Another grievance I have is how much the dub gets brought up to criticize something about the series, but a lot of times it’s not even true it’s from people who haven’t seen the dub in a very long time if ever

Honestly… other than [mutual friend] I’ve only seen a little bit of dub slander for dragon ball, I feel like it’s a series that has a majority dub-watcher demographic because a lot of people were just raised on the dub.

But. I definitely see it when it’s original funimation dub vs kai dub, people love to drag it in those debates. There’s arguments for both sides, as well as why other dubs (like ocean dub) are better or worse. Lots of it boils down to preference.

I think it’s kinda valid to like the Japanese dub for various reasons, but the main one I’ve seen is like. Accuracy ? Nuance ? There’s not a few places I can really say I agree with people on in those areas.

Anyways, back to the main point. Yeah, people do tend to use the dub to show like ? Oh this is wrong that is wrong etc etc. I get it I guess, but like ? Sounds nitpicky most of the time, I guess ? Small details that are different from original or whatever. Or details added in. A lot of the time it isn’t something you can blame the dub for on it’s own

Either Snow White/Prince Florian or Prince Cornelius/Thumbelina... or... Curdie/Princess Irene!

I was a real animated fairy tale enthusiast as a child. These three films and the characters' true loves meant a whole lot to me.

That is a great question. I find new fanart every day. But I guess you can say some ships from Spy x Family? I've never watched the show or read the manga, but I'm familiar with the characters! So maybe... Damianya! It's really innocent and adorable. :D

3) OTP?

I think I'll have a different answer any time anyone asks me this! lol.

6. Do you have your work beta'd? How important is this to your process?

I should ask for a beta, but my stuff is always short and simple oneshots so I typically edit everything myself

I do think betas are important for writing and every author should consider getting one though. I just don’t have one because I feel weird asking someone to read something for a fandom they’re not really in

12. how does receiving or not receiving feedback/support impact you?

I love feedback. I always want people to tell me what they think of my writing. Whether they like it or not I crave that information because it lets me know what I’m doing right and what I’m doing wrong

If I don’t receive feedback I get the impression that people probably didn’t like what I wrote, but I have no way of knowing that so I can’t figure out how to improve if it’s the case

DB opinion ask: is there a reason you haven’t seen so much of Z and the old movies

Because I've been watching Dr Slump and plan to rewatch OG DB after that, then Z, GT etc.

I'm a strict chronologist. Just the way I am.

i have never received anonymous hate. but i did receive a like. 60 mile long ask from a stan account for a certain webcomic (it's not homestuck i promise) that just said "kill yourself" over and over again and it was so long i had to zoom my screen out 80% to screengrab the whole thing haha. it was because i did write a critical post of the webcomic that in hindsight was like kind of annoying but receiving that in comparison was p funny

Top 5 Zelda games

This is a real challenge. Because I adore the Zelda franchise, it's one of my favorite gaming franchises of all time. Hopefully I won't get flames!

A Link Between Worlds ~ Although I've already talked about this game in a previous ask, this may still be my favorite Zelda game to date, even though I haven't touched my 3DS in sometime. I adore the story, artstyle, and gimmick. It's set in the same Hyrule as ALttP with similar dungeons. The characters are remarkable. Truly a gem! Maybe it will be dethroned one day. One of my gripes with the game is not earning an important item in dungeons.

Tears of the Kingdom ~ Over 140 hours in, and I still haven't beaten it. I've been savoring every moment I play. I get easily distracted by places, enemies, characters. The caves are awesome. I haven't built a mecha yet (doubt I ever will), but simple Zonai tech will have to do for now!

Link's Awakening ~ Nostalgia time! Fun fact, this was my first ever Zelda game that I ever owned. While my brother played OoT on the N64, I bought myself a Game Boy Color for my birthday one year with Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition and Link's Awakening DX. Fell in love with LA DX instantly. I managed to conquer two full dungeons on my own before finally putting it down and leaving it to rot. And then of course I finally beat it years and years later when Link's Awakening HD remake came out for Switch! I really hope we get Oracle games in the future to follow-up. (only played both once in my life) It's such a sweet little game!

A Link to the Past ~ Hopefully I'm not cheating, but... I first played ALttP on the GBA. I ADORED it, despite not getting very far. (I hated how they reused Link's cries from OoT/MM...) I've tried it a couple of times on Switch Online, but gave up twice. Third time's the charm! I restarted it again earlier this year before TotK came out. I've gotten... maybe at least five to six dungeons down, tops? The manga adaptation is probably my favorite out of any of the Zelda stories. I love the Link and Zelda of this universe. They're terribly sweet together.

Ocarina of Time ~ Would you believe that once upon a time that Majora's Mask was my favorite game in the series? I love it, but the three-day cycle really takes a toll on me. I finally gave up on the Water Temple in the 3DS version. I don't even know if my brother beat it back in the day. But, we did beat OoT together. I think it's purely out of nostalgia for this game. I hope it gets delisted when/if I play WW HD/TP HD in the future.

I have played Minish Cap, BotW (around 200 hours) both Oracle games (once in my life), TLoZ, Zelda II, and Skyward Sword HD.

What I haven't played are Wind Waker, its sequels, Twilight Princess... I would love love LOOOVE to play those games if they come to Switch/Switch's successor. They both look like they have their own charms, characters, stories and love for adventure!

Awwww thanks! A lot of my HCs are more shippy than anything (because I have no self control) or some Hub Lives AU stuff. I'll put those in a separate post one day, so I'll give a couple more generic stuff

Like talking about HBD because I AM OBSESSED

So HBD is most likely a cyanotic heart defect. This means that un-oxygenated blood gets into your system, which leads to shortness of breath and cyanosis (becoming blue in the face) often caused by some kind of stress.

The closest diseases I could find that would be related to HBD are Hypoplasia and Tetralogy of Fallot

TOF is probably the best disease to describe HBD because everything I've read about it reminds me a lot of what Hub and Mamoru go through. Here are some stuff similar to what we know of HBD:

Symptoms can be latent (apparently no one finds out Hub had HBD until a few months after his birth at the earliest)

Open heart surgery during the first year of life depending on symptoms and size (a lot of heart defects can be treated as soon as the baby is born so this is the only thing that's different about HBD which apparently has multiple risky surgeries spanning long periods of time)

If too small, a temporary surgery can be done until the baby is bigger (which would make sense in Mamoru's case and possibly Hub if he was too small to even have the first surgery done)

Can live to be an adult with long term conditions (Mamoru is able to live but his body will always be weaker compared to others)

More common in males

If un-repaired can result in “tet spells”--cyanosis, loss of consciousness, shortness of breath, agitation

Initiated by stress, dehydration, fevers, pain

And I have to talk about Mary's heart condition because while no one probably knows Mary, I am also obsessed with what was going on with her.

Her condition is definitely heart rhythm related because she has a pacemaker. There are many conditions that can cause this, but out of all the options I'm fond of her having a heart block of some kind, leading to symptoms that would cause her body to be weakened.
