I've definitely written Bucky loving sundresses before but now that there's a bit of a chill in the air, I'm imagining the same sundresses but with tights underneath 😏

Having the tights keeps you a little bit warmer but it doesn't give Bucky the access he's used to. The tights are such a tease because he knows how flimsy they are but they're in the way of what he wants and that would never do.

♡• Damnnn, I don't know where to start 😵 he's a clever, smug ass, and he knows it, but I'm a full believer that this man could fall in love with the right person surprisingly deeply. I'm not making him out of character in any way by saying he'd fall in love at first sight, because he wouldn't, but he would have a growing interest in you that develops over the weeks into something more without him even realising it.

♡• You probably met when you both caught on with an outcome of a game, or someone giving off weird vibes. Probably in the Jack of Hearts game? He'll watch the manipulation and secret communications going on, and then notice that you're looking in the same direction. Your eyes will meet, and you'll just know that you're thinking the same thing, which interests him, and he'll raise a brow at you with that smirk of his from the other end of the room.

♡• Your independence and surprising intelligence are what moved Chishiya to wander over to you and make a comment or something about how it's going, and you'll get short conversations afterwards that pick up from there. It's nice to see someone who's not already breaking down from the intensity of the bloody games or is too stupid to notice that they'll probably be one of the first to die. So he starts popping up in place you hang around, just to see if you really are different in the way he likes. You are, ofc 🙃

♡• Once you've properly got a chance to talk outside of the game and form an unspoken sort of friendship, Chishiya finds himself intrigued by your personality. He wants to know how you think. How you feel. What you like and don't like. As the games and days go by, he's kind of borderline obsessed in this way 😂 because he's never really found someone interesting and special enough to catch his attention and hold onto it before, so with you, he's mesmerised in his own way.

♡• You can feel his stare from a mile away and damn he's a shameless starer 😏 and him being him will just give you a smirk, hold your gaze and then look away again. It happens a lot, and it always leaves you puzzled. Or he'll wave at you from a different vantage point of a particular game like he did with Aguni. The other people in the game get kind of suspicious by how you're both so ahead, whispering to each other every now and then and making it out of everyone alive, but Chishiya doesn't really care. He doesn't make his partnership with you in games a secret unless it's necessary.

♡• He gets to that point of trusting your decisions and you as a person where he starts speaking his mind to you instead of quietly to himself as well, and when you're on the same page of finishing each other's sentences, Chishiya definitely compliments your thinking, especially when you pick up on something that he didn't. He looks uncharacteristically, mildly taken aback as he studies you for a quick moment, but then it's replaced with that signature smile with a hint of something more in those deep brown eyes. "Clever girl, aren't you?" It's not condescending at all, it's more admiration and fondness, enough to make you smile and look away.

♡• When Chishiya comes to the point where he realises that it's not just fondness as a captivating friend that he feels for you, it's turning into a lot more than he ever expected himself to feel. He has to be alone for a little while to think about it, since it's another life, another responsibility besides his own, and close relationships have always been something he's never thought right for him. Until you.

♡• Frustrates the hell out of him on the one side, but he doesn't want to deny and push it away either. So after a time, he'll come and find you again, and instead of straight up asking you out like a normal person, he'll softly comment about how you two just work, have a meeting of minds he's never felt before. Not only in games, but in other ways too. He's not sappy or anything, but it's obvious he really likes you by the unusually gentle look on his features.

♡• Just kiss him 😵 that'll seal the deal, and suddenly you're the power couple of the borderlands with a smug-looking grey-blonde haired man who casually says, "I guess we're in this together, then, hm?" in the sweetest and cockiest way, like you didn't just make out for a solid five minutes just a second ago. ♡• Again, power couple 100000% 😏 he knows it, he's silently proud and smug about it, but again, not a loudmouth. He won't hide your relationship in any way because he values it, but he won't make a big deal of it when the group start asking.

♡• Chishiya knows you can handle yourself, since he's seen you win games independently using your own skills and knowledge, but still, he doesn't want to take chances. Not with you. So outside of games, he'll give you precious insights into how he thinks, so that you can realise things more quickly and win more easily. Probably even goes as far as to help you win when you're sticking by communicating with you in a secret way too. You've got to stay alive for each other. That's his only priority. He refuses to even think about a mistake that could be made, and the price you'd have to pay. It won't happen, not with him around. And I mean, he's a doctor too, so if you get hurt, he'll fix it up pretty easily.

♡• If you get overwhelmed every so often by the deaths and the blood and the pain, like having to take a step back and control your breathing, stop yourself from crying, Chishiya will know straight away. He's not afraid to show part of his hidden soft side with you, even if it's only been a week or so since you've met or you're not officially dating - he's not shy. Just reserved. So he'll tilt your face to look him dead in the eye with a gentle touch, and whisper so only the two of you can hear, "Don't cry now. You've got to use that brain of yours to get back home with me. Understand? Come on, breathe, you can do it."

♡• Behind closed doors, he's a lot more open to affection. Chishiya is the warmest boy ever when you want cuddles after a particularly rough face card game, or just to be close to him. Sometimes you'll talk in hushed tones about your pasts, or what you'll do in the future outside of the borderlands, sometimes it's just a comfortable silence. He finds it hilarious when you make up stories and tell him exactly what you want to do back at home, like get a cat or travel somewhere and eat something particular. He'll be all teasing about it like, "I'm going to be dragged with you to all these places then, am I? Just because I'm a doctor and make good money, you're gonna spend it all for me?" "Yes." "Minx."

♡• He's a whole simp in his own way, so at the end of the day, when you make it out of there alive, you can take him anywhere. Chishiya hated his empty life anyways, so going back to it after all this effort would be ludicrous. It might encourage him to come up with his own pet name for you from one of those two, especially if they aren't the languages you speak!

💠Coming up with pet names that stem from a person's used name is hard, especially when it's so short 🤔 But at some point, you'll get the grand idea of calling him "Tone" or "Tones"

💠He… does not like it. But you seem to have fun saying it… so he'll allow it. It'll grow on him after awhile, in a sort of annoying but endearing way. It's playful and cheery, and he responds to it regardless, soooo have fun with it 😘

💠He might not really follow your lead for a while, but rest assured it's because he's trying to figure a few out, and also waiting for the right time and place to just- casually say it? It's just a bit new and unnatural to him, and he doesn't want to sound silly, ya know? Or worse, accidentally call you something you don't like :( But even if you don't like it or it's something triggering, don't hold it against him! He didn't know and he's trying!

💠If any of those new pet names ever do find their way out, it'll most likely be a heat-of-the-moment sort of deal 😉

💠He's in the middle of eating you out when he first lets it slip. You're already soaked and about to cum on his tongue for a second time, pulling his hair and mewling his name. 💠If your name can easily be shortened into a cute but recognizable nickname, he'll pick up on it. Actually, if the first letter of your name "ends" with the ee sound (such as B, D, C, etc.), he'll really latch onto it! It'll be how he beckons you from another room, or an affectionate whimper in your ear when he's close. At one point, he never thought he'd use anything other than your real name tbh, but now your real name is probably reserved for more serious moments, or used outside of privacy. Not always, though! He may say it instead of your usual nickname just because he still likes to hear it :) If you're in a bad mood or something's wrong, he'll so gently say that pet name and curl around you, and if he's in a bad mood you'll know it's not because of you when he pouts it and curls into you ❤️‍🩹

💠Right off the bat, he's only using your real name in social situations, but it won't necessarily be any "personal" or particularly, uh, "affectionate" names, so to speak.

💠It's probably in a triumphant asshole sort of way, how comfortable he is calling you "babe" or "baby". So confident, in fact, that even when you're mad at him, he's de-escalating the situation with a nonchalant babe. and taking your hands in his. It's probably both endearing and irritating, and might even escalate the situation instead.

💠When he gets a little more comfortable, it'll still be the same thing, except now he's dragging out the a and pouting it into your neck until you give in to whatever he's pleading about 🙄

💠But it gets you comfortable with calling him babe or baby right back, and he gets just as smug hearing from you.

💠But when he's actually comfortable, and absolutely in love with you, he'll start branching out a lot more!

💠"Honey" will be a popular one! To get your attention before he asks you a (possibly loaded) question, or when he's brushing off one of your own loaded questions. With gentle affection when you're upset, and when he's trying to get your attention to make sure you're still okay when you're tied up and trembling 😌 It's a very homey and domestic pet name, and just as sweet as you!

💠"Dear" is sarcastic 😒 and may earn him a playful slap when he answers you with that annoying "yes, dear." Sometimes he just wants to get you a little irritated at him, and sometimes he just can't help his passive-aggressive sarcasm!

💠Occasionally, he may playfully call you love or lovely 🥰 Even an occasional "love of my life," but that's probably when he's drunk and/or in trouble ❤️‍🩹 Call him love or my love right back, and he'll look at you with that goofy grin and snuggle into you!

💠This man knows a few languages, fairly fluent in one or two, and/or is at least in the middle of learning one. He may jokingly call you a new term of endearment he's learned, but if you like it, he'll actually keep it! Bonus: he might just straight up start whispering in that same language about everything he's going to do to you in your ear while a hand sneaks between your legs 😏 Of course, you might not know what he's saying aside from melting at that one word you've heard him call you every so often, but it's incredibly hot nonetheless!

💠If your native language isn't English, don't be afraid to try out a few of your own terms of endearment on him! Especially if it's not a language he knows! Of course he'll figure out what it is very soon, so you can't get away with random words that just sound pretty unless you're trying to be silly (or maybe even passive-aggressive)! Plus, he'll definitely pick up on whatever word you choose, and/or pick another one out to call you! And, in this case, it probably won't be long before he can have basic conversation with you, too 💛

💠He's probably not very keen on trying to come up with a name that stems from your used name unless it's something he can easily shorten, but even then, he kinda just likes and prefers to say your name if that's the case!

💠He's also not very keen on you trying to do that with his name. He likes hearing his name on your lips! He's more receptive to that playful chime of "Tone" or "Tones" than his younger self, but it's probably not something that'll be used often. Honestly, if you want something for an occasional sweet and playful pet name, just combine his name with other pet names! Tony-love and Tony-dear will actually become some of his favorites!

💠"What is it, babygirl?" He'll ask you so innocently when you sob his name, with a playful nip at your thigh to give your abused clit.. He'll say it smooth and low into your ear as part of his command for you to cum, or might use your real name if he's just as in the moment. Occasionally he may use bunny in the place of baby or babygirl, but it's probably mocking or sarcastic more often than not!

💠It still comes from a place of affection, but when he's really riled up, you're every type of slut he can think of! 💠And speaking of names he doesn't like, don't say his full name 😔 Still hates it just as much, and while you may get, ahem, "rewarded" even when you call him one of those annoying names, he'll make sure you have no incentive to keep on with that one! Even if you like to see him irritated and suffering, he'll just flat-out ignore you (which, in turn, might cause him to accidentally ignore it in any government situations where his full name is accidentally used 😅)

i also wanted to ask about the audience’s reaction to satoru dedicating a song to suguru at his concert!!! as someone who is in kpop fandoms (which is also why this fic is so dear to me, the parallels with the challenges and pressures they face;;) i can just imagine all the takes fans would immediately have about the whole thing AHAHA also makes me go aww that suguru couldn’t fully enjoy the performance but sksjddj i loved the angst sm

So, Tsumiki is definitely present in the Threshold universe! Gojo didn't mention her by name when he was telling Megumi's story, but when he said Megumi didn't want the Zen'in fortune because he's "stubborn as hell", he was talking about Tsumiki.

It's a parallel to canon basically. The Zen'in — obsessed with bloodlines as they are — seriously underestimated the strength of the Fushiguro siblings' bond when they refused to factor Tsumiki into their discussions with Megumi. Hence, he followed Gojo into music rather than rely on their dirty money. That's why the Zen'in blame Gojo, even though it's really just because Megumi's a spiteful little so-and-so! 😏

Because of the parallels with canon, Megumi would try to keep Tsumiki away from the toxicity of the music industry as much as possible — hence why she wasn't at the album launch. However, I like to think that her career is adjacent to Megumi's in some capacity! As much as I love writing about the Fushiguro siblings' relationship with Gojo, the inclusion of that story served more to give Suguru a look into the real Gojo Satoru, so she's unlikely to feature in this fic. I think continuing their story would require a sequel — which I'm not even gonna think about until Threshold is finished... I'm not, I'm not thinking about it!

As for Gojo's dedication at the concert, he spoke in Japanese so Suguru would understand him, so most of the audience wouldn't have known what he was saying immediately. However, I'm sure the online reactions once the videos were translated and passed around were very interesting! Having said that, it's hard to communicate the nuances of the Japanese language in an English language fic. To most English speakers, "this was the first song I played for them" seems like a deliberate omission of gender, but that's not the case in Japanese. So, I imagined Gojo using his native tongue very responsibly in that moment, sticking to language that sounds purely professional — but that wouldn't stop fans from speculating 👀

I'm not planning to explore Gojo's past in *too* much detail because it's mostly his present and his future that are relevant to the story. Meanwhile, it's Suguru with the big fat question mark over his past... 🫠 So, if you want to ask questions, go ahead and I will simply avoid sharing spoilers! As for where to ask questions, Tumblr lends itself to longer answers so if you enjoyed this response, probably best to ask here! However, AO3 comments feed my body and soul so feel free to leave those too... It's whatever you prefer really 🥰

We’re so happy to be back in action with the gang we know and love! Where does Blades of Light and Shadow 2 pick up after the first book’s ending?

Emi: I will say that we don't pick up where you're expecting.

Kathleen: Unless you were expecting to get hucked out the back of the plot truck and onto the action highway at 80mph. (Fury Road theme plays)

Lil: (is overtaken by the Two Towers theme)

Emi: But rest assured, our original four love interests are back and dealing with their own challenges.

Lil: And they’re definitely going to need help with those challenges whether you’re romancing them or not. Though we support all variations of ‘mancers here. Mono-, multi-, and necro- .

Emi: Also they get some new looks that can best be described as "sleeves are B.S."

Jay: Don’t forget “badass pirate coat important”.

What kind of new main characters will we meet in the sequel? Or perhaps, any new love interests?

Jay: There is a strange but familiar hooded figure…whose hotness level was of great discussion.

Lil: He’s very constructive with his feedback. And a monster from Book 1 returns, but not in a way you expect.

Emi: I think we all know I'm obsessed with Valax. I mean, she's a badass purple lady who only has one sleeve. Obviously that makes her my wife.

Tom: EMI YOU HAVE TOO MANY WIVES!!!

Kathleen: Idk I'm still mad that hot scorpion lady didn't win the monster contest.

Lil: Sky whale supremacy how dare.

Kathleen: Okay I am excited about the dwarves and goblins though. New dwarf friend is just A+ chaos babe and I love her.

Emi: Honestly though, my fave character is the one who's "head empty, no thoughts, falls over a lot."

Making this sequel has been a labor of love. Does the book team have any must-tell stories/bloopers during production?

Jay: There was an accidental floating dwarf? And too many battles with code. Writers, please don’t do it to me again. I cannot take it. The while loop will win.

Kathleen: During one of my editorial passes I had to give Emi a note like "Okay when we first meet the Big Bad maybe we should use that moment to establish that she's really imposing/scary instead of just going off about how hot she is."

Emi: I may have made too many Aerin memes that are now weekly traditions for our team.

Danielle: I was instructed to design a character with “Vision as a hotness bar” as a guide, I ignored them and used Jeff Bridges instead 😏.

Jay: Danielle also came up with some incredible filenames, my favorite being “tentacle_monster_buff”.

Danielle: It’s accurate, is it not?

Are there any elements that you are particularly proud of?

Tom: The Shadow Realm was fun to make! Think the Upside Down, but more purple. And to make all the awesome new weapons and armor work with the outfits took 150 unique assets! You’re welcome.

Danielle: My first full book!

Lil: The lore guide for Blades was 60 single-spaced pages before we started adding things that came up during active production. I’m really pleased with how much actually ended up being discoverable in the book itself, so be sure to explore every nook and cranny of Morella and beyond! Because they are filled with beauty and chaos.

Emi: I cannot tell you how many spreadsheets we made to keep track of things. I mean, the outline alone was 100 pages!

Jay: My code built 😭. And that my production planning got it to you a little earlier than y’all had anticipated hehe.

At the end of the first book, we seemed to have wiped out the forces of evil for at least a day or so. What kind of dangers will we face in the second edition?

Lil: Evil never sleeps y’all. It gets its coffee from Aerin.

Kathleen: (Aerin, walking up to the counter): "I have a large non-fat birthday cake latte with caramel drizzle and four shots of espresso for (squints at label) ...Emile?"

Lil: In all seriousness, you’re really getting it from all sides in this book. There’s rival factions, shifting leadership, societal upheaval, and monsters. So. Many. Monsters. (Thank you for giving us the Shadestalker, by the way. Can’t wait for you to meet the beefy boy.)

Kathleen: One cool scary thing about book 2 is that THIS TIME, IT'S PERSONAL (like instead of you and your buds racing against bad guys to collect the magic things, you've now got a villain single-mindedly hunting you down so she can steal your <REDACTED> for use in her evil plans).

Emi: Kathleen may have called me out for it but our Big Bad is hot! Both literally and figuratively!

How much do you love QA?

Lil: SO MUCH.

Emi: Pour one out for our poor QA folks who have had to test what is the most complex book we have ever done! You are the real heroes!

Jay: QA peeps are my saviors!! Their work alone cures my anxiety.

Kathleen: Gawd I would be lost without QA my grammar is a disaster

Erin: Everyone on the Blades team is so wonderful to work with. I also tested Book 1, and to be able to contribute to Book 2 means everything to me. It’s absolutely a labor of love.

We know that years of hard work and passion went into this book. What would the Blades team like the readers to take away from this sequel?

Emi: So Kathleen and I actually helped to brainstorm the entire Blades world back when it first came into being, so it felt like coming full circle to be back and expanding it in new and fun ways. I was already in love with all of these characters and they're even closer to my heart now. I can't wait for you all to see what we've come up with!

Jay: Y’all better like it! This book has taken years off my life. *lies down on floor* (But seriously, we’re as excited about Blades 2 as all of you and hope that it brings as much joy to you as it did for us to make. I think the best word to describe the team as we wait for September 1st is giddy.)

Danielle: I hope you like our art :).

Tom: If you don’t, please keep it to yourself, artists are fragile :’}

Lil: I was one of the few people who was new at Choices when I began working on this book, and it was truly an honor to see this thing come together. These are the minds that brought you The Crown & the Flame, The Cursed Heart, Wake the Dead, and the first Blades. It was amazing to go from watching them work as a fan to taking this epic journey together.

Kathleen: THE REAL VILLAIN WAS THE IMPERIALISM WE MADE ALONG THE WAY

Lastly, how much does the team love Aerin?

Kathleen: I DON'T love Aerin he KIDNAPPED my WIFE.

Danielle: Which one…

Emi: Aerin is my sweet baby boi with a little dose of evil. He should be protected at all costs but also really needs to go to therapy. I live for the angst of him and Raine though. It's so juicy.

Danielle: Aerin has caused me, personally, a lot of pain.

Lil: Really, one of the fun things about the book is you can decide how much pain Aerin causes you. Unlike us.

Jay: He haunts my dreams and my Wednesdays.

Hihihi!!! Sorry this has been sitting in my ask for a bit I've been trying to find the time and energy to put down my thoughts!

The general overview is, I think I definitely see the faults people had with it, I think the book is hard to fix and even with the changes there are certain beats they HAVE to hit because of the music, but I also think it has so many gems and this show is so well acted like I find the good far out weighs the bad for me. It's just really engaging grand theater to meee it can be so silly and fun but also really hit with these very earnest moments 🥺, also considering all the drama and tragedy it is surprISINGLY HILARIOUS!! I was giggling so much in act 1. Like RIP to the person sitting next to me who had to see me grip my face and GASP every time something wild happened lmaooo. GOD JUST AHHHHHH SOME OF THOSE MOMENTS WENT SO HARD!!!! Here I'll try my best to narrow some down jk I did a horrible job at narrowing down

- AH that imagery of the single tree in the snow at the very top of the show. Lovely.

-the entire scene with the wedding gone wrong is just soo good and like a mini show on its own with its own little arc. I was so charmed by Phillipa and Andrew's chemistry fr fr so good! I could probably fill a whole post with just moments from this bit!

-When Guinevere is below the right side of the stage (I was sitting to the left)and when she hears the knights refer to him as King her head just slooooooooowly pops into view like 👁️👁️

kinnporsche, hands down. no competition there. second place is more difficult to determine, however... if be my favorite sticks the landing on friday, it might win out against moonlight chicken for me, which was firmly in second place until bmf started airing 👀

Most Underrated Actor:

book kasidet. ever since i watched abaab i've been like, why the hell are people sleeping on this guy?? he's absolutely fantastic and i am hoping and manifesting that only friends is going to be his big break-through. he's going to to be acting opposite of heavy hitters like first and khaotung, and i believe with all my heart that he's going to hold his own AND THEN SOME. my biggest wish for only friends is an emotional firstbook scene because i truly believe they'll be able to make magic together.

now, if this category were most underused actor, i'd say nodt nutthasid. GIVE MY BOY SOME ACTING ROLES!!!

I´m honestly really happy to see so many people simping for Anzu when that´s usually a really rare thing for the MCS of these kinds of games. There´s honestly so much potential for her so I´m more than happy to provide more simping material😏

The characters being jealous because you show clear favoritism toward Anzu

So very obviously, Anzu is going to be very happy that you favor her. You two share a special connection that no one else can compete with, so from her side you always were the most important person to her, but now she has the confirmation that you feel the same for her! It looks like all of her hard work of impressing you with her diligence has paid off! You can bet that she´s more motivated than ever when she does her work as a producer, knowing that her darling likes her more than anyone else. Hah, she can´t stop smiling and there´s a blush on her face whenever she thinks about it ( which is always, tbh).

Everyone knows Anzu as very modest but she´s actually very smug about being your favorite and she will mention it every chance she gets, finding it funny how jealous the idols get every time.

The others of course are in shambles. Trickstar is the most understanding one because they´ve been with Anzu longer than any other unit and they´re also the most normal ones in this AU. They understand why you may feel that way and they´re happy for her but deep down they´re still disappointed.

(Not going to mention every character´s reaction to this because that would be a huge amount of work, just a few that randomly came to mind)

Tsukasa is moping 100% of the time. Like yes, he understands why you may like Anzu ( I mean have you seen how much of a simp he is in-game), but since the day he learned that the person that was with him the entire time was actually you and not Anzu, he´s been so in love with you. And he´s tried so hard to try and court you even through the screen, he´s been nothing but a perfect gentleman, and yet he was beaten. Probably cries about it ngl, he´s so frustrated and kind of throws a tantrum when you aren´t there to see it

Speaking of tantrums! Tori is soooo not happy about this development. You´re supposed to like him the most! He´s the cutest idol in the world and he´s tried to make you feel extra special by giving you cute nicknames but that didn´t seem to work somehow? He´s very upset and he´s not going to hide it, even from you. You can expect him to make some snide comments about the producer when on the home screen. If you´re already in their world then he will still try to invite you over whenever you can and have tea parties with you, of course without Anzu, so he can try to monopolize your time. He´s going to make you see that he´s the best option here!

Izumi is very very pissy and moody, even more so than usual once he finds out about this. You like Anzu the most, the one person you didn´t even get to really talk to when you were playing the game? When he, a literal model, was right there and ready to give you some attention? Are you stupid or something? He definitely won´t just sit by and accept this, you know. He´s picky when it comes to choosing his partner and he´s already made the choice that you are the one for him. Who do you think you are, trying to deny him like that? He´s going to make sure that you come to your senses soon enough. If not, there´s always the option of kidnapping you in case you´re close <3

Mika is honestly just crying. He knows that he´s not good enough, he knows that he´s just a useless doll and could never hope to be on the same level as you, but against all odds, he still held onto a small sliver of hope that you may once consider him worthy of your love. He´s spent the last few months or even years, worshipping your very being and loving you from afar and now he finds out that you prefer Anzu over him or even Shu. He tries to accept it because it´s your will and he could never dare to defy you when you´re always right, but he´s so upset. If only he had done more, if only he had served you a bit better, maybe then you might have shown him mercy and chosen him. But that didn´t happen. How could he be so foolish to think that he deserves your love? He´s nothing without you, of no use at all! Mika might grow back to showing distaste for Anzu but this time it´s not because of Shu. No, he hates her for taking you away when he hadn´t even had enough time to improve himself so you could accept him. She´s not worthy of being with you either, you know?

Shu huffs and utters a snide remark when Anzu brags to him about being your favorite, but as soon as she leaves the room he just kind of breaks down. Not even Mika could console him right now, not that his unit mate is in an appropriate mental state himself. Shu just shuts himself in his room for days on end, no one even seeing his face once the entire time. He tries to throw himself into his work, sewing clothes until his fingers bleed but it´s not enough to fill the hole that has made its way into his heart. The creations that he made exactly to your liking, they weren´t enough. He still hasn´t grown enough as an artist to impress you and so his work is useless. In his desperation, he would rip apart the outfits he had designed previously. What did it matter if you didn´t like them anyway? He had to be better, he had to work hard to win back your favor from that devious woman. Shu is not coming out of that room until he´s satisfied with the new outfits he is making until they are utterly flawless. Deep down, he´s scared that he will never be enough but the only one he voices these thoughts to is Mademoiselle

Ok that episode went by way too quick, but I loved it! My thoughts are sporadic but stay with me lol:

LOVE the fact that we have two black girls as our leads for Frozen, and not to brag but I called it months ago.

Ricky getting Kristoff is slightly annoying because I'm sick of him always being the lead. I was hoping Jet would get it honestly.

EJ being the moose is lowkey funny though

EJ BRINGING GINA FLOWERS?!?! Ugh I love my ship. He's always just trying to make her smile.

You can see some jealous tension rising between Portwell and honestly I lowkey love it. All great couples are gonna have some conflict. Its all in how they work past it.

Poor EJ is so stressed. He just wanted to show his little family his favorite place in the world and have fun for the summer. And now he's stuck doing a whole production alone.

LOVING the Ricky & Jet bonding time. Jet warmed up real quick to Ricky, much like Gina did in s1. And we all know where that led Gina's feelings 😏

Also Jet's story about how is mom just assumed he has ADHD?!?! LIKE?? And the fact that he thinks he's always disappointing his parents is just so sad. He and EJ obvi need a sit down because if anyone can relate to absent but disappointed parents its that boy.

Ashlyn going through an identity crisis is not surprising. Going from being the lead when you weren't expecting to ever be one, to not even getting a main role has got to be extremely hard for someone who already is pretty insecure.

Poor Maddox 😫 she just wants friends and to be accepted. Idk how none of these girls like her yet.

EJ'S VOICE?!?! Not the type of song I imagined would be EJ's solo I was hoping for, but it definitely showcased his voice really freaking well. I'm obsessed. I hope we get at least one more solo.

The fact that EJ was the one that Ricky sought out first when he wanted to go look for the haunted woman in the woods 👀

Even when getting irritated at them for interrupting him, notice how EJ softens his tone when speaking to Gina versus Ricky and Ash? Thats a MAN.

I don't like Rina as a couple, but these Rina moments in the woods are cute I'll admit. I hope they stay just as friends and stay like this. And if EJ can get over his jealousy of them (tho I do believe its warranted) I think they'd make an awesome trio.

Ashlyn's song is BEAUTIFUL and I'm so happy that she's finally getting a solo spotlight moment with just her. I still to this day wish we'd get a version of "Wondering" with just her.

Ricky and Gina being the best friends Ash needs is just 🥺❤️

Also when Ashlyn gets over this little dislike she has for Maddox they're actually gonna be besties because they're so alike.

Jet and Maddox being siblings???? Lowkey here for it??? Also where are their parents cuz I just want to have a few words...

I really love your analysis (and of course all the stories you write) of Kelvin and I was wondering what type of music do you think Kelvin listens to? And what style of clothes would result from that?

I have this idea (or more like a wish/obsession) in my head that he'd listen to rock and metal 😏 maybe not death metal but at least some metalcore and, probably due to me being a Rockabella irl, I so wish for Kelvin to listen to some nice classic and 50s rock while maybe dressing up slightly into that direction. You know those jeans, converse sneakers (or boots) and maybe a tight white t-shirt combined with a leather jacket or something cuter like a white shirt, suspenders and a bow tie. It would look so cute on him 😍

I fully damn agree with you and is fully my headcannon. With the 0.5% of what we can hear of the music he is listening on the helicopter, it have a rhythm more inclined to the rock side, specially since we can listening what it seems to be the drums. Also, as a metal head myself, we can't literally don't listening some rock in a place so metal as a fucking helicopter, I mean, come on, is like say that you love candies and you don't eat one in a trip. Also there is nothing more metal and rad and punk that just listen rock in a middle of a mission as you give 43 fucks about the orders?

He is like "pfff orders? I will see what the fuck I do on land, let me smash this blast against my ears OMG I'M DEAF NOW, what they said about don't hear metal too high to not break my ears was TRUE!"

He seems like rock- punk rock for me, probably some metal in his hard days, specially glam metal like Motley Crue. He also seems to have a (very obvious) soft side, so I guess, in his softie days, he would be listening soft rock, some Queen and Bowie, and full romantics guitars songs country style to which he would fully want to badly slow dance with his SO.

And I think he would secretly likes 80's Disco. I mean, he have the face of someone who drink a beer more of the usual and end crying af and half bad singing Total Eclipse Of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler. Kelvin is the kind of dude who play (badly) to be a hardcore but sing "I'm a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world ♫" with the headphones at max, vacumming the living room, dressed in dark colors with the pastel color apron of his wife/partner.

Kelvin is the kind of dude who will say that certain pop song is too mainstream for his taste but will have it hidden in an album in Spotify. He would pretend is too metal punk pure blood but will have a favorite reggaeton, and he will love it, and dance it hidden in the bathroom as try to twerk to the mirror.

He would listen a variety of genders because he loves music, but he would never confess it because he have a hard appearance to maintain (even when he is a softie, but well, mostly of the most metal punk heads are fucking softies).

And clothes? SAME, VERY AGREE. Early rock style, very Travolta style (I think he would be a mega fan of the movies of the young Travolta, like Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction). Specially if is in a "playfull party mood".
