Tomoko fell asleep in relative bliss must mean she’s had a pretty satisfying day. To top it all off, this is one of the few times someone–and Nemo of all people–has seen Tomoko in all her vulnerability.

And you know what? Nothing bad happened. No punchline undermining the moment, no sarcastic quip, no embarrassment. Just genuine sweetness and it really speaks to the series’ faith in its heartwarming moments.

As a final note, I just wanted to thank everyone again for their patience. I’ve been trying to put a fresh spin on this, making it a little more comedic since its honestly getting harder to “analyze” without constantly repeating myself. It’s a lot of fun, and I hope you guys enjoy it for what it is.

Okay, I'm mad. I was supposed to post this waaay earlier but Tumblr fucked it up and here we are. My anxiety's tryna crawl back to me and I have to deal with it too, so, ugh, bear with me.

I've got something to confess: I don't know why or how, but I recently entered the Halzek spiral and so whenever they're around one another I literally freak out. Can you blame me, though?

Who is this Andrea girl? Is she an angel sent from above who's gonna help us associate the word end to Manstead? Has that moment finally arrived? Sarcasm aside, I'm curious! I wanna know what was/is the nature of her relationship with Will. They definitely fucked at least once -- I'm not saying it, their faces were saying it. Sorry, guys, I don't make the rules.

Dr. Marcel. I can't call him Crockett because in Italian it sounds like nugget. Like, you say chicken nuggets, we say crocchette (Crockett-e) di pollo, and it's just weird lol.

That look on his face he had every time he had to announce the time of death of one of his patients honestly broke my heart. He felt so helpless and, I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to give him a big hug.

I don't really know how I feel about his character, though... sometimes I like him, sometimes I don't. I just feel like he has a big, kind heart underneath that cheesy and cocky surface and I know he'll eventually grow on me.

Also, does he have a crush on April or is he just being, you know, himself..? Because I'm not a huge fan of love triangles and I think Chexton is endgame, but I don't know??? I don't wanna see what could happen with the three of them, but I also wanna see it. It makes no sense, good.

William and Natalie (≠ Manstead, careful there). Did you notice how cool it was without the two of them causing unnecessary drama? They suddenly became almost lovable (I actually would die for Will, who the fuck I'm kidding lol) when they're not near one another. Seriously though, I liked them in these episodes (yup, Natalie too, unbelievable!)

Okay, I'll stop with this shitty type of sarcasm. It's not even funny LMFAO.

I am so into this intelligent, witty and super capable version of William Halstead and, yeah, I know the emergency situation required him to be, but I feel like maybe Andrea's presence spurred him a little bit? I'm just randomly guessing here.

And Natalie too! I loved the interaction between her and Hailey, I think they never ever spoke to each other before, so it was cool to see them together.

About Hailey... the promo pictures truly misled me (and my fellow Upstead shippers) and now I feel stupid for believing they were gonna feed us with some juicy content. I mean, I wasn't expecting Jay to confess his feeling to Hailey (even thought, in my - not - humble opinion, he already did in 6.22), but damn bro!!! He didn't give two fucks about how she was doing. He literally only went to Med to update her on the investigations and that's all. I feel betrayed. Not only by Jay, but by the whole unit, except for my giant teddy bear Kevin and Voight (he cares in his own way). What I'm saying is, of course the squad was concerned about her (I hope so?), it would've been cool to see it (I'm a chaotic bitch, leave me alone).

Maggie and Sharon. You’re telling me that Maggie needed Sharon to force her into going home, otherwise she would’ve stayed at the hospital? I love Maggie, she’s my favorite character in Med, but that’s just dumb. Periodth. I’m glad Sharon sent her home... the fuck?

Good Lord, Jay Halstead really seemed to be concerned about his brother well-being. That's a first! I bet they read the post in which I was ranting about him not giving a damn whenever Will gets injured. The definitely read it (yup, sure honey).

The scene in which he was being held hostage by that scien-terrorist (Hailey thing her hair up was super sexy to see, by the way)... Jay, did you really had to make that long ass cut on your arm? I swear to God, he's so extra sometimes (6.07!!!), he could've just cut the tip of one of his fingers. Like, hello?

I know y'all kinda hate him, but can we protect William Halstead forever and ever? Cutie wanted to follow Voight to wherever Jay was.

Will is dumb af (like dumb dumb) but he's a sweetie.

Rojas and Atwater go get drinks together. I see y'all, that's what I want to hear. But how come Trudy Platt, queen of roasting people, didn't tease Vanessa about it? She's must've been really exhausted, that had been a hell of a day!

Adam and Kim. Are they forreal? I mean, their scene lasted, what, 1 minute max, and it was the ultimate hottest thing. And they were only looking at each other and their fingers were touching. That's all. They're driving me insane already, good. I like it. They got some beautiful round asses, both Marina and Paddy. Congrats. I guess Grandpa Hank is gonna have another grandchild (Ruzek is basically Hank's son, we all know that).

Jay Halstead smiling at life for once... it makes me smile too.

I always love me some Halstead brothers scenes, it's always good to see them together.

The plot idea was cool, very Halloween-esque, and it made me think of Justin Timberlake’s song Supplies (the world can end now, baby, we’ll be living in The Walking Dead).

I absolutely loved how everything had been so smoothly done: Brett and Foster at Med, Kim at the crime scene, Boden’s phone call, Voight driving the car, and I could go on forever with examples... what I’m tryna say is that the interaction between the characters was portrayed super well. Whoever edited the crossover certainly did their part, but I think all of this is also due to the fact that the cast members are friends in real life too and, yeah, it was super cool to see them all together.

Sounds superfluous to say it, but I loved this crossover. It’s definitely my favorite one, hands down.

Trance does SUCH A GOOD JOB in handling both Danny and Phantom in SA I’ve felt EXACTLY the same way as I’ve followed it over the past couple years as well as her one-offs (and honestly the heroic amusement-esque twoshot she did a while ago still fucking HURTS but I’m biased to herofun).

So many good fics and wips and oneshots have stemmed out of tumblr over the years. Kimu has a great fic called Snow-Colored Lenses that’s a different twist (not necessarily tied to canon but GREAT interactions between characters), and Intertwined is super promising and a super slow-burn (a pining that may not be recognized by either and mmf).

I know for a few of us that are older in the fandom like myself get side-tracked by life and work and trying to tackle our problems daily, and I think it was great while ago that a discord was set-up so that fans could chat. Now all I gotta do is make a discord, lmao

Life´s too short for weird music - 2019 - „A ghosteen dances in my hand, slowly twirling twirling all around“ (Nick cave and the Bad Seeds / Ghosteen)

Wie schrieb ich kürzlich im Dekade 2010-2019 Rückblick? „Erfreulich an 2019 ist, dass sich die positive Entwicklung der letzten Jahre – abgesehen von der kurzen Delle in 2018 fortzusetzen scheint.“ Und in der Tat: 2019 hat eine Vielzahl an guten Songs zu bieten, es verstärkt sich allerdings der Eindruck, dass sich die Verhältnisse zur Veröffentlichung einzelner Songs und weg von Alben bzw. EPs fortsetzt. Und so ist es nicht ganz einfach, zehn Longplayer aus 2019 zusammenzutragen, die das Prädikat „outstanding“ verdienen.

Da sich aber doch einiges an guter Musik ergeben hat im letzten Jahr der 10er Jahre weite ich auch für 2019 das Format meiner Festive Charts gerne auf eine Festive Top 100 aus. So kann ich dem musikalischen Output des Jahres 2019 halbwegs gerecht werden.

Die Bands des Jahrzehnts – Hot Chip und Metronomy allen voran – konnten sich auch in 2019 mit neuen Alben und vielen guten Einzelstücken in Szene setzen. Etwas überrascht hat mich die starke Präsenz von Fujiya and Myagie – vier Notierungen in den Top 100 – wenngleich tendentiell eher in den hinteren Regionen sprechen da schon eine deutliche Sprache. Und das bei einer Band, die ich immer mal wieder gerne höre, deren Sound mir in zurückliegenden Jahren hier und da doch etwas zu zweidimensional erschien.

Unbedingt zu erwähnen ist an dieser Stelle auch das 2019er Album „No geography“ der Chemical Brothers: die ersten 17 Minuten des Albums, welche die Stücke „Eve of destruction“, „Bango“, „No geography“ und „Got to keep on“ in One Go umfasst, stellen die beste zusammenhängende tanzbare Schlaufe dar, die Electronic Music seit Menschengedenken – genauer seit dem ersten Orbital Album in 1991 (Sie erinnern sich? - „Chime“, „Midnight“ und „Belfast“) hervorgebracht hat.

Erfreulich auch, dass sich Popmusik made in Germany auch in 2019 in den Top 100 niederschlagen konnte. Allen voran die Goldenen Zitronen, die mit „More than a feeling“ sicherlich nicht eines der besten, aber bestimmt eines der relevantesten Alben zum aktuellen Status der BRD der letzten Jahre veröffentlicht haben. Und mit „Das war unsere BRD“ gewissermaßen einen – extrem ironischen - „Hit“ über Westdeutschland der 70er Jahre beinhaltet. Daneben konnten fas schon Dauerbrenner Roosevelt, Newcomer „Sparkling“ und Andreas Dorau (mit und ohne Station 17) zur guten Bilanz beitragen.

Kevin Parker hat seinem Tame Impalla- Kosmos Ego hat mit „Borderline“ und „Patience“ weitere wunderschöne Fixsterne beigefügt. Sehr erfreulich war auch das langersehnte Comeback von Friendly Fires - „Offline“ entschädigt vielfach für die fünf Jahre andauernde Wartezeit.

Sehr spannend auch das audiovisuelle Jahresprojekt von Underworld „Drift-series“ welches wöchentlich neue Musik, Filme, Fotographien und andere Kunst hervorbrachte. 330 Minuten der nicht immer gelungenen aber zumeist spannenden Musikveröffentlichungen sind auf der längsten Playlist (von Album möchte ich da nicht sprechen) des Jahrzehnts vereint.

Außergewöhnliche konzeptionelle Longplayer von Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds („Ghosteen“) und Bon Iver („I, I“) runden das musikalische 2019 ab. Schön, dass es noch Künstler gibt, die eindrucksvoll belegen, dass ei Album mehr seien kann, als die Summe seiner Songs.

Der beste Song stammt 2019 sehr überraschend von Flume – was, aber nahezu ausschließlich der Zusammenarbeit mit London Grammar und der Voice der Dekade – Hannah Reid – geschuldet ist.

Und zum Abschluss des Jahres darf ich Ihnen dann noch meine stets subjektiv gefärbte Jahres Top 100 (die Kurzen) Songs 2019 und Top 20 (die Langen) Alben 2019.
